It’s not that NBA fans as a whole lack passion or aren’t fun. The issue is that ticket prices have gotten so expensive on average, that the arenas aren’t getting filled with the passionate average American fan. It’s upper-class boring af fans who are there to take pictures and show off on IG rather than actually having a real stake in the game. Also, I love that I found this channel. It’s been cool learning more specifics about the Euroleagues

I think would have been more lucrative for Kemba if he played in the French league more and not just the Euroleague. He would have had the chance to regain his form against not so tough opponents.

Maybe one thing that this channel could take from American media sensationalism, would be to interview fans after the (Euroleague) games. That would definitely capture emotions better than social media rants/posts. Yeah, language would be a slight barrier but im sure us 100k plus subscribers would be happy to help out ;)

I like the entire situation and I'm thrilled it happened for Kemba. He looks happy, content and relaxed. I believe a contributing factor to this is that he is valued here. They know his ins and outs and treat him respectfully, honestly and authentically. There seems to be an open and candid communication between the team and Kemba. There's a clear understanding of what each other needs and what and each party is able to deliver and do so as committed. There's no additional demands and unspoken and unrealistic expectations and because of this it allows the relationship to thrive and most likely to exceed expectations. He is valued and respected and feels welcome and wanted here. They see the man. The NBA treats you like a pawn, especially when you moving into the twilight of your career. They put unreasonable expectations on some players expecting them to deliver and cut you if you don't. The word dispensable does come close to what some players go through, being shunted from one team to the next. A 10 day contract here, maybe a two week contract next and expecting a player to perform at his best and can be disregarded if they cannot. A player can end up feeling devalued, disrespected and diminished, they don't see the man they see a tool to use as they desire and toss it when it can't deliver or has no further use for it. Here in Europe they recognise and see the man, the man with many attributes, attributes that they wish to incorporate into the team and this is how we can take care of each other. (Damn this got a bit long....)

Congrats on getting Kemba and keep on doing what you are doing! I only watch the NBA but drop in here now and again to get som takes on what is going on in Euroleauge. Maybe, just maybe I may watch a playoff game or two come spring :)

Years ago, when europe teams could only have 2 foreigners, it was usually one or both north american. Times have changed, imagine... Real Madrid has not a single american in his team! i had to double check it (is true that having same-country players is not a thing either due the burocracy and europe free citicen movement, globalization or whatever it is called). Well, same thing with Kaminsky, I was wondering why are they dragging in Partizan player with broken legs, but then on game vs Virtus he exploded, returned Partizan from deficite, served blocks left and right, and even shot last clutch 3-pointer for win with the buzzer... He missed it, but, hey, Željko put the whole game in his hands, so, if Željko thinks he is the guy, he is the guy and we gonna see more of Kamisky next year... Same as Kemba, he maybe is overloaded with injuries, but the relaxed schedual of games doesn't put pressure on them, they could give esential game impact in next couple of year still.

i will always remember the 2015-2016 Charlotte Hornets that was the Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lin Duo they were so exciting to watch even though they lost to the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.

All we need is for Giannis, Jokic, Luca and Embiid to make a move to the Euroleague 3 years from now...Can you imagine Joker and Bogdanovic returning to Serbia, Luka returning to Real, Antentokoubros re-uniting at Panathinaikos, Wagner Bros joining Bayern etc...?

The thing you may not hear too much in the comments (or maybe you did, I didn't scroll too far lol), is that most American NBA fans don't actually watch the NBA (and that's why they are surprised by "news" that players they've heard of aren't still in the league). They follow the game like a soap opera, consuming endless hours of talk shows, podcasts and social media content but never turning on a game, it's why the league had to push for a harder salary cap and why the next NBA television deal won't be as big as people think. Hell, if you polled 100 American self-proclaimed "NBA fans", I am sure that at least 20 of them wouldn't know who won the 'ship last year. That said much love to Kemba, he was never the same by the time he came to Boston (my hometown team), but he always handled himself like a true pro and a good dude. Thankfully he made a few hundred bucks over the years, he should be OK ;)

This isnt to hate on Kemba, but lets be realistic, its asking for a miracle to revitalize, and have longevity on name recognition alone. We should limit American player’s participation in Euroleague

The NBA is a joke nowadays. To me it resembles in many ways the indifferent league of the 70s with zero defenses and scores at the 140s, only with lot more money because people who have no idea what proper basketball is pay to watch.
