Hey Jeff, I'm the creator of the Mirror FOV mod, quick bit of info, if you go to your config file located in the PROFILE folder, look for this line: uset g_phys_mirrors and change the number from "0" to "1" this will give you better working mirrors that fully function with the position of your head and have better FOV than the standard setting.
This looks a lot like Oregon, especially the specific things from Medford to Eugene. I grew up in Eugene, and dad had a trucking company, I live in Seattle now. Thanks Jeff, love your videos and didn't expect to be thinking about how much I miss my dad tonight... but this was a fun way to remember him. Probably something neither of us expected, but it was a delightful surprise for me.
Hey Jeff, when backing up in tight places you want the back of the trailer to be closes to your side rather than the blind side for the obvious reason of hitting things! In the lumber yard if you had the trailer a lot closer to the lumber on the left, you'd more than likely not need a pull up!
Hey Jeff, Being from Oregon. This is pretty accurate with the scenery Fir trees in the area you are in and then Pine trees east of the cascades. The rest stops actually look like Oregon rest stops. Fun fact HWY 20 the one you took to get to Newport out at the coast can take you straight to Boston with out getting off. The only thing disappointing about what I have seen is that they did not put the new Oregon State Police graphics in and kept the old graphics. Been watching for over a year great job! Hope you are able to make a run to Bend where I live.
I actually live in Albany Oregon and I’m truly shocked they added that town. Fun fact the airport you passed in Albany is the second oldest in the world
Logan Thomas the airport is on the wrong side of the freeway lol and it's funny that right after Eugene it says Albany 2 miles when in real life Albany is like 50 or more miles from Eugene.
It takes SCS around 10 months to make a state. At this rate it's gonna take around 46 to 48 years to complete the entire a country (if you include Alaska and Hawaii)
I gotta say, I'm liking what I see on the Oregon map so far! This is pretty realistic. Not every detail is great, or perfect, but they still did pretty good.
Hello Jeff. I apologize in advance for my English, but i love ur chanel! And i love ur LSPDFR, ATS and other episodes. You americans are lucky to have your police and trucks, they are amazing! We russians don`t have those things as they are in ur country!
I live in Medford, Im soooo ready for this expansion! Its awesome Oregon is being added. The fish you see on the bridges were suppose to be salmon from my understanding. Salmon fishing is a pretty big thing around here during the season.
Been to that truck stop in medford many times, used to stay at a motel 6 across the street when I had to do service calls down there. The castle thing is the fairgrounds down there. The "Features" in Canyonville is the 7 Feathers casino.
I love Oregon, just spent 2 weeks there seeing as much as I could. Driving through the Redwoods in the game was pretty cool and the smith river area. Also driving passed the Trees of Mystery and seeing the Giant Paul Bunyan and Babe carvings in game was a neat experience. Taking a wrong turn in Portland in the spaghetti mess of a roadway, just like in real life lol.
Sooo glad to finally see Oregon! I'm on the Coast not far from Coos Bay. Can't wait till you make a trip through there. You should try for a coast run if possible from south to north or vise versa. I hope to see some familiar sights.
I feel so great watching this and as to how realistic it is. I personally have lived in Oregon all my life and while some of this isn't spot on they manged to get so much of it completely right. I can't wait till the 4th so i can get this dlc and play it.
awesome I saw the phoenix hospital on the moutain hopefully they captured some bits of kfalls / klamathfalls. also it's always fun to get your truck stuck on a simple speed bump usually happens in the snow and takes alot of granny gear and rocking back and forth and sometimes chaining up lol sweet the have seven feathers casino and truck stop
Just a personal request, if you can get one more trip in before the 4th, see if you can get to Portland, get a job heading east along I-84 to say The Dalles or Pendleton. I'll make the trip anyway. But I am curious as to how it looks in game as I live in the Portland area. Thanks ahead of time.
I love the advisory speed signs underneath the curve signs, everything about Oregon looks so realistic. Ugh I can't wait 72 more hours for the release!
Hey Jeff, there's a button you can bind in the options for "zoom cab interior" or something like that. It really helps when using the mirrors to reverse as you can zoom in when looking at the mirrors. Cheers for the showcase of Oregon, I can't wait to start on this one with some triple trailers!
Hey Jeff you hit the Oregon Line at 4:08... lol.. love your videos.. in fact your one of the reasons i started my live streams and video on RU-vid.. would love to play with ya sometime. keep up the cool videos enjoy them all
It's finally good to see some green in ATS. lol I'm loving the way Oregon looks so far. Can't wait to try it out myself. I thought it was clever that they are releasing it on 10-4.
The airport is on the wrong side of the high way in Albany and there is a Home Depot right across from the exit ramp and you would usually continue to Corvallis to get to Newport. Still very cool!
I live in Albany and was kinda pissed to see no city or any building's. The airport should be on right side as your going on the on ramp. I live 5 mins from there and could detail it better then devs
They should definetely hurry up with their recruitment process. Releasing 5 states at a time, probably during Christmas wood be a good thing I think....within next 8-9 years they will have full US under their arsenal.....a different team can take up map remaking side by side.....
Canyonville is actually exit 99 in real life, Features probably is for the Seven Feathers Casino, and the casino owns the truck stop across the highway. The river is the South Umpqua River. I finished high school in Canyonville, and worked at Seven Feathers as a slot technician. I'm glad Canyonville was included, and it looks just like the area, SCS did a great job!!!
I just started my course to get my truck liscence last week. I bought this game when I came out but only played a bit, gonna have to get back into it shortly!
That's exactly how it looks in real life 2 I have driven that quite a few times I used to live in Klamath Falls Oregon used to go all the time from Klamath Falls to Medford and to the state line
A year ago I drove down the interstate 5 from vancouver B.C to Los Angeles and back and I have to admit that, especially in Oregon the Highway was way more hilly and a bit bigger as opposed to the in game portrayal.
I was living in Oregon for almost 2 years now I’m back in Indonesia. Dude I really wish I could go back I think I fell in love with the PNW and Oregon. Love the nature since I’m an outdoor type of guy. Hope I can go back there soon and staying this time
I haven't played ATS in a long time so I'll have to dust if off and get Oregon! Also can't wait to watch your iRacing stream this Thursday! It would be pretty sweet if you had a broadcast team livestream the races from a TV POV. I only mention that cause I'm looking to pursue sports broadcasting and I would love the opportunity to broadcast some iRacing races once I get it.
As someone who lived in Medford, they got the detail right! the road layout and the detail on the overpass was surprisingly accurate. Kind of disappointed they didn’t include the Siskiyou Pass though (highest point on I-5 and a dangerous stretch of highway)
I use the same setup as you Jeff.i did buy my 18 speed adaptor from csio ages ago when they first started out and found them to be ok.i didn't know people where having issues with csio now though.
The “feature” in caynonville is a casino in real life. I was on a fire about an hour east of there over the summer. I hope you get to take a trip up to my hometown in Astoria home of the Goonies.
Think I just heard this DLC will be available next week. CANNOT WAIT!!! Also your Video Didn't Help with my patience of its release being able to see it early like this lol. Enjoyed as always brother.
This looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait for this to release (tomorrow perhaps??). Gonna be a lot of fun to explore a new state and get some more miles on the ol' W900.
24:40 Wow, really getting a serious I 5 near Castle Rock vibe here for sure... not exactly like it but close enough that someone who grew up in Portland can recognize it.
usally jeff the bypass/weight stations/tourist info stops are usally on state lines puy west. and i used to run to orgen. the speed limit used to 55 in that state. i have heard they changed it to 60 to 65 lately. and i heard in your video you glider kitted your 579 pete nice.
I'm just saying now. If you ever go to coos Bay from medford do not take the eureka coos Bay exit! It's so long. You want to take the southerlin exit onto 138 then go through Elkton onto 38 then though scotsburg into reedsport then take 101 to coos Bay. Anyway good video!
@@zachthenebula Sorry, I screwed up my geography there. It's between Redding and Hornbrook in the bit he skipped in the start. I don't think they added the lake, but the mountain is there. 1.32 added Weed to the base game, if you use the debug menu you can free cam and check it out, just look for the US97 exit on I-5. There's invisible walls that keep you from driving it without the Oregon dlc, but 97 goes halfway up Mt Shasta before dropping into the abyss at the pre-Oregon edge of the map.
