Welcome Back Poopies! 💩 It’s been too long since I’ve done a reaction to John Farnham so I decided to look up some more live performances and came across this one. Hope you enjoy! Sorry for all the pausing, I’m hoping more pauses will decrease chances of copyright. Lol.

If John ever returns to the stage to sing again it will be the biggest event n Australian music history.

Omg I BET! I’d be ecstatic to see that if it ever happens. But if he never does it’s ok because he had a long amazing career and deserves to be home doing what he wants 😊

Loved watching this. Thankyou ❤ This was John and Olivia's last performance both were over 70. Mitch Tambo was the other singer who sang in one of the many aboriginal languages. They all sounded incredible ❤

Brian May and Queen approached John to replace Freddie Mercury when he passed away. John wanted to stay in Australia and didn’t take that on. Obviously they have remained friends.

Mitch tambo. Of aboriginal descent. Sings in native language. Came to prominence in Australia's got talent. Was runner up? I've been following Farnsey for only about a year, and through using Google for info I've also come across many other bands and singers. Plus I've learned about the astonishing musical pedigrees of all of John's backing singers and band members. A case of "only the best for the best". If you find you like Aussie music - try Icehouse, and their Great Southern Land. There is a whole treasure trove of amazing aussie musical talent which never attracted global recognition. Feb. '24. UK. E ❤

The fire fighter are all volunteers There mostly from the country towns Anyone can be a volunteers Most business allow them time off work to go fight fires As they don't get payed to fight the fires Its why its a tragedy if they get hurt or killed as local people from farms and towns Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍

Yes it was before covid. Mitch Tambo is the aboriginal singer with the red feather. John's voice was crystal clear and has for 5 decades. He is the voice, and we Australian s just want the world to know what they missed out on. Thanks Tonia, nice work.

Thank you. I wish I would’ve heard of him growing up. He’s exactly the kind of singer I would’ve listened to as a kid. But I’m glad I got introduced to him now 🥰

@@ToniaElkins you can hear and watch John from his early years by using youtube. From his first big hit, Sadie the Cleaning Lady when he was around 18, so late 60s (he was born in 1949, Dagenham, Essex, England - he was 10 when his family emigrated to Australia - - - their gain, our loss!). He was still belting it out in February 2020. And then covid19 shut the world down. I only fully discovered Farnsey last year, yet even now I come across a youtube posting that I haven't seen before. He puts a huge smile on my face, always - even if it's a serious message song. And I love his version of AC/DCs Long Way to the Top, and The Beatle's Help - never cared for them., always thought of them as akin to a group of mediaeval travelling troubadours, but now I sing along to John's very different version. And there's a sound check recording of Led Zeppelin 's Black Dog!!!! There are also documentaries and interviews. John has huge stage presence, quite the comedian at times , loves his backing singers and band members, and absolutely loves his fans, thousands of them fill his concert venues and join in the singing - must be the biggest choir in music history. You'll discover he's a genuine down to earth guy, no ego, and also gives charity concerts to support farmers, firefighters,...... And they raise a lot of money. He's my number one favourite singer of all time, and he's making this 80 yr old feel like a teenager again.! Feb. '24. UK. E ♥️

Rock songs- The time has come Or All our Sons and Daughters Slower - We're no Angels - Burn for You - Touch of Paradise All except We're No Angels can be seen from his Chain Reaction Concert We're no Angels from Classic Jack Live concert Any song John sings though is worth seeing but best to see live performances 😊

His name is Mitch Tambo he is singing in one of the 700 Aboriginal dialects and languages, The instrument at the beginning and in the background is a Didgeridoo, This was John before he went into hospital for major surgery. Those fires were crazy and showed why you can't cram too many people into these spots. Several firefighters were killed after becoming trapped in their truck and others were hit by falling and exploding GUM trees that go off like bombs. The East coast from Queensland all down New South Wales into Victoria was affected. it was basically a 2000-mile front.

Damn that is such a huge area! My heart goes out to everyone affected. ❤️🫂 I also wanted to say I remember watching coverage as it was happening of all the animals trying to escape (cuz I’m a huge animal lover) and watching just that broadcast tore me up! 💔 I couldn’t handle it. I can’t imagine going through that. The fear and devastation of it all. It’s terrible.

Oh my, thank you all for the info describing the devastation of those events. It's difficult to take in the enormity when watching tv news. Farnsey has done a lot to raise money to help combat the effects of these disasters - he's pure gold. And my top fave singer of all time. There isn't one song I don't love. Feb. '24. UK. E ♥️

I remember, watching the concert on TV. thanks for showing. Unfortunately a lot of country towns got hit with a double whammy.Bushfires and then Covid-19 came along. A lot of businesses never recovered.😢 I always donate to the RFS,( Rural Fire Service). The majority of the firefighters are all volunteers.💪. Yes you are correct. The instrument played is didgeridoo.

The Australian bush has evolved to recover quickly from fire, though it does take longer to recover from such intensely hot fires that we had in 2019. The weather flipped so quickly we were still getting some rather intense fires starting end of January 2020 less than a month later they were all out and places were having to deal with minor and flash flooding, it was like the El Nino/La Nina switch flipped overnight.
