Nice video I just down loaded it for may A1200 and A500+. I shows you need to get the CD from them so updates can be done. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
Good news, this update. The Scala/Infochannel programs I like to use wouldn't work at all under 3.2 but according to my friend they now work under 3.2.1!
I just upgraded my A1200 to 3.2.1. If you have 1 ssd like me partitioned 3.9gig, 59gig, 65.1gig. Be careful. It killed my second partition. I'm now in the 8 hour process of salving my second partition which was formatted as pfs3. Oh the joy of 32 bit computing. Don't get me started.
not sure why they have to mess with the boot animation without a floppy/hd connected, seems silly, just leave the stuff as it was. Thanks for the info on all this Chris.
Just tried to use Remus to add the ehide device to the 3.2.1 Rom but Rom Split does not accept it anyway I fired a message over to Doobrey who did Remus and asked if he will add 3.2.1 ROM support to his software :)
@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration Now I see a link to hyperion (but itsn't clickable), thanks. I don't understand well talking in the video, english language isn't my native language.
So have you tried to install it on a 3.1.4 system? I am getting 3.2.1 for my A2000 TF536 system. I see from another YT channel that you need to install the CPU libs, but I don't see you install them on your A3000?
using GoADF when os3.2 supports ADF's out of the box via DAControl? you just have to double click the adf file to mount automagically and this update adds a menu entry to dismount them. Also a pity, even on Expert Install, the update trashes some libraries youd rather not like peters icon.library, its a shame it doesnt do what many do and ask/show before/after comparison and let you decide.
I've had to reinstall OS 3.2. Then in my confidence I installed 3.2.1 again, this time I left my scsi rom on when installing 3.2.1. Big mistake. The comuter crashes if the cd rom is off. Such a pain.
do you mean the device must be powered on if the cable is left in and no device powered? i have a yamaha external scsi cdrom on mine and it works fine powered on or off , cable in or out
@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration No, I have a blizzard 1260 50mhz with a 1230scsi board on top. My scsi cd rom needs to be connected and switched on or the computer crashes. Red guru. I tried disconnecting the cd rom but the computer won't boot without the cd rom connected and switched on.
Retropassion will not be responding to customer questions until January 4th. My question is do resellers retain serial number information for the AmigaOS sold? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.
@@disasterincarnate * unmount * not mount. I made an Arexx script that uses DAControl to easily unmount a disk image from Workbench (added to Tools menu), because you either had to use the shell or 3rd party program to do that before this update.
@@LeftoverBeefcake ah right, gotcha, i did a tool menu entry as well that just ran a script that DAControl unmounted everything as well, looks like its not needed now. i just wondered why arexx and not just a normal script, until recently i didnt even have rexxmast running.
Thanks for that video Chris. Update works so easy at yours.... Ive got an "STRING IS TO LONG" error when I start the update on my 1200 with 3.2 Anyone knows that problem?
3.2.1 there is it i thought it will be new release with new kickstart again take money. now eject menu taken from amikit. its like what was you installed yesterday is outdated tomorrow. when its final THIS is it 3.something final no more installs just work with it and do your things play games no need worry install yet again same what have from amikit
8:35 i have many reasons not buy 3.2 and update 3.2.1 if have bought 3.1.4. first reason there will be yet again next 3.3 and rom to buy..and will it be last take my money or then it will free fix not pay again new release lol still not even have 3.1.4 what ever i want do amiga ready LOL
1:59 its happen on new roms 3.1.4 to if have harddisc then there is no boot logo. nobody see it before. wait have not lol. is it funny you have paid money beta versions. and still need pay more if want this "and its not final"
To download it requires a seriel number that was on the plastic foil of Amiga OS 3.2 packing and i threw that out not knowing if it was needed for anything . I'm afraid it means no 3.2.1 support for now as I have to find out if my seller might have this serial number written down or i need to buy another Amiga OS 3.2 !!!! Hyperion Entertainment go to HELL!
I'm in the same boat as you. I just sent an email to Hyperion directly in hopes that they can 'add a license' to my existing account (I bought 3.1.4 from them directly, but 3.2 wasn't available digitally so I ordered from the EU the night it was out...) - provided picture to prove I actually *DID* buy it, roms and all. We'll see if they do the right thing. :( It would have been nice if they'd put the sticker on the plastic box instead of the disposable cellophane wrapper. :/ Clearly was an afterthought.
