Since Michael Johns was born in 1978, it's pretty odd that he was allowed to sing "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions" because those Queen songs were released on October 7, 1977.

From watching these past few episodes I gotta give it to these background singers. They’ve really been stellar in this season and I’m sure they never got enough credit during the show history

The song that Jason sang has meaning to me. Sting wrote it when Ben Linder, a hydroelectric engineer, was murdered by Contra rebels in Nicaragua. They were the soldiers funded by the US, and not part of the Sandinista revolution. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer just before this occurrence. He was a great guy. I think that Jason did the song justice.
