Chris Tarrant: Radio Disc Jockey, Presenter including the UK 'Who wants to be a Millionaire'. Michael Portillo was in Conservative PM John Major's Cabinet (committee - run the government) early 90's, later presents TV travel documentaries about Railways for the BBC. Chris Eubank - former boxer. Frank Bruno - former boxer Sir Terry Wogan - BBC DJ, presenter, interviewer. John Peel: BBC Radio 1 (pop music) DJ. Eamonn Holmes: Morning TV presenter.

It would definitely be worth your while looking up the ones you didn't recognise. A lot of British impressionists tend to do more impressions of people known in British culture, particularly politicians such as Michael Portillo, former radio DJ and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host Chris Tarrant, and TV legend Terry Wogan (rhymes with Hogan as in wrestler Hulk). As others have said, Brits know Ozzy from his days in Black Sabbath, and the bat incident was only the one time and a complete accident. Jon Culshaw's defining moment was on a radio breakfast show back in the late 1990s, in a segment where the host would prank someone - usually a member of the public - by having Jon call them and impersonate either a public figure or a stereotypical accent. The most memorable one was where he had Jon call then-Prime Minister Tony Blair, impersonating then-Opposition leader William Hague, which Blair took in his stride and later joked about in Parliament!

The Ozzy / Bat incident; it happened once at a gig and he honestly thought it was a rubber bat. It was only when he bit its head off that he realised it was a real (albeit dead) bat. ETA: shout out to your friend.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and the Squirrel fam - this was great, I still remember the older impressionists that were on TV, like Mike Yarwood, Janet Brown and Joe Longthorne - all sadly gone now..! Of the later ones, Alistair McGowan, Rory Bremner and Ronni Ancona are also very good..!

I still smile 😁when I remember watching Jon Culshaw on TV for the first time dressed up as the Roman, Maximus Decimus Meridius from the movie Gladiator, and he was standing in the ancient Roman ruins in the city of Bath having builders arrive to give him quotes on rebuilding it. Bloody hilarious.

Terry Wogan, who John does brilliantly, was the best loved DJ the BBC ever had, & you'd cement your own legendary status if you checked out Terry's 'Janet & John' stories, from his Radio2 breakfast show, which ran for years & years! Janet & John were two child character from kids books of the fifties/sixties, but Terry's Janet & John tales were based very very loosely on the antics of his colleague John Marsh, & his wife Janet. They often had to give a warning before Terry started reading that day's story, for fear of listening drivers having, or causing accidents on the roads, due to fits of the giggles, while Terry was reading!!🤣🤣🤣 Fortunately, context isn't likely to be a problem, as they were entirely fictional tales, albeit about two real people-ish!! Be warned though, there may be a number of double-entendres, & even some triple-entendres!! 🤣

I think the ones you didn't know were probably so different to the others with a very specific vocal trait (some impressionists just modify a voice to get another) you got a good idea of Jon's range and talent.
