Enough enough enough of the exaggeration about the US Army there were two more there the Brits and Canucks Who launched themselves at Caen before the US had even left the area

There were more than just the US, Britain, and Canada there. I’ve seen many films about the Brits in WWII. Oddly they only tout how wonderful they were and downplay the Americans, Canadians, ANZAC’s, Polish, Norwegians, French, and others that served and died that day. The US was given the hardest beach to take, fielded the most troops, and suffered the most deaths and injuries. They earned their place in history that day. I suggest you write and narrate a podcast from the British point of view if you want more British input.

@@KarenBryant-qv9nm 1. Montgomery always praised his Dominion troops and kept us in the loop Which was why our Diggers liked him and our Senior Generals got on well with him It was the pompous fools who were disliked 3. Slim admired his Indian/Gurkha Troops immensely 4. Poles etc all came under the umbrella of the British Army and the Poles had no problems up to that disaster that Eisenhower launched, Market Garden, and it was those incompetent Browning/Brereton that put them in harms way For Market Garden see ORBAT Market Garden Montgomery was NOT the leader 5. The Shoreline was the same right along the beaches on D/Day very steep 6. There were more Brits/Canadians at D/Day than US troops US Army 57500 Brits/Canadians 75255 and there were more R/N ships as well r/n163 Gunships USN 46 gunships 7/You were boys at DDAY less than 1 year in theatre Brit Regiments had been at Dunkirk and were at D/Day after 5 years of bloody hard fighting Libya Italy and now France 5 years of fighting not 12 months of training . 7.Until the introduction of this media We have constantly been barraged with US this US did that US did everything else. Now we who are not Americans can start pulling the house down around your ears 8. If I had the knowse I would do a pod cast however I am not conversant with the process Maybe one day some Brits Aussies Canadians Kiwis etc cleverer than I will do it. Our Wartime exploits and Failures should be told with no embellishments like on the heading on this video. I mean to say "Americans Brilliantly out manoeuvred etc etc ad nauseam

Well, Well, it's all down to the Americans again, I don't know why Britain, The Commonwealth and others bothered. We should have sat back and left it to the Yanks!
