@@goodmfvibes8821 I totally agree. I want to tell the car when to shift and I want to control the rpm. And I want to drop the clutch and drift in the snow.😛
How is this keeping America great you Idiotas? Burning up the last of American oil and gas so that we can buy it from the Middle East? How American you want to be dude? A few moments of thrill that will send that rig right back to the mechanic shop for $600 worth of work.
3:73’s,4:10’s,or 4:56’s??? Watching the tach as you go through the gears and hearing the tires spinning as you go into 3rd leads me to believe it pulls hard af! Super good time video
I got on the LS wagon when I picked up a 2003 Hoe four years ago. She has a few miles on her now but I take good care her. 5.3.. 250xxx.. plenty of power and torque. Can't wait to drop a fresh, mildly built 5.3 SAS is first in line 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Man I love these old trucks. I have a 1980 GMC C10 with a 1970 Oldsmobile 350 Rocket for a heart and a 1987 Chevry R10 with a 305 that has machine work done to the block and heads. These trucks are a must have for any man's toy collection.
@@tahoechris Regardless of my preferences, The LS is almost a throw away. .5 thou on ring to bore? Good luck putting a cross hatch on that at home with basic gear. You need very expensive machinery to rebuild an Ls. The proper diamond hone machine is around 30 grand wanna talk head resurfacing? Same cost again. Cintered rods? Pffft. You can press the wrist pins out, but to get them back in, you need to shrink them with liquid nitrogen. The cost of machinery for these engines rules out most home mechanics, unless you want a knocking smoking result.
@@makattak3550 i didn’t cross hatch mine. My LS has 180k miles. 850cc snake eater injectors Holly terminator and a Brian tooley cam with beehive springs, headers with a 3” exhaust
Why didn't he at least snatch 2nd then? 🤷😄 Weak... 1st gear warrior... 😂 Mine does better than that at 60mph in top gear and it's only a little RB30 turbo
I built a 70 nova in High school, 383, race cam, holly 640 4 barrel. I was at 250 hp maybe 300. Now everything has a 700hp LS, or HEMI or the Toyota thing ..and I think it's great.
@victorrackow8563, yes and quick acceleration is nice but Idc how quickly an "instant torque AE-V" is, it just cannot match the excitement of the sound of "ICE" vehicles! When I went with my brother to the dragstrip, just seeing an "AE-V" float down the track, there was nothing exhilarating about that.... But when a roaring V8 is slamming through the gears and you're ~100 feet away and as it passes by you can't even feel your own heartbeat, instead the exhaust note of that powerhouse is vibrating throughout your entire body.... THAT is exhilarating!
I wish the young generation didnt have to think it has to be a Ls to see this type of results? With a good build and deep pockets the sky the limits!!! Vote for banning Ls motor in classics!!! Nice truck tho, I’m jealous
Had a 327 with flat tops I believe it was 30 over cammed & head work & if my memory serves me correctly it was for sure moving ALOT better than the truck in this vid & the pos was a 3/4 ton lol
Idk but I guess 6.2 LS3 based off how fast it got out of the hole I was trying to look at dash to see RPMs lol I think it was reving over 6000 maybe like 6500
Put a built 383 stroker in my 67 C10. Found out REAL FAST I had to upgrade those manual drum brakes. Went like a scalded cat, but I couldnt stop worth a dang.
