It's was more life and light because these were better class of gangstas. Because they had real skills and talented. It's dark now and no life cause it's weaker gangsta because they lack skills and talent
BadHabit she works at Macy’s get it right. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Amil is beautiful, smart and talented, glad she got out of the wicked music industry.
Izzy Blaze she got dropped/blackballed because of her song “quarrels”, she exposed some of the industry in that song. Fuck are you talking about? Fame isn’t everything.
Actually he laid it out 4 years before that in 1996 when he said “Fortune 5, top 5 in the Forbes (you'll see) As you thumb through The Source, I read the Robb Report”
I remember when Jay said, "Rocawear 80 mill in like 18 months, you can bullshit with rap if you want"...I swear, back then I knew shit got real. Jay just took off
That was early year 2000, I saw the progression with big pimpin n hey papi in '99. I was already copping rocawear n when j said, " What y'all bout to witness is big business kid", I knew it was on! I saw how he jumped 2 100mill so quickly after rocawear. He was onto something EARLY!
Amil don’t get the respect she deserve💯 She didn’t sell her soul she a real 1 she had so much potential and not too many people can say they got a hit with Jay Z and Beyoncé 😉
When I first heard Jays line "Y'all truly ain't ready for this Dynasty thing, y'all thinking Blake Carrington I'm thinking more like Ming" that let me know he was on another level with shit all the way around the board... (He says y'all thinking Blake Carrington from show Dynasty that used to come on tv, but instead he's thinking like the Ming Dynasty of China which led for damn near 300yrs).... that line let me know back in the day Jay was a force to be reckoned with
@@BijinMCMXC he was actually pushing the successful album just playing with words so its somewhere listed with hip hop classics.. If u dont know.. Everyone knows jay but who r u?
Jay Got The Entrepreneur Boss Bars Amil Got The Voice and Face Beanie Straight Up Grimey And Memphis Bleek opened up with That Hood Street Cockiness I Miss Real Hop Hop Team Dynasties!
This was 20 years ago? Jay-Z said in this video 2:53 ...plus am havin a child which is more frightening...so...how come he ain't claimin no kids except the ones with Beyonce? He ain't got no kids with Beyonce 19 years old.
This younger generation don't have a clue about what they missed!!! Old school Hip hop like this doesn't have a expiration date...Sexy ass Amil cold Repped Female artist...#oldschoolhiphop4life 🎯💯
This track is legendary. Hov went in on his verse. Pretty much said what he was gonna do, and did it. I think he already had the industry figured out at this point.
This is back when Rappers didn't feel that they had to explain the metaphor to the Listener. I hate when "Rappers" of today actually drop a dope metaphor, and then turn around and explain it in the next line. Yeah, there's still some of us with the capacity to get it. Jay's entire verse was a gigantic metaphor, where he's telling you what he's about to do, and look, 21 years later, he did it all.
I can't even begin to explain how this track and era makes me feel growing up in NYC during these times... Those who knows will feel me without even me have to say anymore! Memories
This beat is the reason I wanted to make beats. Aside from the song, this beat was so underrated but is one of the best I ever heard. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
