Thanks a lot for all the valuable info. I've been shooting for a long time but not bench rest. This sport is much more than how it initially looks. Just want you to know that you have been very helpful to an old timer.
If you tune the over travel and pre travel screws you can get the factory trigger to around the 1lb mark. The yodave spring took mine to under a 1lb. The main screw to mess with is the screw on bottom of trigger.
Tight groups demand that the scope reticles remain at a constant 90 degree-vertical/180 degree-horizontal. I use a bipod (preferably with NO cant adjustment) on the rear to stabilize/maintain my zero cant. Also, you mentioned how your gunsmith adjusted the anti-cant bubble. May I suggest that one adjusts the bubble to zero cant by adjusting the bubble to indicate the scope reticle, not the rifle or scope body. In the end, the scope reticle is what is fine-tuned to attain small groups. I use an exterior anti-cant bubble (mounted to my scope) that I could easily see as opposed to the integral scope mount bubble. The integral scope mount bubble indicates a level scope, not necessarily a level reticle!!!!
Good luck. Looks like a nice set up. Something else to mention is killough shooting has that same rifle with a sightron 36 scope same rest and they match the gun to ammo all for just over 1k.
I forgot about that Thanks. Man I wish they would open the riffle price from 1,000MSPR to 1,050MSRP that would open up more riffles to be able to use in the ARA like the Bergara and the LIthcow 101.
You’re mr. secretive about the ammo I see. Did you find the holy grail, the magic bullet, the one nobody’s heard of? Do you do the same with your fishing lures?
Lol no not trying to be secretive just don’t want other people to see what I’m shooting I spend a lot of time and money trying to find that magic bullet. You guys see what my guns like on here and will share everything I know about the Rimfire shooting world. Lol no I don’t do that with my fishing lures I just don’t have luck when I go fishing not matter what I’m using I’m not that great at it.
Why does the ARA allow "all currently produced CZ rifles for factory class" - including the CZ 457 Varmint Precision Trainer with match chamber, which carries a retail price of $1,450, but does not allow the Begara B14-R, which has an MSRP of $1,150? As an outsider, it seems that rules don't have much meaning.
Well I think there not allowed to use them come either April or May. Yea they now retail 1,039 but last year they was at the 995.00 retail price. I know what you mean tho I guy has one and still shooting it and has a 3,000 Night force on it. I think they also need to limit the glass to 1,000 only reason for that is because if someone new is trying to get into the sport there not going to spend that kinda money on glass. If that guys had 4,000 in a factory gun he should of spent the money to get into the unlimited class.
@@304rimfire5 Thanks to your speedy response to my comment. Am I to understand that the ARA is considering rescinding the current list of approved factory rifles, which includes the high end CZs and going to a rule that strictly enforces the $1,000 MSRP limit to qualify for Factory Class? What about the guy(s) who saved up the money and bought one of the high-end CZs based on the current rules? To change the rules now would be like closing the gate after the horses are out ... a very short-sighted decision. Actions have consequences, and I can't imagine that a reversal of the ARA's decision on CZ rifles would result in a positive consequence. Better, in my view, would be to add a "Super Factory Class" with basically the same limitations as the current factory class but opened to rifles in the $1,000-$1,500 price range. That would be the class for the high-end CZs and the Bugera B14-R.
I totally understand where your coming from that’s like my MTR it was 730 last year msrp and now there like 850 msrp give it a couple year and it will be at the 1,000 range. I message Dan last year about the Bergara B-14 because if you look online map pricing is below 1,000 and he said well the msrp is a 1,050. If he would up it to 1,050 you would open the door for other manufacturers to be able to have there rifles on the list like Bergara and Lithcow 101a I think is a 1,050 and then the cz LRP is a 1,050 idk he should revise his price to 50 dollars more if your spending 1,000 what’s 50 bucks.
