Most Filipino food stalls sell “pagpag”. The national dish of the Philippines is called "pagpag." It's made by refrying chicken bones that have been collected from the trash. Since many people in the Philippines are poor and lack education, a lot of them have to find discarded bones in restaurants, refry them, and eat them.

Philippines is a very poor and underdeveloped country. According to the world bank, 37% of the population still live in slums as of 2020. With a gdp per capita (PPP) of 11420 in 2023, which is only half of the world average of 22226, making it one of the poorest countries in the world. The national dish of the Philippines is called "pagpag." It's made by refrying chicken bones that have been collected from the trash. *I'm sooo glad you're in the Philippines!!! 😄 I always thought your Filipino food mukbangs were all for the views but now that you're here, I can see you really find the Philippines interesting. WELCOME!! Yes, it is different from what youre used to but it's beautiful if you know how to appreciate it. 😊 Maybe learn a few basic Tagalog words. People around here love it when foreigners can speak a word or two. They'll take care of you more, and even bring you to cool places. Just remember to bring cash cause digital payment isn't a widespread thing around here. Also, bring a Filipino friend when you go to sus places. It's nice overall but just like anywhere else on the planet, you cant trust everybody. Have fun!!*
