In a letter first obtained by CBS News, LULAC requested that the Justice Department investigate Paxton's office for Voting Rights Act violations. The organization is accusing Paxton's office of carrying out illegal searches premised on voter fraud. "These actions echo a troubling history of voter suppression and intimidation that has long targeted both Black and Latino communities, particularly in states like Texas, where demographic changes have increasingly shifted the political landscape," LULAC CEO Juan Proaño and the group's national president, Roman Palomares, said in the letter.

hey herby. I live in the uk. I appreciate your videos and your realness a great deal. Lately I was attacked by police and subject to an experience I didn’t want to be. This occurred due to my autism; which they perceived as an afront to their authority. The response was to hurt and punish me until I changed, which obviously I can’t cause it’s just the tism. I have been really shook because I have a heart issue. Or a genetic connective tissue disorder which is also a heart issue. They left me on the floor during a heart incident. I couldn’t even speak because my heart was contracting. I thought I was going to die. I’ve been researching to try and understand the situation a bit more. When I was on the floor I kept thinking if I was black I’d be dead by now. And I kept thinking of black autistic people. And it’s true. The research shows a huge percentage of police killings happen against black autistic people. The intersection of autism and being black is a cry to be killed in the eyes of those who live and serve authority. I’d be interested if you could do a video on the topic of the intersection of disability and blackness. Specifically conditions that present with a social ambiguity like autism. You’re always real. And honestly it might be something needed for black autistic people to know to stay safe in general. It also unites those who are autistic and those who face discrimination from authority. It could serve to help show people are our interests are the same interests. Thank you for your work 🙇♀️💚 I’m white and I really nearly died. It’s clear if I wasn’t white I would be dead. This attitude and the violence is getting worse. In terms of being queer it’s getting more public and unapologetic. There’s so much hatred.

🥥 thank you for the video!! there's a lot I genuinely hate about the democratic party. However, the republican party is poised to make life miserable for all of us, and the only hope of stopping them is regrettably to vote blue. the democrats currently in control of the party are blundering stupidly around thinking that the West Wing was an actual depiction of how politics is run. but that can change with enough people working together on several fronts to oust them and to push the political climate of this country in a healthier direction. so yeah. I hate it. it feels like i'm saying that I approve of the democrats by voting for them when i'm really just trying to do damage control, and i'm otherwise active in my community. it's not any of our fault that the system rigged is rigged to make sure one of the two major parties wins or that money gets the biggest say. but I think we need to take this moment as a sign to seriously begin organizing around our local communities and for system changes. Anyone who says it's too late has given up, which is precisely want the right wants. No opposition. No serious alternative. No hope. They lie and play act to get what they want: the power to put people like us in our "places", as dictated by them.

I think it's also important to note about foreign policy.... we have an iron-clad relationship with Israel. That won't change unless something absolutely unfathonable happens. We HAVE to support them. If we didn't it would put all of our other relationships in jeopardy which would unbalance the world. Biden or Harris are NOT the blame for Palestine. That was going on before this cabinet and it will go on after unless they agree on peace. THEY have to agree to that. Biden can't MAKE them.
I think the video clip of that one pastor condemning Trump's bibles said it best: "You do not have a spiritual responsibility to vote, you have a civic privilege." The OG American protestants were vehemently against the idea of a theocracy, and they would be appalled at what the Far-Right is trying to do.

Welcome back! Thank you for this type of content. It is so important. In the UK we have finally got a centre left government, Labour, 2 weeks ago after 14 years of a formally centre right wing party, conservatives, that lurched further to the far right every passing year. The centre left are very comfortable and feel relieved and safe but we have a even more fringe far right party, Reform, that got close to half the votes of the winning party (9M for Labour and Reform got 4M). This is why I am fighting from now to the next UK election in 4-5yrs. Looking at Biden win in 2020 after Trump I thought the world was correcting itself, but look where we are now. I hope that if the Democrats win they truly working on unifying your country and reduce people’s desire to fall for/vote for these con artists. Stay safe! 🙏😊
