Fun fact: I'm friends with Winston's (Paul Riley's) nephew and we went to his house for my friends 12th birthday party (long time ago now) and Paul actually did have a big projector on the wall but it was much more HD and high tech 😂 he's just as funny in real life too its nearly like he's unscripted

i grew up in a nice community before it turned to shite. we had a youth group when i was younger and it was one of the best things i ever been in surrounded by the neighborhood we would go to baseball games and hangouts it was the best. so i love community spirit.

I grew up and went to school in the area where this is filmed and even drank in the Clansman, its real name was the Gimlet. The whole area has now been demolished and rebuilt but no pub now.

Good episode My favorite scenes from the episode are the scenes in Winston's house watching tower inferno on the home big screen and it catches fire. I don't know just some of those scenes have great humour and dialogue. Especially the scene in the kitchen between Winston and Archie because it seemed like Winston was the only to truly respect Archie and be nice to him without talking him into doing something he doesn't want to do ala come out.

Good morning Kid - 6.20am and I'm just catching-up with the channel. This episode has cheered me right-up. Winston's actions with the bottle of malt, I've always identified this as a very Glasgow thing to do, I've seen similar, so many times. If ' messages' have been explained then excuse me. When they mention '' the social work dept getting Archie his messages '' that translates as '' getting him groceries ''

1966 England won the soccer world cup beating Germany 4 2. Winston as a Scotsman wanted England to loose hence the unopened bottle of malt whisky.

just to clarify beginning at 9:43....... England won the world cup in 1966 ...... the Scots, who were supporting us 100%, all the way, were so happy, they celebrated by re-arranging their furniture, electrical goods and most of their kitchen equipment. i am from new york lad. i used the patter in my streams on twitch and when i talk to my friends all the time. one of my best friends is from the uk so i use it on him a lot he loves it so much and gets a trip when im raging on games lol.

Glad you enjoyed this episode. Still Game just keeps giving more and more. They are absolutely brilliant. You will find Series 1 to 7 are consistently excellent. But BBC recorded Series 8 and 9 in HD and it was a total disaster. The pace and the script was all wrong as well and unfortunately, it just was no longer funny. But hey ho theres so many great old episodes to watch over and over again.

Aye, was the worst possible thing they done with that HD recording. I can't imagine that Ford and Greg had input into it. Would have been a wanky BBC corporate shitebag decision.
