I love my grandma and this is one of the reasons why I will always trust her for the rest of my life.

My grandma Mary was just like this grandma, always let me do things my parents wouldn’t. On my 13th birthday, she bought me a Powell Peralta Skull & Sword skateboard. Because of her I skateboarded for 38 years. R.I.P. Grandma Marry, who was literally the little old lady from Pasadena 🙏🏽👵🏼

I'm glad the grandma let these girls get a chance to experience something that they otherwise would have never known existed! It was especially good for the girl who was having panic attacks! Parasailing is definitely a freeing & beautiful experience!

This brought tears to my eyes. We all have limitations in our life that in some way or other hold us back from "playing on the beach". I'm so happy for these girls AND granma to have this day together! I'm pretty sure NO God would mind!

These 2 girls are adorable. They just look and experience everything with such joy and innocence.

Grandma was a trailblazer herself and knows just what these girls are going through. I felt bad when I saw the show when they tried to leave but didn’t have a photo ID to board a plane. I wish them the best in life, and I can only imagine how tough it is to leave a lifestyle they’ve always only known.

As someone who grew on an island, I have the ocean granted. It is always amazing when people see it for the first time. In my case, I still do not see snow in person yet, so I think it will be a similar experience for me.

This is the most wonderful thing to watch happen. They are experiencing the things we all take for granted. At one point the ocean was the same for me but I forgot how cool it is cause I would go there every day. It got old. These two adorable girls reminded me of the things I take for granted and to be more appreciative of what I have.

i think a lot of people think parasailing is a very intense and thrilling experience, which it can be if you really work yourself up but if you don’t and you stay calm, it’s actually really really peaceful. it’s super quiet up there, you can see everything the light touches, and overall one of the most relaxing things i’ve personally ever done. definitely would recommend, plus you might see some dolphins!

When the guy made the cant let you go any higher because of airplanes joke, they looked genuinely terrified

I'm so glad they could make a chosen family where they are. They were so worried about not having any support when they made their decision to leave, so it's very heartwarming to see them have such an amazing community nearby!

I am a sixty year old gay man and I just cried when I saw the two of you see the ocean for the first time. "This is the most beautiful day of my life," one of you said. I'm still crying. I see so much beauty in being Amish and I see so much beauty in experiencing life beyond being Amish. I agree with the one of you who said you'd prefer the peace of an out house rather than the "robot" toilets that flush the moment you stand up, sometimes even before you sit down! I love the images of the canned peaches and other homemade canned goods. One can admire the simplicity of the Amish while also admiring the beauty of modern conveniences and life. I cried again when the two of you went up in the parasol flying over the ocean and I just know that your grandma, your dear, dear grandma is going to get a big hug from Jesus when she makes her way into the next realm. She wanted you to "feel closer to God" by experiencing more of life than you had been allowed to. Bless your grandma, girls! And bless you two! 🙂
