our city department has mostly Crown Vics but also have Chargers, Taurus's, and a few explorers. Our sheriff department mostly uses Crown Vic's

A lot of police departments here in NC actually like it when you drive old police cars because their very presence makes people slow down around them because people think they are unmarked police cars.

I drive a old fire first responder and it still has all its lights and speaker. I never once got pulled over. Plus I have lived in 3 other different states ( IN,VA, and CA) since I bought the car. so you can have the red/ blue/ white on the car, just you can not use them in public.

I suggest a Kenworth T800. It's a modded truck but it's really stable and it has a lot of options.

You don't have to take off paint overspray - take it back and tell them to clean it off.

In my state you can't have the spotlights and emergency lights. They can't sell them with those on it. But you can install the spots back again if you wanted to but not the emergency lights. You see one cruisin' down the road without the lights but still have the mount with a hole. And it's still painted 'StateTrooper blue' with steel rims and no hubcaps. Still have the push bar on them too.

buggs just an fyi the w900 sleeper you had is the longest truck in ats but if you put the sleeper on that T680 it will maneuver alot better

Ever since my local department got Brand New Chevy Tahoes I've seen a lot more Crown Vic's owned by different people. The only requirements that I know of are No spotlights and No rambar.

Police dept's had to go to the using the Chevy Impala's or the Ford Taurus due Crown Vics not being produced anymore. Our dept is now using the 2016 Taurus and just sold their Impala's but before that the sold all their Crown Vics. The sold Vics still had the full Police Interceptor Packages minus the radio's, boxes and wig-wags etc. The spot lights......still on cars when sold.

all i see in my area are like explorers and sometimes Crown Vics for CHP and then its like mostly Crown Vics and Tahoes. But i will see one Tahoe city cop on the road and then all the rest i see are Crown Vics its weird

I think the confusion comes in because you're driving a "police car." What would make it illegal, which would make ANY car illegal, is having a siren and red and blue lights. What makes it even more illegal is using said modifications on the road.

Tyler severson HAHAHAHAH OH MY FUCKING GOD YES!! funny story I was In cali once for the rose parade and after that I took like 2 more days to enjoy cali and me and my uncle and my dad were in the hills and this guy in a truck went from a lane at a light like up to a street and like cut us off and we were sitting at the stop light if that makes any sense at all haha

ugh I hate day cabs. I'd rather have a small little 36 inch sleeper so you can have more leg room, more space to put things, and can lay down for 15-30 minutes if you're exhausted.
