I once left my wallet on the roof of my car at a shopping centre. I got home and realised what I'd done and was getting ready to retrace my steps to try and find my wallet. As I was about to leave, a gentleman came into the property asking for me. He'd found my wallet on the road and checked the license, then drove 5km to my place to return it. Bloody legend.

@@IWrocker i do a lot of work in the Sydney cbd and one day i jumped out the work van to pay for parking and found a credit card on the ground next to the parking meter. So i pick it up and walked back to my car and sat it down on my passenger seat. I started organizing everything i needed for my next job when i see this guy quickly walk up to his car and frantically start searching in and around his car . Quite distressed he starts combing the gutters back to the parking meter. He knows hes lost his card at this point and starts frantically trying to work out who to call. I grab the card and walk over to him, and say "hey mate you lost something"? He's like "F ive lost my credit card F..." I pull out the card and read out his name. His jaw dropped, he's like no Fn way dude are you serious? WTF! why wouldn't you just. I stoped him and replied, "treat others how you wish to be treated mate", as he's giving me the biggest bro hug! He opens his wallet and pulls out 20 bucks. Im like na na mate, he says "no man no, you are going to buy yourself a 6 pack of beers its the least I can do". I was like "na its ok", but he insisted so i agreed. I definitely made his day.

Queensland is the Sunshine State. Our catchphrase is Beautiful one day, perfect the next. That car that broke down is Coronation Drive in Brisbane. It runs beside the Brisbane River and if he continued in front of him is the Brisbane CBD. It is an extremely busy road. And yes that was an ambulance and we call the ambulance drivers and medics ....ambos. We shorten everything. Agree... that’s not superficial sentiment. Aussies generally love to be able to ‘provide a chop out’ when the need arises. I think that applies to humans in general when they aren’t ensnared in the primitive, reptilian brain and preoccupied with staving off existential dread. Once you realise that ‘fear is an illusion’, love is indeed what makes the world go around... going out of your way to be spontaneous and helpful, doesn’t represent an imposte on your schedule, it’s a chance give creation a big affectionate hug. Why would you not? (Other than the reason highlighted)

@@IWrocker I happened to be driving behind a Ford Falcon of the same model one day. The road (near my house) takes a sharp left 90 degree bend and the curb on the inside corner sticks out further than it should. Well the car in front just clipped the curb while rounding the corner. It hit the sidewall of the left rear tyre and dislodged the bead, and deflated straight away. When the car pulled over I stopped behind them and got out to see if I could help. It was a mum with 3 young kids in the back. I said I'd change it for her, just stay in the car and keep the engine running so they still had air conditioning (mid day sun and 38*C [100.4*F]). For some reason the spare tyre had been taken out of her car, something she wasn't aware of. Well with my Falcon being of the same model, it shared the same stud pattern as hers, so I put my spare onto her car. We exchanged names, address and contact details and I wished her well. I wasn't sure I was going to see my spare again or not, but the next day she called me up and said she'd had her tyre replaced and I could pick up my spare from her house. When I got there she had my spare tyre and a carton of beer (the [un]official Australian unit of currency) already chilled. This isnt a stand out situation, this is everyday stuff. Someone needs help, you try and help them out.

Last summer, I spotted an elderly couple broken down. Radiator was overheating, I stopped to see their radiator was empty. I grabbed the 2 x 2 litre soft drink bottles of water from my "boot" to refill their radiator. I met them again at the servo & the old bloke offered me $50.00. I declined as I said the bottles were free & so was the water. He refilled the bottles & went on his way. Aussies will help anyone out - with just a "thanks, mate" as the only payment.

Bill, it's our heritage our tradition and time we all realised it and embrace it as our tradition, we often forget that we do have one! Banished here under the harshest of conditions, to hard labour and servitude, lashings and the cruelest of treatment. At the end of out term released with nothing but the clothes on our backs and always looking over our shoulder at the establishment (the British) and the original people who saw us as invaders. The only way to survive was to "count on a mate" for help and support, that irreverance for authority and "give a bloke a go" and "fair crack of the whip" and our always being there for and supporting the underdog "need a hand Mate" it is in our DNA and why we are who we are. So when others put on their national dress and embrace their long held traditions and customs, we live ours every day! So very proud to be Australian 💕🇦🇺

One thing I can positively guarantee you, mate. Australians are one of the nicest people in the world. I came to Australia in the late 80s as a teen and was the only Asian in my school, not once did I ever felt an outsider. In my very first day during lunch time sitting all alone a couple of students came up to me and offered me an apple and an orange then asked me if I wanted to join them in a game of basketball. I couldn't refuse since I love the game, that, and they were twice my size 😛😁. Those two big Aussie blokes became my best friends till these days. Also, one thing I love about the Australian people are their brutal honesty, humour, and non-pc attitude. 🙂

Interesting fact about motorcycle riding in New South Wales. When you get your licence to ride a bike in NSW, you have to do a course first. The first thing you have to be able to do is pick your bike up off the ground by yourself. If you can’t do it, they fail you and send you home right then and there. When I did my course it happened to a kid in my group, he tried to pick up the bike (a little Honda 250cc) for what felt like a really long time but just couldn’t get the thing upright. The instructor gave him so much time but the poor kid just couldn’t do it.

We don't have Dashcam but My Sister and I live about a 15 minute drive from Atherton. Where The Atherton Tablelands, Far North Queensland (it's up a Mountain Range behind Cairns) gets it name from. While still a Country Town it's pretty busy, everyone does their shopping there. If the Flow Of Traffic isn't to heavy My Sister will stop the car for Pedestrians Trying To Cross The Road. So they don't have to stand around in The Sun or Rain too long. It also a Popular Tourist Destination you get practically everything except The Great Barrier Reef that you'll find on Coast. With Cooler Temperatures, many Tourists visit both. Every year plenty of visitors decide they like the area so much they'll move here. In general we're pretty considerate. Except when someone is driving Too Far under the speed limit, even then We generally won't Yell About it. We'll usually say "Hello!", stop to talk to people or Help Others. At Supermarkets it's common for a customer at a checkout to put a divider in place for next customer. I'm 5'9 with a long reach and was raised to be A Lady. With Simple Elegance as well as being Good to others. I routinely hold doors open for people. If someone does that for Me, I make a point of Thanking Them. In Shops and Supermarkets I regularly help people who can't reach items they want. Sometimes if I see that items on higher shelves are too far back I'll pull them closer for other customers.

One morning I was driving to college in an old Ford Telstar, stuck in peak hour traffic (middle lane, 3 lanes), Gympie rd, Brisbane. Suddenly a huge huntsman spider (large as the span of your hand) crawls accross the windscreen and onto my open drivers side window, onto the top of my seatbelt bracket and thankfully back out the window.....I almost had a accident, panic attack, freaked out completely and to make matters worse, I had to use a set of pliers to wind the window back up as the handle had fallen off....I have arachnophobia ..... scary stuff 😅

The Burger King trademark name was already taken in Australia. So they called it Hungry Jacks. Hungry Jacks tried to purchase the Burger King trademark, but failed. In the late 90s the Burger King trademark expired in Australia. In 2001 Hungry Jacks finally got their Burger King trademark in Australia, but after years attempting to acquire the Burger King name. The fast food company made a surprise decision. They ended up keeping the Hungry Jacks name in Australia because it was already well established. But now they own the Burger King trademark so nobody else could take it.

17:07 Drakes Supermarkets, Caltex Woolworths, Target and Nissan Drakes used to be Drakes IGA but they split off to start their own Woolworths-like chain. But that one used to be a Woolworths as Woolworths moved up the road to a new shopping centre they built. Speaking of phasing out, Woolworths sold Caltex Woolworths to Euro Garages and Caltex Australia was fired by Chevron who re-entered the market by buying Puma Energy Australia, so now they are phasing out the Caltexs in favour of AMPOLs (their co-predecessor) and probably EGs.

Then again that is the first time I've seen someone catch a flying sheep. I'm guessing he is a sheep farmer. But he would have been a great fullback or keeper. Wicket keeper or Goalkeeper.

Another great video, and yes for the better part, Australians will go out of their way to help another. Which as you have said is Great to see in these times. So yes the Sunshine State is Queensland. Coles is a Major Supermarket here in Australia, We all so have Woolworths, Independent Grocers of Australia (IGA) and Aldi, of and Private Grocers as well You are also correct about that being a Holden Dealership, and yes they are becoming Less and less, as the Parent Company in the US said it was too expensive to continue manufacturing the with us being Right-hand Drive. Our Holden Dealership saw the light and is now our Ford Dealership (Plus many more). I also wanted to say I was watching one of the last Mail unboxing, and saw that you got some stuff from Bunnings. These guys are really only new to Australia (possibly last 10 years, maybe longer in the Capital cities) But we also have Mitre 10, Which has been around for a very longtime, I am sure there are others but not out in our Rural Areas, that I have seen. Anyway I hope and Pray that you and your Family are all doing well. I think it really adds that extra personal touch and shows that the whole family are involved and agree whole Heartedly with you and your new experiences with Australia. Keep up the Great Content. 2:35 that dudes a real legend, if it was me, most i could do is go behind, get out of my car and run to the truck and get in to stop it. He literaly let his ute get real ended, depends on what car u own but if i got real ended, it would probably cost around 10-15k in repairs. 4:10, i live pretty close to that location and that first car probably went to fast and stopped in the middle on the red light so they couldnt go further because that would be running a red light. There was once when there was a huge spider on my car window and just in time i closed the window or it would have crawled in and bit me. Ive seen spiders many times in home even though my house is pretty clean and tidy. 16:14 is the same intersection on 4:10. the sheep takdown was awesome! 17:40, u are correct, that is a coles, holden dearlerships are still open but the company is not making anymore new vehicles. they just service and sell used vehicles. 20:51 the dude who got the ballon is a cop, most likely nsw police

A spider on the roof isn’t too bad, it’s when spidey is hiding on top of your sun visor and decides to drop in your lap when you put the visor down that the trouble starts. It’s not uncommon for huntsman spiders to crawl into your car and hide there, particularly if you’ve parked under a tree.

the clip around 13:33 what they did was push-start the bike, its what you do if you have a flat battery, busted ignition or cant kick-start. its easier to do down hill because you roll the bike while its in 1st or 2nd gear with your hand on the clutch and when you pick up enough momentum you let go of the clutch and this cranks your bike over to start it

This isn’t in a car or anything but when my now teenage kids were small I went grocery shopping with my 6yr old 3yr old and newborn baby. I always had them hold the trolley tight when we were out in the parking lot. But this particular time my baby woke up and started crying at the checkout. And 2 nice firefighters helped unload my trolley at the checkout and then into the trolley and even helped me load them into the boot of my car! I’ve had some rude people being pregnant and having a small baby but this really made me smile. That’s what being an Aussie is all about. Helping people. Being a mate.
