Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, the Two Peoples of God doctrine of modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.

You are misconstruing the church which is "the mystery" with the times and seasons of prophecy as it relates to Israel. The church is not in Daniel's 70th week which is for "thy people (Jews) and thy holy city (Jerusalem). The church will escape God's wrath and the tribulation by rapture pretrib.

It does make sense that the 1000 year Reign is BOTH Literal & Symbolic! The Spirit of God lives within His people...so where we are, So is the Kingdom of God. And so long as the Church is living on this planet earth, So is Christ's reign! We are His hands & Feet on Earth.

Wow I didn't realize Amillennialists were considered Anti-Semitic. In my own reading of Scripture, I started to drift away from Dispensationalism and over to what I'm learning is Amillennialism. I started questioning why the US supports Israel sooo blindly. Those Jews need Jesus in order to be saved. It doesn't mean I'm Anti-Jew, it means that there is no difference between Jew or Gentile. It doesn't make sense that if Revelation describes earth Being destroyed and a New Earth was coming down....why would God care about Real Estate? What if the borders of that country expand into Lebanon & Egypt- do the Lebanese & Egyptians get thrown in there as "God's Chosen People?" I believe they were chosen and God will redeem Jews by sealing the 144,000 ETHNIC Jews. I mean, Revelation lists the Family line.... Notice, these 144,000 are tied by DNA and not by Address! The Jews still reject Messiah and are throwing Pride Parades in that country. That country is not the New Covenant "Israel." I do hold to the belief that the Church is the Spiritual Israel in the New Covenant. We are Spiritual Jews. But God doesn't stop pursuing Ethnic Jews. I do support Jews having their own land....but Christians are turning a blind eye to their Sin.

Jessi have you ever considered that the 144k could have been the number of dna Jews who turned to Christ before 70 AD. Act 2:41 KJV - Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls. 3k souls is a very fruitful day preaching the gospel, it seems to me it is at least possible with 30 - 40 years to preach the gospel, the apostles could have helped to convert another 141k. Also... We are God's Chosen people, we who believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus told his disciples in John: I chose you out of this world, you did not chose me. I chose you. You didn't decide one day to be a Christian all on your own, no the Holy Spirit of God convicted you of sin and convinced you of your need for Jesus Christ. In other words God chose you out of the world.

@REM Do some more research. Darby is the one who created and attempt to spend dispensationalism in 1832 in England and was largely rejected and denounced by Spurgeon. Scofield was paid large sums of money to create his study Bible then give them away to Bible colleges preparing for a pastoral ministry. The questions we have to ask is, why was dispensationalism rejected everywhere but the US? Why is it that conservstive churches reject false prophesies from people who say "I met the Lord in a dream and said so and so" but when a young girl told Darby that Christians would experience a pre-trib rapture because Jesus told her in a dream, and then he includes that point in his theological system it is accepted and defended?

This is why he is amillenial. Post mill's belief thinks that things will get better. But in what way? Only way things have improved are through the spreading of the gospel. With technology and translations for every language, the gospel can be shared to everyone. Thats the improvement. But what hasn't been improving is our morals. Morals have been on the decline since adam and eve ate the fruit. America and Europe have fully adopted secularism, and "Christians" are turning away from God fast. The youth who were raised up in churches and Godly homes, go to the universities and end up leaving the faith. They are taught about evolution and other athiestic talking points that get them to leave the faith. Or...they want to live life their own way and don't want to give up their idols and sin that they love. Being a christian is not easy. Giving up porn, lust, idolatry, and being obedient to God's commandments is extremely difficult and can only be done with the help of the Holy spirit. But yeah things might get better as far as furthering the Gospel...which is a sign of Christ's return being soon. But morally, we are on a major decline. Judgement will be soon

Your reasons for not being post-mill are basically because your pessimistic, but your reasons should come from the text. Also, to say morals have declined is to know very little about ancient polytheistic cultures like Egypt, Canaan, Corinth, Rome, etc. Christianity is growing faster today than at any time in history. And secularists basically don't have children. Their ideas can't last forever. Postmillennialism has a view of history that can include ups and downs, and the story of our world could last another 40,000 years for all we know. So it's kind of short-sighted just to look around, see bad ideas getting popular, and just conclude your eschatology. I'm not sure what I believe yet, but these aren't real reasons to disbelieve postmillennialism.

Partial preterism falls into orthodoxy. Full preterism is not only a clear heresy, but its easily disproved by a quick visit to a cemetery. The dead are still in their graves therefore the judgment hasn't happened yet. Such theories lead to liberalism. If Christ physically rose from the dead,then the saints will physically rise from the dead and that hasn't happened yet and to believe any different is heresy there's no other word for it.
@BatMite19
@BatMite19 4 года назад
@@owensterry29 Amen. The resurrection of the dead will be physical. Both the saved and the unsaved will be resurrected with their physical bodies to face judgment. I believe that Revelation is speaking about the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70, but then the new heavens and new earth come down. These are the church; but like so much of prophecy, there is an "already" and a "not yet." The New Jerusalem is the church already, but it will receive its final fulfillment in the restored paradise of the physically resurrected saints (not yet).

If Revelation 9:16-17 is literally true, as many of the premill dispensationalists say, then they have a problem. This passage requires 200 million horses. There are currently only about 60 million horses in the world. Instead of being focused on rebuilding a third Jewish Temple, they need to give that up and then start breeding horses. By my calculation, they need about 140 million more horses before Jesus can come back.

I have Anthony Hoekema's book The Bible and the Future. I really enjoyed and agreed with everything he said in the first 6 chapters, but chapter 7 pages 79 to 80 he showed his true liberal colors.He was like a lot of people who have fell for the idea that death already existed before the fall.He said that science had proven that the dinosaurs were extinct before God created Adam and Eve.In other words he believed in using atheistic science to interpret the Bible rather than using the Bible to interpret science/paleontology.I wonder if he believed a literal worldwide flood because he didn't mention a word about it. Instead of studying the evidence, he chose to take a liberal interpretation of Genesis chapter 1 while completely ignoring Genesis chapters 6-8.Im continuing with my reading, but Im keeping in mind to take anything he says with a grain of salt. To place death ( animal or human) in this world before Adam fell is a clear heresy. It's little wonder that our premillenial/dispensational brethren call Amillenialist liberals. How can you help not think that when you have a respected Bible teacher and author take such a low view of scripture?And it's not only him,but he put a quotation in his book from the Christlijke Encyclopedie.I respect Dr Kim Riddlebarger,but I cannot understand how he or any student of the Bible and science can reference anything or quote him in defense of Amillenialism or any other biblical doctrine. It really doesn't speak well for the doctrine when the majority of those who hold to it are liberals who interpret the Bible in such a worldly manner. I consider myself to be an Amillenialist. I believe in one second coming of Christ I believe that there's going to be one resurrection of the saints and the damned. I believe that the thousand years is a present reality. However I believe that the dinosaurs and humans lived on this planet at the same time. To believe that the dinosaurs existed and became extinct before Adam and Eve were created puts death before sin and that's not only liberal,,,its downright heresy. I don't like to speak evil about the dead,,,,but since Dr Riddlebarger does reference Anthony Hoekema throughout this series, it's something that really needs to be addressed.

They believe Jesus is referring to His coming in Judgement of Jerusalem in AD70, not his 2nd coming. They believe that Christ’s resurrection fundamentally changed the course of humanity in the opposite way Adam did; that post-Christ, because He HAS won, He will provide through His church by the Holy Spirit a radical deliverance of humanity that will play out over time with the maturing of the Body

@@stevenhenry1625 At least some Amillennialists believe that the Christians who have died are ruling with Christ from Heaven. This takes place during the time between Christ’s First and Second Comings. They believe Satan is bound. Here is a major problem with that; If we just take a simple look at the world today it certainly does not appear that Satan is bound (so as not to deceive the nations) and Christ is ruling and reigning. If Satan is bound during the Church Age as per Amillennial doctrine, then why does scripture call him the god of this world? Also, if Satan was bound and Christ was reigning, do we really think we would have over a billion Muslims, who view Jesus as a prophet right below Mohamad, a billion Buddhists, who believe Jesus was an enlightened person, a billion Hindus, who believe Jesus studied yoga and became a guru to the Jews, a billion Catholics who are entrusting their souls to Mary at the hour of their death, nearly a billion atheists, the LGBTQ running rampant, TV shows and movies, that continually blaspheme God and His Christ, drinking, drugs, human trafficking, and colleges that have become propaganda mills that promote Godless, Big-bang theology and Darwinian Evolution, and a host of other sinful deeds that will be eliminated during the reign of Jesus Christ, our Holy God. This is a good example of eisegesis; reading pre-conceived ideas into the text, rather than simply reading what the text is clearly stating. Also, with Christ ruling from Heaven, why does 2nd Timothy 3:1-13 say, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."

Revelation 20: Does your interpretation agree with all other scripture? (Chronological or Recapitulation?) (Literal vs. Figurative?) Based on the following scripture, will immortals and mortals both live on earth for 1,000 years after the Second Coming of Christ? Will there be renewed animal sacrifices in earthly Jerusalem for 1,000 years after the Second Coming of Christ? Will Christ conduct funeral services for mortals killed in accidents many years after His Second Coming? Graveyards needed? Can the following questions be examined without ridicule, and condemnation, based on the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and found fulfilled in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and Hebrews 12:18-24? Can the number 1,000 be used in a symbolic manner? Psalm 50:10 Does an angel with a key come from heaven and open the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2? Why did the angel have to unlock the pit if it was not locked previously? Who is the king of the angels in the bottomless pit found in Revelation 9:11? Are some of the angels “bound” in some manner in Revelation 9:14? If the beast comes up out of the pit in Revelation 11:7, where is the beast before then? John sees “souls” at the beginning of Revelation chapter 20. Are these the same “souls” found in Revelation 6:9-11? Is the “first resurrection” in Revelation 20:5 the first bodily resurrection in the Book of Revelation? (Rev. 11:11) Are there two different types of resurrections in John chapter 5? John 5:24 (Spiritual) ? Were you dead, and now you are alive? John 5:27-30 Christ describes the bodily resurrection and “hour” of judgment of “all” the dead. Who is the “strong man” who is bound in Matthew 12:26-29? How is Satan “bound” in Revelation 20:3? How many mortals are left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46? Isaiah 65:17-25? Are people really dying in verse 20? Context, Context, Context… Was Paul expecting Christ to return "in flaming fire", taking vengeance on those who do not know God in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10? How would mortals survive this fire? Does the fire come at the end of Revelation 20? Did Paul expect both the living and the dead to be judged at the appearing of Christ, in 2 Timothy 4:1? When is the judgment of the dead in Revelation 20? Is it the same judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:18? What is the restitution of all things at the return of Christ in Acts 3:20-21? Will Christ's sacrifice at Calvary also reverse the curse, at His return? Does death die at the last trumpet in 1 Corinthians 15:50-55? Why did Jesus correct the woman at the well when she said earthly Jerusalem was the place to worship? See John 4:20-24. Why did Paul say the Jerusalem above is our “mother” in Galatians 4:24-31? What is the inheritance of the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16? Is the third temple found in 1 Peter 2:4-10? Is this temple just as real as a temple made of earthly stones? What was Peter expecting on the day of the Lord when He comes as a thief in 2 Peter 3:10-13? Do we find the judgment of both the living and the dead at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, in Revelation 11:15-18? Why do most preachers ignore the time of the judgment of the dead, with reward for some, and destruction for others in Revelation 11:18? What does it prove about the chronology of the Book of Revelation? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Is there a correlation between Revelation 20 and earlier passages in the Book of Revelation? Is Revelation chapter 20 another example of “Recapitulation”? Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. Rev_18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Judgment Before the Great White Throne. Rev_19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. Satan bound from deceiving the nations is the restraint of his work of deception that leads to blindness, unbelief, idolatry and prevent faith in the nations. Thus satan bound means, the nations can come to the light and experience the deliverance of the servant of God who came to set the captives free. Hence Satan bound is salvation to the elect in the nations by the good news .
@chaddonal4331
@chaddonal4331 2 года назад
This seems to also work hand in hand with the "expansion" (not replacement, nor distinction) of the people of God from largely those within the Judean community to the inclusion of all nations of the world. It seems that previously, Satan had been able to effectively bind all the nations apart from Israel.
@martin.asare33
@martin.asare33 2 года назад
@@chaddonal4331 correct. By the old covenant Isreal were given a provisional deliverance from his blinding which was a part of the curses of the law. Their blinding is only conditional . So that if they obey God they will not know the curses and will not be carried away and given to serve other idols which is the blindness of satan upon the nations. Hence having an atonment they were preserved and where God's kingdom among whom he dwelt, this provision by the law covenant was given until cjrist brought through forgiveness to remove the curse and bring into Abraham's true blessing. Hence when christ came and brought atonement to defeat Satan the accuser who was also the executioner, God salvation came to the nations. So that now the nations can come from satan's kingdom into God's kingdom to be his people . However jews rebelled against the christ hence the partial hardening and blindness which was unbelief was given to them .this is why now as the fullness of the gentiles is progressing to and end, the Jewish people are largely under the blindess and deception of satan. This is why the millenium is the time of the salvation of the gentiles. Satan released will bring about the beast and this will result in the jews coming to faith on the time of the tribulation until the 2nd coming when their fullness comes in to complete the olive tree .

The binding of Satan in Rev. 20 so he "cannot deceive the nations any longer" corresponds to ch. 13 where Satan (the dragon) empowers the beast (Roman Empire) in order to persecute the Christians in a worldwide effort (Rev. 13:1-7). In ch. 20 for a thousand years Satan is prohibited from empowering the nations, like he did with the Roman Empire (beast), to persecute Christians. After the thousand years are over, Satan is released for a short while to round up the nations once again, in order to organize a worldwide effort to persecute Christians like he did in the past (Rev. 20:7-10). While he does succeed in surrounding the city, the New Jerusalem (church), before he can begin persecuting Christians again, Jesus intervenes and ushers in the final judgment of all humanity.

The initial Church Fathers (From 1st to 4th Century) were all Amillennialists. Eternity has been increasing in the hearts (hidden) of Christian believers through the presence of Christ in us. At the end of the 6,000 years, eternity will manifest. 1,000 years (metaphorical number) means an indefinite increase of the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth. Once "eternity" is released or takes over the earth, there will be NO turning back to a lesser or partially holy and semi-sinful world. Eternity will be here to stay. This is the main difference between Premillennialism (Chilialism), Post-Millennialism, and Preterism (they are way off the mark).

Wow... Uh... Actually, for the first 3 centuries prior to Augustine, most ECFs held to a form of premillennialism. See Ladd as the expert on this, and his view of Historic Pre-Mil, following those ECFs and this once dominant view. Understand that HPM was never Dispensational. Also and ironically, the 6000 year age of the earth prior to the 1000 year reign of Christ was popularized by CI Scofield -- a notorious Classic Dispensationalist. So, your conflating of disparate theological teachings is... unusual.

Those early Christians who believed in Chiliasm did so because this was Jewish eschatology. Jesus, however, repudiated this in Luke 17:20-21 when he said that the kingdom was not political as the Jews believed but was indeed spiritual. They tried to forcibly make Jesus King, but He refused. He said to Pilate, "My kingdom is not of this world." Clearly Jesus did not accept the prevailing Jewish eschatology, that the Messiah was to establish a political kingdom.

And whether his return is in 2 stages or a single stage. If the relevant passages we're entirely straightforward, perhaps interpretation would not be needed and everyone would simply agree. 25 minutes later, verses? Predestination will solve all students problems.... the death knell of Dispensationalism is inter alia located in the 1917 Scofield "Bible" at Scofield's commentary on John 1:17, to wit: "...As a dispensation, grace begins with the death and resurrection of Christ ... The point of testing is no longer legal obedience as the condition of salvation, but acceptance or rejection of Christ..." but what does God say in Romans 4:8 "...for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness..." hence Abraham was saved by the grace of God through the faith of Jesus Christ [Romans 3:22 LXX] - for the Law was not only given to Moses AFTER Abraham's death [except if you take the 1st law as obedience to God, Gen 2:16&17] but alas there is no salvation but through Jesus Christ - Acts 4:12. And we all know Abe was a sinner; lying and scheming.

Although I believe that any reference to a Resurrection, is literal. Jesus resurrected into a new body. But it's very interesting that this School of Thought uses "Resurrection" as upon the earthly body dying, we are immediately taken into heaven. Different from what the Seventh Day Adventists believe..... Very interesting 🤔

Also.... When John the Beloved died and that little girl died....they were not immediately Resurrected..... So if the argument that Resurrection means going to Heaven, then what happened to John the Beloved and the Little Girl (Talitha)? 🤔 This makes me think that the SDA theory makes more sense...when we die, we "sleep" until the Resurrection. Because we are going to celebrate! There will be a feast! There needs to be a Consummation of the Bride & Christ.... It is an event.... The Amillennial view seems to suggest that Everytime a believer dies, there is a continual feast and perhaps, each believer is consummated with Christ upon entering Heaven? Do we go to heaven? Why would there be a NEW Heaven?

Love this video !!! Many scriptures including the book of Revelation mentions the dragon many time. Rev 12:9 The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. So we know Satan is Satan. Satan or the devil = The Dragon So, in Ezekiel, we find The Dragon is Egypt. Ezekiel 29:3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. The Dragon is Egypt and the The Dragon is also Satan, therefore Egypt is Satan. So basically, anytime it is talking about Satan deceiving the nations, it is talking about Egypt deceiving the nations. When you do research on Egypt, it generally is talking about a fraternal order of men (a fraternity) that exists on many waters. An international fraternity it generally is talking about. Also, generally, Egypt refers to men, not fallen angels. I definitely agree with this interpretation that the millennial kingdom is now. There is another verse, where it says, He must Reign until He hands everything over to The Father. The definitely implies now. Thanks for the upload. This was well explained. I am going to have to buy some of the books talked about in this video. God bless everyone !!!

Soul sleep is a minor issue. Watch out for the Seventh Day Adventists. They don't fully understand the Gospel. We are saved by God's good Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone. The sda are synergists, they think that we contribute to our Salvation. This is not Biblical. Read Ephesians 2:1-10. Also, the sda are legalists, they borrow some of the Old Testament laws, and insist upon following them. In Galatians Paul anathamatized the those who insisted that to be a Christian a man had to be circumcised, that was only one of the laws, and Paul cursed them to Hell. Even himself, or an Angel if he preached another Gospel. Christ fulfilled the Old Covenant Law. On the Cross, among His very last words were "It is finished." Mark records that the Veil in the Temple was torn in two during an earthquake at Christ's death.

Amillennialism disconnects words from their meanings and allegorizes clear and succinct passages of Scripture, like Revelation 20. Ezekiel 40 onward describes the beginning of the millennial reign, but the amillennialist would have to spiritualize and allegorize detailed descriptions of the millennial temple, as if cubit and reed measurements have some deep, spiritual meaning. Why not rather take the position that God said what He meant and meant what He said, that there will be a 1,000 year reign of Jesus in Jerusalem, as multiple OT passages state He will rule from Zion? I agree dispensationalism is bad doctrine, but so is amillennialism.
