One thing about opera, you need to put in some emotions into the music. This is what I like about Amira over other children. She not only sings beautifully, she adds the emotions. I understand that her brother and parents would translate the Italian to Dutch to help Amira understand the piece. I shall leave you with this. The last part translates I Shall Win, I shall win. Win she did and after winning with adrenalin going through and asked to sing it again and does even better.

She was 1 of 5 finalists and she got more than 50% of the total votes! Her first performance (the audition) she sang 'O mio babino caro'. She won the Golden Ticket which brought her directly into the Semi Finals, in which she amazed everyone with 'Avé Maria'.

Amira is an angel. The only reaction videos I watch are for her. Hardly anyone ever mentions how beautiful she is, I don't know why. Watch the video of her singing Caruso in a music store, in jeans instead of an elaborate gown. She's just as amazing as on stage.

You may look at Amira performing Amazing Grace 2017 and Follow Your Heart. Both are very good. Follow Your Heart also has her Father performing with her.

Just 9 years old at this performance. Just can't imagine after all this time, I still get chills. Keep with her. Keep bringing Amira performances.

Yep, the inside mouth, lips and air control .All the shapes etc make the sounds besides just the vocal cords. She is a lovely young gal

How these kind of shows work, they absolutely knew she was a winner ;) So, yeah....no costs were cut. They put all their bets on her and this performance was very much intended to blow everyone away. Which they knew she would :) Obviously she had a little bit help to prepare with the choir and be ready to work with the fireworks and raise her arms at the right time. Which to her credit, she did it all perfectly!

I can imagine that even Pavarotti`s goose bumps would have had goose bumps.

Also, please don’t forget the other Ave Maria ( by Gomez at the Canisius Church) when Amira was 11. This is a different song altogether to the duet you reacted to. Watch the one with Andre Rieu and O Mio Babbino Caro. And the one with Patrizio. And the one .... Hell watch them all and be blown away. I was and still am every time I watch her. Just incredible little girl and young lady as she is 18 at present.

Her audition piece was O mio babbino caro, and her semi final was an Ave Maria. I can't remember which of these you have reviewed. The audition video has one labelled For English speaking viewers. That's worth watching as her chat with the jury, both before and after the song is very entertaining. During the audition, she waved her arms around like a windmill,, ao the camera held a close up for most of the performance. I think she was told to hold still for subsequent performance's, which she did. It looks better. She is wiggling her ears too, but you can't tell under all that hair. Keep em coming Sammy.
