Part 3 is where we get into a real evaluation of the possibility that American Rotary enhances the ADX panel by adding start caps when starting a heavy load. My conjecture is this would be the way to get 250% more starting power as they advertise. This is obviously my opinion and conjecture as I don't work for American Rotary and am not privy to what they are planning to do.
All the data and scenes filmed in this video are the opinions of Unique3phase LLC. Test data, amps and volts are all done at my shop using my equipment and are not certified by any testing agency to be accurate.

Very interesting series! I initially learned about you from comments on Steven Cox and chucke2009. in the series you have confirmed the majority of the misconceptions that I have felt were out there about rotary phase converters, especially home machine shops building their own and they're over-simplification about how perfect their three phase was. The one question I didn't see you address your was the phase angles. Most rotary phase converter manufacturers are either stating as fact or leading people to believe that the output has three phases that are exactly 120 degrees apart. From the technical reading that I have done I don't believe that is likely. Can you address that issue? Thanks for all of the information you're providing in your videos. I can't believe you don't have more views and followers.

Sorry for the late response, just saw the comment now. There is a lot of marketing hype by some of these converter manufacturers. I was making the American Rotary video and my wife heard me. She said "they are going to sue you" So I went back and shot some of the stuff over again to be a little less aggressive on the negative. I think American Rotary is really trying to make a good converter and they did use the expensive start caps but it is misleading for them to be advertising 'Precise Voltage control'. It is a rotary converter and that little circuit board only controls the start cap relay and not the load motor. The Phase Perfect converters are really the best way to go. More expensive but they give precise voltage control. There is a lot of literature out there talking about the phase angles. My dad was an electronic engineer and he was going to come when he retired and do some of that testing. Unfortunately he passed away before he could. I never worried about that stuff. I was mostly running motors and they never burned out so ' not to worry'. Thanks for the comment.
