That wreck in Brighton was the west pier, back in the 70's it was still in use. After the Great Storm of 1987 the West Pier received severe structural damage. And the council sold it off cheap as long as the investor restored the pier. Surprise surprise a few years later it went up in flames. Remember swimming out to the central structure in the 90's as there was still a ladder in place that went all the way up. FYI I had a zip lock bag in my mouth with Rizla's tobacco, weed and a lighter, just so we could have a joint up there.
The big dipper is the plough in the UK as it looks like an old fashioned plough (before tractors were invented). Ticks are your checkmarks but tics are our bloodsucking insects.
You said that Northern Ireland is no longer in the EU, but Ireland is. This is actually incorrect as both Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland are BOTH in the EU. England, Wales and Scotland voted to leave, but Northern Ireland voted to stay. We now have a rather unique situation where there are import / export controls and taxes to and from other EU nations, including Ireland. But there are no controls to and from Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK, even though NI are not in the EU.
To European (and Australian) tastes, American chocolate can taste a bit disgusting, and here's why: "Butyric acid is a compound found in milk products and is also present in rancid butter and vomit, which is why it might evoke a "sick" taste association. Some American chocolate manufacturers add butyric acid during production to give the chocolate a longer shelf life." Since Cadbury chocolate in the US is produced by Hershey, it suffers from the same issues. I love seeing how you react to 'proper' chocolate, and I'd also love to see the two of you go to town in one of our Australian 'home-grown' artisan chocolate shops, using native ingredients and flavours like lemon myrtle, wattle seed and pepper berry.
I went on a school trip aged 14 it had been opened 2 years then, I appreciate it more now at the time I was convinced I'd see fish 😅😅 unfortunately its the most boring trip ever! We could get off and walk around the coach but all you can see is a tiny window with the occasional light flicker out of it. We also had a cardboard school passport at the time however I dont think that would suffice nowadays lol but yeah definitely need passports if leaving the UK. We don't if we're going to Scotland, Wales or parts of Ireland and Jersey though I'm pretty sure? I've been on a plane to Scotland and only needed my driving licence that was weird!

On UK TV there is a 9 pm water shed no adult programming are put on before that time, parent are responsible for having children in bed before then, these adds would be on well into the night, don't forget Wales by the way.
His brother Richard Attenborough is prolly more famous in America. Actor/director in many great movies. Most iconic/well known today is maybe Jurassic Park.

Lindsay, there’s a home made sweet that’s very expensive to buy because of the work involved, but my Mum used to make Chocolate Coated Orange Peel. Mum worked all day to make it, and if she didn’t give us one piece each, we would have consumed the entire jar in ten minutes!
Glad to see your sheer enjoyment of our tastier chocolates from your UK fans Edit: Personally I've found Green & Blacks a bit of a hit or miss, in that some of their chocolates are amazing and others are a bit meh (but that's my personal opinion). Edit 1: If you let Sophia try those, I hope she also loves them. Edit 2: To be fair from what I've head Hersheys refused to allow Cadbury's import directly and forced them to allow Hershey's to make Cadbury's under license.
You could say that Green and Black's are American as they were founded in 1991 bought out by Cadbury's in 2005 which in turn was owned by Mondelez Chicago US. 🧐
Do you mean Chaka Khan for the song lol? Apparently Green & Black's is owned by Cadbury now, but as a separate company. I see it everywhere, but I think I've only ever tried it once, and that was a good while ago, so I don't remember what it's like.
the terms "Gurkha" and "Gorkhali" were synonymous with "Nepali", which originates from the hill principality Gorkha Kingdom, from which the Kingdom of Nepal expanded under Prithvi Narayan Shah, who was the last ruler of the Gorkha Kingdom and first monarch of the Kingdom of Nepal. The Gurkha battle cry is Aayo Gurkhali. Meaning "'The Gurkhas are upon you!" or "Jai Mahakali, Ayo Gorkhali!" Meaning "Victory to Goddess Mahakali, the Gurkhas are upon you!" Pretty intense little fellows. As for why they are so loyal..it was in 1814 that they were actually adversaries to the British...but Technology favored the British and terrain, against the Gurkhas. A mutual respect developed, and when the war ended with the Treaty of Segauli in 1816 both sides decided that they would be better as friends rather than enemies, and from that point Gurkha regiments began to be raised as part of the East India Company's army. This is a bond forged in Blood ..they will always be loyal..it is their way.
Hi guys, meant to say. If you have plain dark chocolate left over, it works brilliantly in chilli. Say 4 squares in a big pot, stirred in say 5mins before serving. They use dark chocolate in a lot of savoury food in Mexico.
The problem was you had white chocolate before milk. Milk chocolate always tastes darker than it is after white. If you are eating all three you need to go dark, milk then white to get the truest taste.
Hi, I'm lactose intolerant & Green & Blacks are one of the very few safe chocolate I can have. The chocolate % is way higher than most. They do a dark with ginger OMG! Devine. I think it's a crime you guys have rubbish chocolate, shouldn't be allowed.
The Massed Bands of His Majesty's Royal Marines, numbering some two hundred, perform their beating retreat ceremony every two years (formerly three years) at London's Horse Guards Parade in celebration of the birthday of their Captain General, Charles III (as of 2022).
