Marcelito Pomoy is Filipino and has an AMAZING backstory. He is self-taught -- his Dad was incarcerated when Marcelito was young and Marcelito's mom abandoned both him and his younger sibling when he was only 2. He was adopted by a police officer, but he was a virtual orphan and lived on the streets from 8 years old on and only made it through 3rd grade in school. He started singing when he was 7, but didn't realize until he was 18 that he could do both male and female voices He doesn't speak English nor Italian fluently (which makes his "The Prayer" below even more amazing!). He was the Grand Winner of the 2nd season of Philippines Got Talent. He was also recently on America‘s Got Talent The Champions and blew even more people away with his amazing talent What’s even more impressive is that he never had any voice training at all. It’s just from singing all the time to keep his spirits up. Obviously, Celine Dion is one of his heroes. There is a RU-vid video of him singing on the Ellen DeGeneres show… And she then gives him the gift of getting to meet his hero and to go see her in concert.
Marcelito Pomoy is a Filipino winner of Pilipinas Got Talent and competed in America's Got Talent. Thanks for the reactions. Love and hugs from the Philippines.❤🇵🇭
Yes he can sing both male and female voices. He is an amazing singer. He won the Phillipines Got Talent in 2011 and came in 4th in AGT. He should have won AGT.
The look on the guy with the red cap is when he realized Marcelito is singing a duet is simply CLASSIC!!! Marcelito Castro Pomoy IS THE REAL DEAL. I had the great privilege of meeting and watching him live twice in Toronto. The VIDEOS DO NOT DO HIS VOICE ANY JUSTICE. Proud to be Filipino. Cheers from Toronto. From his biggest FAN in Canada.
Marcelito was born with the ability to sing in soprano, tenor and baritone ranges. He's also singing in both English and Italian, in 2 different singing styles and doing it while sitting down. He has been on tour around the US, Canada and Europe this past year. If you really want your jaw to hit the ground, listen to him sing Con te Partiro on America's Got Talent.
Marcelito Pomoy amazes most reactors the first time they hear him. He is definitely in the elite singing bracket. He blows people out of the water. The more you react to him the more you will be in awe. By the way, he's self-taught. No formal training or lessons whatsoever. Please check out his amazing performances at AGT The Champions Edition. He blew the roof off!!
He was first on Pilipinas Got Talent in 2011 and won that one and then went on America’s got talent 2019 and got 4th place I think he should of been further up. His voice is amazing!!
Interesting video. The Prayer is a very famous song so I’m surprised that so many reviewers have never heard it. Yes he’s from the Philippines. He’s singing live on a radio station. He’s been on AGT. Listen to him sing the Beaty & the Beast on AGT. I’ve never heard someone that can do what he does with his voice. He has won the Philippines got Talent.
authentic...very common here in the Philippines.we even used to have contests on national tv called doble cara where a singer sings both parts.but marcelito is uniquely different in the sense that his voice is very distinct with each other and his range is unbelivable
Love, Love, Love your reaction guys, he's good ha? He's a PRIDE OF my Home Country, the Philippines, and the whole wide world loves him too. He's been Touring all over the World, in and out the Country. Right now he's in US TOURS, probably until December.
Amazing background story, life of poverty and living in the streets as a child. Self taught, no professional training. He's got an amazing sense of humor but remains so humble with such a love of family. It should be a movie!
Kathy here - he is amazing and speaks 7 languages. He is from the Philippines. So yes, he is not singing in his native lounge, singing in English then switches to Italian when singing the male part. He is a Phenom in his own rights. And check out his American Idol performances. And he has done Whitney Houston! Amazing!!
I saw him live in concert. He’s authentic. We went backstage and he was awesome- he is very humble. We took photos with him. He’s a millionaire now and more!!
Marcelito is great and incredible nothing impossible to him when it comes to singing please do react him singing I SURRENDER ,NEVER ENOUGH, YOU RAISE ME UP, PERFECT AND FLOWERS BY MILEY CYRUS YES HE IS FROM THE PHILIPPINES HE IS OUR PRIDE THANKS A LOT FOR HAVING HIM IN YOUR CHANNEL
He does Whitney, MJ, Shania. He sings in several languages none of which he speaks. HE IS SIMPLY THE GOAT. Oh yes he raps and beat boxes too (I think that's how you say it).
HAHAHA....I think almost everyone has the same reaction when they hear Marcelito for the first time. He is doing (So far) just one concert in America in June of 2023 in California. He does NOT have a split personality (it amazes me how many people think that) the reason he did that was because the radio station manager told him to spit out Celine.....it was a joke. Marcelito is currently 39 years old and is actully a lovely man married to a lovely woman. He and Joan were married in 2014 and have one daughter. Marcelito's mother abandond him and his sibling at the age of 7 and his father was incarcerated. He lived on the streets for several years before a police officer adopted him. He is entirely self taught while singing to chickens (one of his odd jobs). He has no formal voice training. He won Pilipinas Got Talent, and later was one of the three finalists on America's Got Talent. He is one of the very rare talents in this world that has become very loved by many Americans and has brought real joy in a world of misery........IF I am lucky enough to ever get to hear him in person, I will drive as far as I need to in order to attend his concert.....oh by the way he does an AMAZING Bohemian Rapsody by Queen!!! Also, slammed an audience with doing Michael Jackson's Billie Jean WITH the dancing!!! He truly is a very rare talent with a very humble attitude!!! This was a fun reaction!
😊Hello black Pegasus,he is apopular Filipinos singer and he can sing different languages ..right now he has a concert world tour in USA....infact his been in europe,Australia,Canada, North America down Middle East, even n Africa as well....
Ahm, go to Philippines, there's a contest called DOUBLE KARAOKE.. you sing both part.. Filipinos are trained for this ahaha.. Watch he's beauty and the beast
Black Pegasus, Marcelito takes this song to yet another level in the release of his album, "Duet Yourself". Since it is a tracked recording, he includes all of the harmonies where Bocelli and Dion sing together in harmony. It is quite beautiful with Marcelito singing the lead (Bocelli) in tenor/baritone and the alto harmony (Dion) in countertenor. This song also includes a marvelous background orchestra. Here is the link to the audio: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ULwa6eLtufY.html Here is a partial list of other covers by Marcelito: Celine Dion's "The Power of Love" (His best female imitation in my opinion) Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You", "I Have Nothing", "One Moment in Time" Loren Allread's "Never Enough" Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson's "Beauty and the Beast" Kenny Loggins "Forever" Mariah Carey's "Hero" and "Oh Holy Night" Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" Beyonce's "Listen" Steelheart's "She's Gone" Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" Miley Cyrus' "When I Look At You" Luther Vandross "Dance With My Father" Diana Ross/Lionel Richie's "Endless Love" Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli's "Time To Say Goodbye" (He sings in Italian) Teresa Teng "The Moon Represents My Heart" (He sings in Chinese) IL Divo/ Celine Dion's "I Believe In You" (He sings in French and imitates 4 different voices) Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" (He sings in Spanish) Finally, Marcelito sings numerous Filipino songs in his native language, Tagalog.
Marcelito Pomoy had a rough childhood, living in the streets. He is self=taught, not professionally trained. At the time this was recordied- live and sitting down - he knew neither English nor Italian. In his native Philippines, there is a tradition of men singing in two voices, so this would not be as surprising there. But his skill and voice must be spectacular even there.
Hi, guys just subbed,to you're wonderful channel. Youle probably get more amaze if you learned that his singing while the bus is on the go. by the way the radio station his singin in is in a bus.good luck guys.
Must check him out in America’s Got Talent singing Time To Say Goodbye and other songs, you will be amazed! He is from the Philippines. He is well taught, when his father was incarcerated he lived on the streets in the Philippines because his mother abandoned him at 7 yrs old he had odd jobs for food, he took care of chickens and when he is scared at night he will sing to the chickens.🔥👏✌️🙏🇵🇭🇺🇸
