The sidecar racing is insane to watch.

I live on the Isle of Man , it always sends shivers down my spine when i see the tt , the guys that ride them are super human, balls of steel.

The ‘Senior’ TT is one of the bike categories in the TT where the bikes are restricted to certain modifications and tyres. They are often full racing bikes modified to the rules for that specific race. 200 mph bikes on racing tyres screaming around public roads. Pure heaven!

I have to laugh, each time you do a joint reaction Steve always says “That’s enough rambling from us” and I always share a knowing look with Lindsay’s image as I’m sure she is thinking what’s all this us. The TT race is something I am happy to see through the safety of a TV screen.

06:30 Senior TT is the last race of the week, the big race. Unlike others which are class specific, Supersport, Superstock1000 and Superbike classes, in the Senior you can run whatever bike you want. It's going to mostly be the Superbike which are the most advanced with race specific suspension/brakes but sometime the Superstock is used, which are basically the road legal (buy it out of the shop) version of the Superbike and can be faster than a Superbike (which can be complicated to setup). Peter Hickman actually set the outright TT average speed lap record on a Superstock bike at 136.358mph last year in the Senior TT.

There's a retired TT racer called guy martin you would love him proper nonsense humble guy who loves engineering for Christmas his dad got him a tractor engine it's his prize possession. Hes also made programs on industrial britan and lots of other engineering and restoration projects.

This is the most dangerous motorcycle event in the World in which there have been numerous fatalities over the years, including race marshalls and spectators as well as riders. The ONLY year to date in which the event has been held without ANY deaths was 1982.

The last TT automobile race was held in 1922, bikes and side-cars only since then.

The crash that is often shown of the rider cartwheeling down a sloping field for a couple of hundred yards or so is the most amazing thing; especially since he survived and went racing again.

2016, Bruce Anstey blasting off from the start line, just about to head down and into Bray Hill and he hit the curb on the right. A split second lay off and BAM! Straight off pavement and full in down the hill. Doing about 150mph, the clip is on here.

When going over the mountain section the bikes are going so fast the camera helicopters can’t actually keep up with the action so they have to be very strategic in how they film the action in that section of the course.

Love Isle of man TT . But let's us remember all the once who died at the race. Still this race is legend and must continue. What a passion these drivers show. Respect!!!!

There is a video somewhere we're Joey Dunlop has a camera on his bike & he states if you're helmet doesn't scrape the stone wall you're not trying & he shows his helmet with scratches on it 😮.

Members of the public can ride around the closed track on the Sunday of the race. It's called Mad Sunday and it's a lot of fun.

Steven if you are coming for the TT make sure you book a hotel a year in advance. It’s generally booked up a year before, it’s held at the last week of May and first week of June every year. I dither a little when I’m doing 60mph on these roads in a car let alone 200 mph on a bike! Great to see the pair of you again.

Guy martins accident in the isle of man TT was scary. Incredibly lucky to have survived. A hell of a rider. And there is a youtube documentary on the incident.

The "Senior" TT is the pinnacle event at the Isle Of Man TT races. It was 1907 when the first Isle of Man TT Races took place, however it wasn’t until 1911 that the Snaefell Mountain Course was used and, significantly, this was also the first time the famous Senior TT race was held - and when it did, it instantly became the Blue Riband event. Traditionally held on the final day of the event, race week would build up to the closing Senior TT Race with all the major manufacturers queuing up to not only contest it but, more importantly, win it. It also became the race everyone remembered - as the closing event of race week, if you won the Senior TT, it stayed at the forefront of spectators minds for a full year - and the leading riders of the day were quickly adding their names to the most famous trophy in motorcycle racing, the Marquis de Mouzilly St. Mars Trophy.

Hey Steve. You guys really should check out Guy Martin's content on here. Things like his motorcycle wall of death world record and his TT racing stuff, he's a brilliant rider. He's, mainly, a truck mechanic with an obsession for engineering. He's also a UK national treasure. Watch his stuff and you'll see why and you'll, probably, end up wanting to do some longer reaction videos to things like his documentary series on the industrial revolution. On there, he joins historical restoration projects, such as helping restore a steam train and a stretch of heritage railway in one episode. He really gets stuck in with job and gets his hands dirty. Careful though, it's really easy to get hooked, like a good book you can't put down.

You want to watch TT: Closer to the edge. Follows the riders up to the 2010 super stocks races.

My uncle and cousins used to race in this, they do know the course so well, the racers will return year after year and have them mapped in their heads.

Imagine traveling to the Isle of Man and finding a great spot to watch the race, then you see your favorite rider in 0.0001-second intervals.

Brilliant guys, thank you.. We went on the Ferry a few years ago, rough crossing but worth every minute. The Red Arrows were there that year also. Its crazy, bikes *everywhere & really enjoyable, everyone is so nice & very friendly.

These Isle of Man racers have got balls bigger than the size of planets… incredible.

There are some Motor Racing events that are a must the IOM TT is one of them. Unfortunately to go you usually have to book the crossing a year in advance same goes for accommodation, sometimes it's even longer. My Mates and I used to go regularly back in my biking days for the full 2 weeks, camping out. Between official practices you can ride the course yourself no speed limits. Done it a few times, its the most exciting and scariest thing to do, you always say never again but then the next time comes and off you go. Other great races are The Le Mans 24h Race, The Belgian Grand prix at Spa-Francorchamps, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the Italian Grand Prix at Moza these are the ones I've been to countless times.

I used to take a weeks holiday to go to the TT Races. What a fabulous week it was too. Superb racing during the day (I was actually at the TT in 1957 when the fantastic Bob McIntyre riding a Gilera broke the OFFICIAL 100mph lap for the first time) and nights at the Villa Marina Ballroom were always great nights out. I wrote Official in Capitals as Geoff Duke did a 100mph lap the year before, but it was not from the official start/finish line, so it could not be ratified.

Dude, you need to check out the Mach Loop. Low level flying from some of the best pilots in the world. Check out the heavy stuff like C17's and A400's most of them flying below the altidute of the photographers on the hill side.

Also RIAT (royal international air tatto) is an air show in the uk held in a Cotswold town (where I live) called Fairford. It has an RAF air base but it’s used predominantly by the US air force and once a year hosts an air tattoo

On a normal day it takes 1¼ hours to drive around the course, these guys manage it in about 18 minutes!

Hi,defo catch up on guy Martin stuff,he does some interviews where he does a lap of the TT tells you more about the streets. I think I was Belfast race he came off and broke is back and was back at work I think 3 months later,he also did pikes peak on a bike,downhill race in a cart under own steam,and a van race in the states somewhere,all good however you might find his accent a bit hard to understand.

They started in 1907, since then there 259 fatalities during official practices and races, 156 during races and 269 total fatalities including spectators

Don't forget they also have rally cars and side car racing here too. Side car is probably the most dangerous one of the three.

You guys need to watch more instances of British humour. The hair raising was obviously a deliberate joke set up. Of course he "noticed" it, the wig was pulled from behind and he made super deliberate head double take back and forth movements in exaggerated "shock and surprise".

The thing to remember is that this race is on normal roads, closed for the race. Not a race track. Last bad tace I remember was 7 dead, 3 motorcyclists and 4 spectators.

That bike that did 218mph is the Kawasaki H2. There are two versions of that bike that you can buy off the lot, a street version and a track version. The track version has a 1 liter, supercharged, 4 cyl motor that produces as much as 320hp. It can accelerate from 0-250mph in just over 30 seconds. It is the only factory produced, forced induction bike on the market, and cost north of $50,000. The street version is much more tame, having the exact same motor, but "only" producing 240hp.

I hiked through epping forest to catch the Tour De France (peddle bike race) when it had a leg in the uk. Was on the edge of the road and it was terrifying when they came speeding past, can’t imagine being that close to motorbikes! 😮

If you want to watch the races live they happen 2 weeks of the year i. the last week of May and the first week June (normally). First week is practyise week and 2nd is Race week.

You should watch the TT sidecar racing

I think you should see the IOM outside of the racing. You won't get to see much of the Island if you go during the TT week. If you are not going to be watching the racing you have to be up early and decide if you want to be inside or outside the course. The IOM is a must see and is better during the quieter times - says a girl who used to go every year for the TT! LOL You should go in early July for the Tynwald Day. Look it up. I think this is the longest running government ever. There is so much to see there. And you want to do the steam trains and the electric trams. Seems a shame to go all the way from the US just to see the racing!

Have ridden my bike to the iom tt and going again in may, I can assure you riding the mountain section with no speed limit surrounded by fellow bikers is simply insane 😁😱😁😱

This is the slow race for the veterans that fast one is on the Saturday.

Check out Kielder Forest Rally. Kielder Forest is in Northumberland at the very north of England just before you get to Scotland. It's fabulous, utterly brutal, scary and amazing! IMHO it's just as outstanding as the TT races.

You have to watch Mark Higgins driving a Suburu Impreza around the TT course.

Try The Maldon mud race which began in 1974 when a regular at a local pub was challenged to serve a meal on the riverbank dressed in a dinner jacket. The challenge evolved into a race across the river to a waiting barrel of beer, drinking a pint of beer there and racing back. People come from everywhere to take part.

I've not been to this race but I have been to the northwest 200 in northern Ireland. Worth a watch if you can find any videos on you tube.

I have done that circuit not on a motorcycle but driving a car, so a lot slower and in keeping with the speed limits.

Sadly, the Isle of Man TT race is a killer... claims a life every year on average, if not more !! But it's still spectacular to watch these pros, giving it full throttle !! 🇬🇧💚

Check out nw200 (northwest 200) here in northern ireland where they race together in mass start on roads . Also theres the ulster grand prix but it hasn’t been run last couple years due to funding issues. Hickman held the lap record there before he went faster in iom. And Armoy race of legends - a smaller track on country roads ( one of the jumps in your video is on this course)

I used to go to the TT every year from 1970 until the mid-80`s. Speeds then were nothing like today, but there was the added bonus of the works teams (MV, Honda,Benelli and so on) taking part. Great times.

I have been and seen this. It’s so dangerous. Every year someone looses their life. I went to watch the side car races. The roads are at some point are opened up to public to have a go

My family owns the Cronkbane Cottages at the 11th milestone. Bikes passing that close to you is a visceral feeling - intense. You should watch the documentary "Closer to the Edge" for one of the best explanations of the TT, and it made a major star of Guy Martin (and his crash). It also includes young Conor Cummins's (local hero) horrific crash on the mountain part of the circuit. Something that really needs being reacted to!
