You pronounce his name Tuss-eh. His real name is Tousin. When he preformed this, he hadn’t even graduated high school yet. He graduated a few months later. He also won Swedish Idol a few years ago. And most recently he did the Swedish voice for Camilo in Disney’s Encanto.
Tusse is an amazing vocalist. You should check out his covers from Swedish Idol (he won in 2019) if you have not done that already. He did a cover of "How will I know" by Whitney Houston and a cover of "Rise like a phoenix" by Conchita Wurst for example. He also did a duet with the Swedish singer Molly Sandén. They performed her song "Utan dig" ("Without you" in English). It was magical.
@@moanoren2033 I know. It is very impressive. He won Swedish Idol at just 17 as well. The time around ESC must have been so stressful for him. He was graduating high school, he had problems with his throat and his voice and had to operate on his tonsils (just weeks prior to his performance on the ESC stage) and they tested for lymphoma, but luckily he did not have it. He still made it and he did a really good performance even though he was a bit disappointed to finish in 14th place. His opening act he did with Oscar Zia for Melodifestivalen 2022 was very beautiful.
Some more Swedish artists? If you want some heavy metal then i’d suggest Sabaton. Their a Swedish metal band who wrights song based on real life wars and battles historical figures. They made an entire album about a period of Swedish history known as Stormaktstiden (roughly translates to The Era of Great Power) called ’Carolus Rex’.
If you want to check out some Swedish artists that aren’t necessarily Melodifestivalen-related, but rather just famous artists/household names here in Sweden, a few I would recommend are Veronica Maggio, Victor Leksell, Laleh, Molly Sandén, Hov1, Ulrik Munther, Darin, Urban Cone or Maxida Märak. They are all pretty current, popular and recognised names in Sweden (I don't personally listen to every one of them, but can name at least a few songs by them). Of course, there's plenty more amazing artist, but these are just a few off of the top of my head 😊
Sabaton is a good Swedish band, they make historical songs about wars, if that sounds interesting to you maybe check out the song Carolus Rex (both Swedish and English version is good) it's about our "boy king" Carl the 12th of Sweden.
After Carolus Rex I would suggest another Sabaton song from the same album which is "The Lion from the North" which is about the Swedish King Gustav II Adolf who was the king who practically saved the protestants from the catholics during the Thirty years war (1618-1648). Or if you want something from them singing about Americans they have "Devil Dogs" or "82nd all the Way". Great reaction to these videos! :D
Tusse is SO talented! You need to watch his performances in Swedish Idol from 2019. I see someone has already mentioned that. I love all his performances in Idol 2019.
