This was Jann's first television performance. He wrote and composed the song himself. The song "Gladiator" talks about the toxicity of showbiz and condemns corruption. The irony is that something like this happened during the selection of the Polish representative for Eurovision. People in Poland think that the sound of the TV performance is worse than recordings from the phone in the studio. This is reason to think that TVP manipulated the sound to make the performances worse or the sound man accidentally broke it. Poland chose Jann as our representative. Blanka won unfairly. She was favored and had deals with the members of the jury and the TVP TV station. The jury was not objective. The public in Poland loved Jann and he received three times more votes than Blanka. TVP is hiding the detailed voting results from us, the voting rules have been changed 4 days before the competition. In the article at 15:33 it said that Blanka won and Jann was in second place, the competition started at 17:30. The rules for selecting a candidate for Eurovision have been broken in several points. This competition was a rigged! The Eurovision media announced an official appeal to TVP. The media in Poland and famous people talk about this scandal and comment on the situation . Over 75,000 signatures have been submitted to a petition to change our representation to Jann. The TV station spit in our face. They are still silent! They don't want to explain it to us! We are fighting for them to speak out on this matter. The song "Solo" is a plagiarism of INNA - Up. We don't want to be represented by a scam! The jury and television do not listen to people. We are still trying to fight this case because Blanka is not our true representative. Poland chose Jann! They block our comments and want to silence us. We don't want to hate Blanka, we write her constructive criticism. She liked a comment yesterday that supported her. Unfortunately, this comment said that Jann is a social fringe and people like him should not be in this competition because he exposed his belly. This comment also offended Krystian Ochman. Hypocrisy. We prefer Poland to be disqualified than Blanka to perform. We want all of Europe and other countries to know that the choice of our representative did not belong to people. Had a similar case in Sweden in Melodifestivalen back in 2013, Yohio won the votes from swedish people, but the international judges tipped the scale to Robin Stjernberg (wich was a wat worse candidate)
and of course his song was once again proved the raw truth, when Loreen "won" the Eurovision on Saturday. The people obviously wanted Kaarija to win and voted for him, giving him way more points than her. But of course the jury had other plans. I also trully believe that Jann's song could easily be loved by both people and the juries and he would be a huge threat to Loreen, because imo his voice is way more powerful and beautiful than hers and his young age makes it even more impressive. However, I know for fact that both Kaarija and Jann will be embraced by the people and it doesn't really matter if they were both second. At least this injustice made them known to people all around europe and that's all that matters for an artist. People to know and love them.
@@cristigorillaz Biggest diffrence being that when the Jury gave Loreen poiints, the televotes were not yet counted, so they could not know how it would go, meanwhile in Poland the Jury choice trumped Televotes straight up.
The problem was that my Poles did not choose Blanka. It was chosen by a television station that is subordinate to the government. It was corruption. Hence the indignation. In the viewers' vote, Jann won. Corruption spat upon us.

Well, if they're homophobic, they'd have no problem with supporting the straighest boy bop ever, he's 100% straight and and his key audience are people, especially women who find him hot. He's not part of the LGTBQIA community, so why do you even mention that? There's not even evidence of him being an ally, so why do you point out that this jury is homophobic and what has this even got to do with the whole situation? Maybe because gay men were attracted by this performance as well? Or could be.

Yep, mic was definitely too loud.. kinda the opposite of what we in Germany had to go through. For some of our artists it seemed like the music was too loud.
@@in_wino_veritas they were not though? He’s doing some pretty hard stuff WHILE MOVING!!! and his voice only messes up a bit, he literally SPINS while laying down, its impressive. Both him and Blanka had some issues in their live performances, that was partially because of technical issues and considering Blanka had more time than him to prepare and she still performed badly with simple vocals? Her song is catchy but its nothing special when you compare it to Jann’s crazy vocals at the end of the song, the high pitch is CRAZY

It’s not rapping or opera singing … his got such an amazing control of his voice ! Even when his moving, acting, playing with his voice it’s just so good! You cannot even compare this to Blanca song. Blanca can’t sing can’t dance. It wasn’t our choice but because of the corruption she was representing our country 😢
People now hype this one because there happened Wrong things in the selection. But without all drama, this song wasn't it. The performance was messy and his vocals were straight up bad
Finally someone telling the truth about it, the song was a generic bop written for Eurovision, that we've heard so many times before at MGP and Melfest, especially adding a mystical or ancient figure, actually even without any relation to the actual song, he just added it to make it sound more like a MGP reject. And plagiarism, like mentioned in the video here, one specific Marilyn Manson song and other songs as well. And the song isn't the worst part, but the staging was messy and too vulgar, if a woman made just half of what he's doing, then she'd be called a slur for sex worker. And not coherent, maybe the misplaced lingerie wearing ladies from Romania could have joined him. But the worst thing are his vocals, many people are complaining about Blanka's vocals and rightfully so, but this dude actually can't sing. He was even worse than her, sorry. Maybe Poland initially wanted to send this, then they found out, he can't sing, sending Gladiator with another singer wasn't possible anymore, because he already released it himself, so out of a sudden, they set up a national final.
@@Officiallouisthemouse Blanka sings better than him, your comment is only 3 weeks old as I'm writing this, so you gotta know, she improved (plus she didn't dance as much, do she didn't make as many mistakes). And quite frankly, she was better in the NF as well. In my opinion, she only sounded bad while dancing, while Jann's vocals were also bad when he wasn't even dancing and was just standing there or walking.
