Me too ,I' m more familiar with their two voices & Joe,David Earle & Karl than I am with half of my family...British sardonic surrealism at its best! Lol
As I'm falling asleep to the xfm shows and I'm half asleep I try joining in the conversation without properly knowing it thinking I'm speaking to mates and then snap out of it haha.
JacksInn It’s like a realistic superpower film. I think the contrast between the extremes of the superpower and the male desire to see women naked, and the female desire to be seen naked by extraordinary men, will be so stark and rally bring out what it is to be human, really. No utopian view of saving the world but merely serving his petty animalistic desires which are born from the desire to procreate. Which is actually saving the world from a human perspective. If human inhabitants were wiped out, what happens to the world? With no self conscious intelligence life, does the world have any meaning. And men getting so excited about stealing a glance at a beautiful women naked shows the depth of this need to procreate. Genius really.
Bobby Clevo I think his film has the potential for Star Trek levels of greatness. It’s so real and integral to the male experience. Also females who are very attractive are subconsciously positive about men seeing their bodies exposed in a positive way. So it caters to both male and female.Transgenders and asexuals will get something. Especially from the deep human connection that breaking boundaries about nudity, in this case as it could be any social boundary, brings to the understanding of why we have these boundaries and how they are maintained and accepted. I can’t believe they didn’t make it. Yeah sure it’s made out to be a silly idea here for the comedic value, but it has real potential as a stand alone project. It’s like a realistic superpower film. Whenever I feel down or depressed I watch this entire video and by the end I'm smiling and laughing just as loud as Ricky. Laughter is truly contagious.
The quality of actors they were able to both get and completely depreciate themselves is quite impressive. Shows how respected Steve and Ricky are as writers.
I was thinking the same thing, you know you're funny when veteran Royal Theater actors and knights can't even get through the dialogue without breaking
I don't think a lump of granite would have been able to sit opposite Patrick Stewart in that scene and not burst out laughing. I've got no idea how Ricky ever got that scene done.
Tears in my bloody eyes. This is why Gervais and Merchant end up with such incredibly funny scenes - because they genuinely find these interactions almost too funny to film.
The thing I love about Ricky is that it doesn't matter how big a name he's filming with, he turns them into an unprofessional corpser as well. Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, serious thespian actors and he has them laughing their balls off.
Specially the way things are like now. Threat of nuclear war. Covid and WHO reminding us there could be a more deadly variant around the corner. This helps to keep our minds of it. Make us also realise how better time was when Extras first came out.
when they are trying to collect themselves it reminds me of getting in trouble in school with my friends and trying not to laugh when the teacher is goin nuts at us hahahahaha uncontrollable laughter
ever tried it in a situation where laughing is downright evil :D? like with a handicapped or something like ... where you not at all wanted to? ´orrible
Just seeing Stephen Merchant sitting behind that desk in a really low chair totally did for me.....totally killed me...and all he was doing was sitting in a chair. The funniest 25 minutes ever....there is no way I could remain serious opposite Merchant.
I love that Ricky and Steve wrote a script so funny that veterans of the acting game like Ian Mckellan and Patrick Stewart struggled to get through their scenes
@@SALTERS9577Extras!! For the majority anyway. Absolute gold. World wide known A list celebrities appearing in a British tv series who all have outlandish scenes. Whenever Ricky sits on the chair in the scene with Steve I find it funny, the air shoots out when he sits down and makes a noise at the perfect moment everytime. I just think it makes it even more funny.
All those professional actors were cracking up. Ricky's laugh made it even more funny. There is no way you can keep composure watching them trying. Just great. Even though this costs them money for all those takes, this is just worth it to me. What joy!
Thank everything good people like this still exist. People with a sense of humor who put their heads down and make people laugh on a bigger platform, but make their co-workers do the same during the process. Anyone who doesn't like this guy has something uncomfortable penetrating their out-hole.
The Xmas specials were the best Xmas specials I have ever seen of any show. Absolute genius, especially the 2nd part where he goes in the big brother house 👌👍🙌
