Usually Amit Trivedi is compared with A. R. Rahman but I would not go with that approach. Rather i would put it like this. When Rahman came into the industry, he brought sounds that were unheard of and it was unique and the same uniqueness was given by Amit Trivedi when he composed his 1st album of DevD and in his later projects. He is a very underrated and immensely talented composer from India.

Fifth song (sound of gujarat) is a type of song called Shehenayi, which they sing at weddings Sixth song (sound of south) was a tamil movie song I think? Seventh song (sound of punjab) is from the movie Queen which you need to watch! Last song is from Udta Punjab!!!! And if you finish the video he finishes with a song from the film Dear Zindagi (zindagi means life) (starring SRK and Alia) which is about how to love life!! One of my favorite award show segments of all time!!!!!!
