I've heard about this too. I am deciding between a pitbull and bully, to get soon.. overall I'm a big dog lover in general. My heart is with these people. I don't like what has happened over there in the UK with the dogs, the new law or even deaths that have happened,... And it is sad, I feel like the owners shouldn't have their dogs taken away, I feel some dogs aren't trained properly and I fully agree with you 100% about negligence. My heart goes out to people whose lost loved ones over it and it shouldn't have happened, although I'm not putting a dog over a human but on the other hand some responsibility can land on the owner for not training them or getting them fully trained. Some people get dogs just to say they have a nice big dog because of how they look how big they are or how popular they are until someone gets hurt.
I’m in the uk and I have a red nosed chocolate 11 month old pitbull🤭he’s my baby but I only walk him when it gets dark cos of snitches,my pittie is a bundle of energy and is so loveable,I’ve took him the park and ppl always comment on how gorgeous he is and what breed is he so I say staffy X,but a few ppl stop me and comment on my pittie(obvs those that know pitbull breeds)My neighbour an friend has an XL bully they don’t even walk him no more cos of grasses!😒😤
Plus XL bully owners are being offered £200 by our UK government to “hand over”their bully’s to be put down🥺😭😔,It’s asshole owners using these dogs to look all hard n tough!
I'm from the UK, I have a 3yr old female classic american bully and adopted a male 1year old XL last month December to save him from ending up in the shelter and possibly being put down. His a lilac merle that was actually imported from the US so he has a long story/history already and had 3 homes prior before coming to me. The owners prior didn't have time and others had male dogs that didn't take to him. I'm not happy with the ban, but I will comply for them. I renamed him to get a fresh start at his forever home. I chose the name Poseidon as my female is called Hera. I have already prepped him getting use to the muzzle and i use an extended lead to allow him to get some freedom in the park and canal watching the ducks but back on the chain when walking the streets so his close to me. He has already been well socialised what was great. I have trained him outside well so far, he does not pull on the lead, waits at the road and waits for me to say "Cross". Fearful people approaching by walking I will stop and make him sit in between my legs, for there comfort, and to show his obedient. Everyone is now afraid of this beautiful breed. His a lovely dog and I've got all the time in the world for him and my girl. His still very new to our home and still learning about him, plus him with me. But I will protect them at all cost by following the rules and adapting to them. I will be buying him a spiked collar and harness to protect him from other dogs when his muzzled, as he will be vulnerable to dogs with bad owners. I put myself in this situation knowing of the ban and I dont regret it for one minute saving him. My grandma from Jamaica use to foster/adopt dogs when she lived in England when I was little in the early 90's. Literally a team of dogs (sometimes she had about 8 to 10 of them) I learnt alot from her, God rest her soul. I think the Cane Corso will be the next target from government to ban. I don't believe this is the end.
Pit bulls have been banned since 93 ish I live in the UK, the law is wrong on so many levels they want the XL bullys neutered aswell they are trying to wipe the breed out all together in this country
I still cannot believe this able to happen, when in the UK, the XL bully didn't even make the top 5 dangerous breeds recorded for bites or attacks on humans, shepards and rotties made the top 5, and jack Russel came in at number 1 over there! I’m in Australia so this ban in the UK made me nervous
I am not sure if you see this response, but I continue to work with rescue dogs that people will say have aggressive tendencies. It takes a long time to teach these older dogs. To socialize them among people and other dogs. You know as well as I, that a dog can easily go over threshold if not properly socialized when they encounter another dog or a strange behavior from a person or even loud noises. I could go on forever. Thank you for the video. It is wonderful.
I have an xl bully in the uk and is absolutely no issue. The only reason they are doing it is because there are alot of people making money off these dogs. There are so many dogs other than bullies such as jack russells, Chihuahua etc that are vicious and have been in situations where they are agressive!
I think your wrong its not like drugs class A to where there sold elegally, and the government don't earn any profit from it, plus a big difference between a XL & a Chihuahua in muscle mass xl must be about 107 pounds of muscle then a Chihuahua say about 5 pounds i know who I'd rather attack me. Or my child at least a child would have a fighting chance if survivel.
Any dog can turn at any given time back in the day my dad bread the German shepherd's we had a lovely male long-haired one, had from a pup, as children we could pull jump on him i used to get on his back carry me around. And one day i was learning to do my shoe laces up & he just went for me, no reason at all. So goes to show the dog doesn't need to be aggressive they can just snap one day for no reason. And the power of a xl your dead statistics have proved that.
About knowing your dog. My last dog a border collie was unpredictable, I trained myself to avoid his triggers. I had him 13 years. He reacted to all dogs and strangers. I knew my dog.
It’s just ignorance, I was walking my friends little doodle dog and I man I know came over and wanted to pet him. I have an American bully that has her canine good citizen and he won’t pet her. I asked why he doesn’t pet her. He said he doesn’t pet pit bulls. My poor sweet dog doesn’t have a new bone in her body. It breaks my heart.

Dog is the number 3 in the top 3 of animals sending people to the afterlife every year. And yes it 99% are bullybreeds who do that. There is no reason to own such a dog.
You will own nothing and be happy. Soon you will need to have everything registered meaning you will pay monthly or yearly fees to posses items. To think these people care weather you’re dog bit or shot with a firearm is crazy. They want to generate corporate state cash flow.
Bro, too many people get this dog and dont train it and cant control it. That is dangerous for everyone. If people really want one of these 50 -80kg strong strong dogs which have no real history then they should have to pay a huge amount of insurance every year. It's not the dogs it's the people themselves.
I have one American Staffordshire pitbull terrier. I have a pitbull mix. She’s a girl she was a neglected starved beaten, and I have to deal with that now I have a little puppy. I have not ran her. What is she really but I’m a call her a pitbull but they’re not like my first one my boy he is 100% blue nose, American Staffordshire, pitbull terrier love him a lot and his funny acting. I don’t want to eat that mama. I need something different like some human food I need seasoning.
A little boy got attacked from a collie and some other dog and it didn't make the news these dogs have been singled out I have an Xl Bully but I live in Scotland
Yeah the UK is the king of hasty, vague bans on random things. They recently banned large serrated “machete type,” tools because of a surge of knife violence, even though kitchen knives are the majority culprits of this violence, not at all the tools they have nixed, if my memory serves me correct

The 1's involved in UK attacks aren't even AMB's .. there all American bulldogs x pits ... but now even a staff x lab is vulnerable bco they are not a recognised breed 😢
I have a bully, 70 percent of dog attacks are bullies? this is not the breed. . A bully is a total lush. for a bully to be vicious there has to be some really wrong owners out there......this is weird and suspicious. anything that will protect you....right up there with the gun bans.. deaths from a bully ? I find that so hard to believe.
It didn't work in 1991 when they did the same with pitbulls.. 2day there are thousands of pitbulls ! The idiots will just get a cane corso presa canerio or a boerboel like mine ❤ totally legal & you make a 200lb Boerboel aggressive It won't end well .. & we don't have dog wardens... they leave 2 the public who don't like you 2 grass you up 😡💚

I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 I'm sorry i love dogs all animals but there are young people gangs getting these dogs & some for drug protection there in the wrong hands not to mention massive amounts of breading & sold at a ridiculous price for which I'd never pay for something that's not a pur bread. There bread to fight i was at my local vets not so long ago & this guy comes in with his xl and you can see it had been in an eligle dog fight the vet was furus and called the police & rightly so i was in tears 😢 for this dog. There bread money making machine now that might not be the case in America but in UK yes. I get it why owners who own these dogs are angry i really do but let's not be silly & not look at the negative hear kids getting attacked & dying it's wrong no mention for the loss of the parents just about the bread being banned. I don't believe killing innocent dogs but i do believe in the government enforcing this ban & another reason is because i was with my dog whose bread is a chow chow we was out & about i came out of a coffee shop & from no where took us by surprise & attacked my chow. Obviously being a owner i tried to protect her ended up getting badly injured myself. The dog was with a young youth wasn't holding the lead in a built up public area. Once my chow got her bearings & realised we were being attacked she went crazy trying to get to this dog lucky enough the young youths grabbed his dogs lead, my chow was up on her hind legs gunning for this dog so much so she broke her D wring on her harness. I was able to command my dog and calm her down but it could of ended badly my chow was protecting me. So I'm sorry but i agree with the ban but different measures so innocent dogs don't get put to sleep.
Sorry to say this but people getting hurt or even worse killed by dogs will always happen regardless of breed. Rottweiler, doberman, pitbull, bully... what gets banned next? Cane corso, bull mastiffs? Its about time our government come up with I new idea rather than just killing and banning dogs. I used to own a Rottweiler and I'm very aware of the damage a big dog could potentially cause but that don't mean they will. I currently have a staffy x American bulldog and will no doubt get harassed by police at some point just like many other owners will when they go on there manhunt for our innocent dogs. We'll done Mr prime minister you've solved nothing and destroyed thousands of family's loving pets. What a fucking legend you are
@seancairns4947 Difference is my chow has a very calm loving nature & doesn't attack for no reason, like any dog she was protecting me her owner. But yes your right chows are very strong and can put up a fight but chows aren't the issue hear .
