American Hears HAGANE - 天下五剣 (The Five Swords of Japan) for the First Time! They Are Brilliant!

This band is packed with musical talent. Sakura Yoshida is indeed a special player. She's posted guitar covers of some insanely difficult shred classics from people like Impelliteri, Malmsteen, etc...and absolutely nails every one of them.

They have been around for a few years, but as a 5 piece. They lost 3 members, vocals drums and second lead guitarist. Lead guitarist and bassist have continued, and this is their first song as the new Hagane. Loving this new line up. Akane from BAND-MAID and Junna are two of my favourite drummers to watch. Just pure joy on their faces when playing.

This is HAGANE ⚔ They are back after losing 3 Members of the Band (they lost Vocals, Guitar & Drummer) They recruited Nagi & Junna, and they are back in a big way!! Sakura is an incredible Shredder, She has been putting out RU-vid Guitar Video's for many years as a young girl. (some of the early ones were deleted.) Incredible Shredder and Junna is something else to behold. Love this band. I have been a fan since early 2022. But they have been around about 5-6 years now. Sakura is the primary Writer and arranger.

Hagane just got back on their feet with three members leaving and added two more back. The vocalist, drummer and second guitarist left the band all at once. The former vocalist and guitarist went on to form Mana Diagram. They are excellent as well. The former drummer is doing session work in other bands. Others have covered Junna's history. Nagi was an audition hire and a novice in a band. I am glad they came back so quickly and with an album too. Sakura is an awesome guitarist. They have been around a few years, this is their rebirth after loosing 3 of 5 members (Singer, Guitarist & drummer who were all outstanding as well). Go back when you can and listen to Blackcult, Labradorite & WinterySky great songs with good MVs as well. This new lineup is also outstanding and I am so happy they are back from the ashes reborn and ready to rock our faces off. I was so nervous they'd be so different without UYU singing, but Nagi nails it. she's her own voice, powerful and beautiful and I can easily see her covering the old songs as well as the new with her own powerful voice. I was not worried too much about the drums, I loved the original drummer KanaKo, she had her own style and it was awesome. But Junna kills it here too. I just prefer KanaKo a tiny bit over her. This band will be very strong with this new lineup though. I hope their chemistry is beautiful and they stay together for many years, albums and tours to come. Sayaka is an awesome bassist, she gets lost in the mix a bit now and then, but she's talented as well and a joy to listen to. I have nothing but positive energy for this band, HaganE is back and they are bad ass! Thank you for giving them some love and my heart goes out to Sayaka and Sakura for enduring and not giving up on their dreams!

You did a pretty deep dive into the lyrics - they are full of poetry. Sakura (the name means "cherry blossoms" in Japanese) wrote this, and to me just come to mind that her project named HAGANE which started promising so much, came to a sudden halt (almost death) when three of their members left the band - and Sakuras dreams where shattered. Of course I don't know if she really felt like this, but the lyrics of this song fit perfectly into this situation, right? And now she started again with two amazing new members (Junna and Nagi) - and there is no time "to look back" but just start into a new hopefully bright future. Btw, Sakura is one of the great female rock/metal guitarists of Japan along with these prodigies Hal-Ca (Asterism) and Lisa-X (now Koiai) and alle the others (Saki, Hazuki, Myako and Midori and, and, and...). I',m a great fan of Junna (had the chance of meeting her in person on her tour last year with Fate Gear touring Europe). Please check her RU-vid channel out - it's really worthwhile!

The talent coming out of Asia today is extraordinary! After falling into the irreverent death of music after the '90s, it was such an expression of sound discovered from that part of the world that showed me who was keeping music alive.....for me anyways. Soooo good!!!

Unmistakably a Hagane composition, even with the new members. Their album "Code;9021" was my 2022 album of the year, specifically the extended version with the acoustic tracks. Well worth seeking out. Ex-guitarist Mayto and ex-vocalist Uyu are now in Mana Diagram; also an excellent band. Anza has one of the most expressive voices I've heard in a while.

Hagane are incredible musicians. This EP is incredible. Sakura guitarist also writes the songs. She is a brillisnt guitarist. Sayaka an incredible bassist. Junna brings energy with her drumming. Nagi, has become one of my favorite vocalists. She has a warmth, brightness in tone. She has power, and softer vocals, subtle voice inflections are so beautiful.🤘⚔️ Music is in schools in Japan, not like here in states where sports, etc take funding away.

This video is the first they have posted since they reformed the band after 3 of the original 5 members of the band quit. Junna (drums) used to be in Trident before leaving them to pursue a solo career, and she is considered by some to be one of the best drummers in Japan, so I was really surprised to see that Sakura (guitar) recruited her to Hagane. The original members of Hagane are all really good too, I'd recommend "Black Cult" for a taste of the original band. Two of the original members of Hagane that left have joined a new band called Mana Diagram, which is also really good, but really new so there aren't a lot of videos from them yet.

I recommend when you first do other language videos, is to watch it twice. Once without lyrics and a second with. You don't need to show it twice to us. Just cut away and come back to discuss lyrics. Many bands now have CC in English. Like Band-Maid. They have a huge foreign following. BTW Junna, the drummer) was also in the band Trident. Another fantastic band. There's so many fantastic bands in Japan. Many of the all female! Band-Maid, Trident, Hagane, Lovebites, Nemophila, Hanabie, Hitsujibungaku, Glim Spanky, Ado, Bump of Chicken.

Junna, Former drummer in the band Trident is well known on YT for her drum covers which she uploads on her YT channel. She is about 23-24 years old.

Both Junna and Sakura have their own personal youtube channels. Highly reccomend checking out their covers on there. Junna doing through the fire snd the flames is abaurd. Sakura doing anything is also fantastic. As far as this babd wirh all new members they have an EP with this song and 4 others i believe on youtube. Unfortunately this is the only music video, so far.

There is an incredible amountof talent coming out of Asia, especially Japan & expecially the all-female groups. You should check out the drummer's (Junna) channel. She's a beast. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Hanabie, Nemophila & East of Eden are awesome (& All-female) + some others. These bands can and will play circles around a majority of Western bands.

Ha-ga-neh, which means "steel" or "blade". They refer to their fans as "swordsmen".

Not the water, Education, music is a compulsory subject in grades 1 through 9, after that it's voluntary, if you want to keep going you can attend a music Acadamy instead of regular University where you can learn all aspects of the music industry
