It was actually called the goddamn particle but the publisher on a book on the Higgs boson changed it to the god particle. Wich most physicist are bothered by to this day. ✌😉

The Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon music video was created by Silverman as a prank on Jimmy Kimmell, her boyfriend at the time. Jimmy Kimmell had a running gag at the end of his show that Matt Damon was meant to appear but they ran out of time. Then on one show he actually had Matt on the show but cut the interview short because they were "out of time".

John Sargent was on Strictly Come Dancing our version of Dancing with the Stars. He couldn't dance and was becoming more popular to win. Good dancers were being voted off, which is why he left.

Check out the compilation of comedians roasting Dara O'Brien on Mock the Week if you want something politically neutral to react to! - That show is a bit political but not offensively so I'd say, it's more improv based on news headlines. James Acaster, Rhys James, Milton Jones have some great bits on there!

Nearly got there with Jimmy Kimmel live...IIRC Silverman was dating Kimmel at the time, and the song was part of Damon's "war" with Kimmel based on the "we ran out of time" deal. So it's even better than you thought, in terms of Damon having humour.

John Sargent was on Strictly Come Dancing🕺 (Dancing with the Stars in US) & he was dreadful, totally attrocious 🤣got panned every week by Judges so public kept voting him in. Good dancers were eliminated & he eventually said enough is enough & left

This show is more about the banter than actually being correct so if you have the general idea award yourself a point. Max Mosely had a party/orgy it was this he had denied had a Nazi theme . Not the orgy itself but the fact the orgy was Nazi themed. Terminal five was the new terminal at Heathrow( Busiest airport in Europe) the baggage handling was not up to the task and people were delayed for hours

I don't know if anyone explained the Sarah Silverman/Matt Damon thing to you. You can probably find the song on RU-vid. But, basck then, Sarah Silverman was going out with Jimmy Kimmel (host of one of the late night shows) and he had a running gag on his show where he made up a feud with Matt Damon. Then, one day, Sarah went on Jimmy's show and said she had something to confess... and she played the song. It went viral.
