When I lived in NC I remember my girlfriend asking me to go get her purse so I went into her bag to give her what I thought was the purse she asked for not realizing the entire bag is the purse.

Getting a bit pissed off, by Yanks telling us how to speak the Language which developed from Anglo-Saxon and Viking. In Britain 🇬🇧.

Couldn't agree more. What I find completely annoying is Americans calling it British English. They speak American English, but we in the UK just speak English. There is no such thing as British English, wish they would realise this. They don't say European German, European Spanish or European French. So they should not say British English at all, it is arrogant and ignorant, in UK we speak English, clue is in the name were it came from (England) !

It's not American it's the dictionary.... I'm french and when I watch in the dictionary they have to make the difference between American end British because for people who learn English is complicated to make the difference. I learn English in USA and American movies so I don't know a lot of English words you use in England.... And in England for a french word you have 2 one from latin and one from German. So got us who English is not our language it's a lot of different words from England and USA. It's the same for us when Canadians tell us they speak french I'm sorry it's not french I don't understand them.... And they don't understand a lot of french words it's so different and their accent is so hard to understand for french people.... Usually I ask them to speak English it's more easy for me to understand them. So now British and American are different. It's like Canadians who say they speak french it's not french it's Canadian french. The same in Africa french don't understand them me I grew up there so I understand as french but when my grandparents came in Africa they ask me to translate and it was funny because for me it's french and Africans laughed asking why they ask to translate because they speak in french but it's a different accent. So they all use the word french but it's different french but we just say french. English is the international language so we all learn English (french Spanish etc....) So we need to learn the vocabulary and know if it's British or American. Most of movies are American so we know American words more than British.... At school in France we learn English in fact we say English and it's British English.... But in the dictionary they have to make the difference.... So it's the dictionary which makes the difference and say British English and American English.... But for french or Spanish we just say English and don't really know that there is a lot of different words because at school we learn English and at the English language school it's British. So it's in the dictionary that they begin to make the difference and not the Americans....

I'm french so it's complicated for us between British and American vocabulary. I learn English with a school and I learn English with American movies and go often to USA so it's easy for me to understand Americans and our teachers are British and they find it funny that I use American word and discover that British and American use too much different words.... So not easy for us. I spent two months in Dublin and they didn't understand a lot of americans words so funny because France is closer so they don't understand. I learn that English people use a lot of words that we use in french. In USA you say movies and I discovered than british say film as french.... In USA you day downtown in Dublin it's city centre.... The liquor shop ate called off license and in France we don't have that we buy alcohol in normal shop. I wanted a sandwich and they ask if I wanted baguette or soft bread funny because baguette is french word for bread.... So we can understand British word because some of them are the same as french but it's hard when you learn English you wych in the dictionary and you have the word in British and American so its a lot of words to learn for us....

Just subscribed, looking forward to the next reaction. Please can you react to Dave Allen , Airplanes. It is on the channel Simon Tilley, has over 3 million views. Dave Allen was a UK legend. I promise you will never look at flying in the same way again. He takes the situation and the way people speak and points out the ridiculousness of it. He is brilliant, you will love it. 🇬🇧😁
