Yet he made no mention of how nice it is not to have to carry a gun.

This is a great vid to highlight the fact that you can do Sydney on the cheaper side, you just have to be smart and if you can do Sydney cheap, then you can do any part of Oz cheap lol. Those who complain about it being expensive usually book a hotel in the heart of the city, then choose to eat somewhere like Circular Quay or some other tourist trap. Those guys were plugged in, they worked it out very quickly and very successfully by the sounds :)

$20 days out in Sydney are awesome... friends and I often challenge each other on how to spend each other's money/time the most fun ways ... free music events , $1 slurpees $5 city transport ...it's just a fun game

We get lots of free public stuff in Oz coz we all pay taxes that cover the services Americans hate paying taxes so get nothing but basics from the government I know which way is better for the public

"Free" stuff and subsidised public transport is paid for by the Australian taxpayer. If that helps to offset the otherwise high cost of visiting Australia; well then, welcome. Hope you have a great visit. Just remember, It is a big place, so don't spend all your time sitting on a plane/train.automobile. Make a plan!

You only have to pay to see special exhibits at the Art Gallery of NSW or at the Australian Museum., which is currently hosting the Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs exhibition from Egypt. It’s almost sold out everyday. The permanent exhibits are free.

Also Public Transport is free around the CBD in many capital cities.

Except in Sydney. We did have a free bus around the CBD but that stopped several years ago, before they started building the light rail down George Street.

It's great to be reminded of what I take for granted daily living in Sydney.... although i would argue against the train system here being as wonderful as the video suggests - Id be more inclined to rave about the bus system - but that's neither here nor there.... also i was not aware we had adopted 'cashless' any earlier than the rest of the world so i learnt something there and i must admit to taking the fee events we always have had for granted

I went to the US in 2019 and NOT ONE place used pay and go!! It drove me insane as it had become so normal here. The main reason they didn't want pay and go was that they needed to charge the card for tips 😡

Pre pandemic, taking thr train to the cbd for work was nightmarish. And it was expensive.

The original video is a review of their time in Sydney... which is just one tiny fragment of Australia. Your video mistakenly or intentionally conflates Sydney with Australia, something that might be good to get Aussie viewers in but is not representative of the interests of travellers and falsely represents what life and time in Australia is really like. Many, nay MOST Sydney-siders are Sydney-stuck and don't know much about smaller towns, or the country at large. This has been getting more pronounced as the years go by. Content like this only serves to further the problem. I am from Sydney, and managed to escape a lifetime there, and couldn't be more happy. Most ex-Sydney siders feel the same way, once they break out of the bubble.. It's a bit of a shame really how so many there get to experience so little of their own country, and yet still believe it's the be all and end all - it's just not.

We still need our cash,. I and a lot of Aussies rely on it. Too many scams and secret fees using a credit or debit card. The rich get richer and the poorer get poorer. There is no privacy and security in our “modern world” We seem to be ripped off all the time. Totally ridiculous a

From a first time tourist’s perspective in any country, of course you want to see the iconic big land marks. Most, especially Americans, only have up to two weeks so “seeing Australia” is a tall ask. It’s different for those who come down here for 6-12 months to travel, but most of these tourist videos aren’t travellers but holiday makers.

the train line from the Airport is APPARENTLY owned by someone.. I did not know that living in Sydney!!! and it's very expensive to use it.. done it a lot!!! s I traveled a lot!!! to Brisbane, Melbourne, Tasmania, and the US, and a ton of other places.. I I have travelled the world.. and have a very dry kiwi opinion... er.. different opinion.. as I went with my ex wife... and it was very draining... now single.. and rather happy.. these guys are poofs.. so not interested.. poof = gay here.. not interested!!!!
