If you do Jolly Boys Outing the last episode of series 5,'Dates', is a must watch first. And it doesn't really need to be watched at Christmas as it was a feature length episode for broadcast at Christmas rather than a 'Christmas' special.

Jolly Boys Outing though aired at Christmas (and one of the best episodes of the series for that matter) actually appears to be set during the summer, if you were looking for a great feature length and more Christmas themed episode I would suggest 1993’s Fatal Extraction.

Just lose the doctored passport and go to the British Consulate in Mallorca. There you could get a new one issued. which would have Rodney's correct birth-date. Mega-Kellogs might want payment for the hotel, but you'd have a million potatoes.

Only Fools was so good around this time. Jolly boys outing is a fantastic episode...it's not centered around christmas, just happened to be aired at christmas. If you wanted to do a christmassy only fools I would recommend the episode 'Christmas Crackers'

Hi Noah, thank you for reacting to this! So funny and great reaction as usual, glad you like this show as Fools and Horses is one of our best comedies in my opinion. Hopefully in the future you will react to the episode Yuppy Love because the scene where Del Boy falls through the bar is so funny and I think you would think so too! Love and hugs X

If your going to do the Jolly Boys Outing, three things you need to know first. The episode is eighty-five minutes long as it was a Christmas special (but didn't take place during Christmas). Rodney and Cassandra are married by that episode. Also, Raquel who appeared in Heroes and Villains makes her return debut. She appeared first as a one-off character in the episode "Dates" but left at the end.

Although the other episode it is a Christmas Special? It doesn't have much or little to do Christmas to be honest. Because they like go on holiday/vacation to like a seaside resort.

Loved this episode, and love jolly boys it was shown at Christmas but is more a summer episode, still would love you to see a summer episode, I know I keep harking on but touch of glass is a classic, and quite an important one in the shows history, but can’t wait for jolly boys next month

Yey been waiting for more ofah. Oh also you don't need to wait for christmas to do the Christmas specials as a lot of shows in the uk don't always have a Christmas theme. The jolly boys outing seems to be set in the late summer. :) .but please do more i love it.

The knee pads . So close but yet so far. Many fond memories of this on the bbc. For another David Jason programme there is "A touch of frost" or "open all hours" featuring the late great Ronnie barker. Also for a show featuring the actor who plays rodny whos name escapes me there was "good night sweetheart " both great shows. Fucking brilliant. Great start to the day Noah thanks for sharing

The woman who works in the hotel (Gina Bellman) went on to star in Coupling and Jekyll (a modern day Jekyll & Hyde). Both by Stephen Moffatt (one of the writers of Doctor Who) and both worth a watch. I would certainly add Coupling to your list of Britcoms to try x

Jolly boys is up there as one of the best, you should also do the Trilogy with Roy Slater in, played by Oscar Winner Jim Broadbent May the Force be with You S3 Ep 5 To Hull and Back - xmas special 85 Class of 62 S7 ep4

You obviously really enjoy our OFAH. You should get a boxset not necessarily to react to, just to enjoy more of the same. BTW although Jolly Boys Outing was a Christmas special, it wasn't set at Christmas

Jolly boys outing is a good one but not really a Christmas related special. Maybe the episode Christmas Crackers might be better for a December video. But schedule Jolly boys outing before then because it is a really good one!

Love you for reacting to these. BTW, who told you about the plot of this one? The big reveal of what Rodney has to do is the best part of this episode. Honestly don't know why people have to spoil it like that.

Couple people mentioned it when they suggested it. Some people even suggested it as "do the one where Rodney pretends he's 15". It's all good though I still enjoyed it regardless.

@@taffe316 Fair enough, it just irratates me when people do that. Loved the reaction. I'm impressed you can follow the accents and slang, most Americans can't get any of it. In fact most people who aren't from the UK. Nice belch at the end there... 9.5/10, would recommend. 😁
