Hi,
Thanks for watching.
This video is aimed to inspire that dreams can come true. After a few rounds of auditions, I made it on television. I was nervous but it was a great experience.
As a natural introvert, I am slowly conquering my fears of public speaking. Thanks for watching.
During my research, I learn that drunk driving is one of the top preventable killers in the United States.

This is a BRILLIANT invention. There are plenty of people that say they won't drive drunk, until they are drunk. This is a great idea, and would definitely sell,.. People would buy it as gifts for loved ones,...

I agree with all the comments, the judges passed on a truly great invention. The problem is the customer. People who regularly drink and drive won't be buying it, and people who're smart enough to drink and NOT drink won't feel the need to buy such a thing. I do feel there IS a market for this product, albeit a rather small one.

This is exactly what the world needs. It's what I've been saying for years. Force people to take the breathalyzer each time before driving. Turn that into a starter, with some type of DNA or print recognition and it will also be cool as hell.

A few thoughts: If she has a breath-a-lizer in her car odds are its not by choice and she got a DWI/DUI. Courts order those to be installed when you get caught drunk driving and they tend to charge you thousands to have them. Your idea is very good, locking the keys up and forcing to you blow sober. I think the issue is America's current mentality that tells people it's ok to drink and drive despite the obvious proof that it's not. Good luck on getting this made, I think it will be amazing.

Yeah... "An ignition interlock device or breath alcohol ignition interlock device (IID and BIID) is a mechanism, like a breathalyzer, installed to a motor vehicle's dashboard. Before the vehicle's motor can be started, the driver first must exhale into the device, if the resultant breath-alcohol concentration analyzed result is greater than the programed blood alcohol concentration - usually 0.02 or 0.04 per cent, the motor will not turn over."

I agree with George.. There is potential behind this invention. Many car ignitions are RFID or push button based. Which means something can be used to prevent a motor starting unless a key is activated. Of course, you can enter a car by pressing unlock on key. However, device requires >0.08 BAC in breath sample to become activated. I think biometrics would need to be implemented to prevent false samples. (which I think is crucial) Many people drive buzzed in California and it sucks. :-/

This is actually a good idea, but it would have to be a standard feature of all keys to be effective (someone who habitually drinks might not care to *buy* it and install it on his or her key) it would require you blow on your key every time you start you car (which can have sanitation implications) and finally, there are times where you absolutely must have your car keys. It can't be implemented to great effect.

I think that denying people access to their cars when they are drunk is a good thing and this could have a variety of good applications especially for law inforcement dealing with people who habitually drive drunk. And Blake198... who thinks to themselves "man i would buy that, but i'm a drunk and enjoy driving drunk"

actually this can be useful, but i would suggest making a mini-safe (pocket size) where you can put your keys in or just your car-key where you have to test your BAC to unlock it. the only problem is what happens when it starts erroring

Wow, the last dude was a jerk. This is a good idea. The problem w/ having the device in your car is that a cop can still stop you for drunk driving since you are IN the car.

This actually sounds like a pretty decent invention. People convicted of drunk driving who are required to go to self-help meetings could be required to use a device like this that would prevent them from using their car keys if they're drunk after they are given their license back. It's actually a pretty good idea, and it could save some people's lives.
