I can see the Michelle McManus jokes went over your head, which isn't that surprising. She was a big deal around this time. She won the 2nd season of Pop Idol, the show that predated The X Factor. She also did a show called "You Are What You Eat" which was a weight loss show and she did quite well.

It also passed overhead in the stratosphere for me too, and I live in the U.K., so thanks for filling us in. Jim Watt too of course was making a guest appearance, a genuine retired boxing champ.

"Michelle" is Michelle McManus, a Scottish singer who appeared in the Pop Idol talent show and also a weight loss programme on tv.

I've met Jim Watt MBE a few times as i'm friends with his wife Margaret , he's a lovely guy . He's known here as Gentleman Jim . Whenever i've been in his company and a fan younger than 30 comes over to him looking for an autograph or selfie he's always quick to point out that they don't recognise him as a former world champion with a knighthood but they recognise him as the guy from still game . 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Jim Watt was brilliant and WBC lightweight champion from 1979 to 1981. He beat two top Americans to defend his title, Howard Davis and Sean O"Grady. He lost the title in his 5th defence on points over 15 rounds against hall of famer Alexis Arguello.

Jim Watt v Alfredo Whats its name 1979 glasgow . Watt landed a beauty of a left hander and put alfredo on his arse round 7 ?, Alfredo recoverd , round 10 may be 12 Watt watt was battering Alferedo , the ref dragged em to center of ring and Watt battered Alfredo some more , Ref stepped in . stopped the fight . I love watching the lighter weights cos they go ape shite from round 1 xx

Does there really need to be? Still Game peaked around Series 5 let alone from this point. And if you disagree, you either have selective memory, weren't alive when this time of Still Game first came out or are deluding yourself. I'll even give a pass to the original broadcasts but anyone expecting a laugh out of that woke 4k reboot are clearly Snpee/Biden types 😂

@jocelynshanks6199 yeah we know Alan is good @comedy especially gets British humour over most Americans but sometimes things are best not said.we know boaby is uncomfortable around women unless he's making porn videos, but I wish Alan will spare us the doctor Ruth about cringe dates,a set of dumbbells that are small in size oh dear lord just laugh @ the funny bits don't debate the obvious ridiculous situations just don't take things to literally we don't want another incident like hardnuts.some people took that far too seriously oh dear lord.
