Older version was much better. New version looks more like a bollywood fashion show

The old version is legendary. The new one focused so much on the star people showing , they didn't concentrate on the song , neither was different regions of India was shown properly.

The original version brings tears to my eyes, the new version brings tears from my ears.

ugh the new version was such a cringefest expect for the last minute with the athletes and the soldiers, I had to rewatch the old version to cleanse my ears! Meanwhile I bawled my eyes out watching the old one..

Why so many actors in the latest version, do they represent culture. They not even represented real artists other than few artist like Shaan, sonu and Shreya. And why only Ambani and not legendary ratan sir? Karan Johar really? I glad didn't knew this version existed but now I am frustrated

I had put off listening to the new version and my fears have been confirmed! The old version had sports stars (all kinds not just cricket prakash padukone deepika's dad was in the kannada section i think), film stars, noted music maestros and common people. And I cannot but shed a tear at the end when the kids come together and form the flag!

The older version is a true representation of India as a country. Actual people from different states feature, making it a wholesome representation. The newer version is more like "India = Film actors + a bunch of other people".

Man !! Sometimes I really feel like crying.. remembering my childhood. Being a 90's person ..this brought back so many memories. There was no internet..no social media..no big TV screens..no multiplexes...no tower like buildings...yet we were happier. No chaos. There were huge fields to run around...huge gardens.... Almost every household had a garden with mango trees..guava trees. We knew every family in the neighborhood. Whenever we made some special cuisines we used to distribute in the neighborhood. We weren't that urbanised..but somehow there was more peace and comfort.

Don't stress, "one lifetime is not enough to know it all about India, even for a dedicated Indian scholar." 😊

This older clip brought me back so many childhood memories. Those were the best days of the 90's era and can never be brought back. People back then understood each other and celebrated each other culture and religion. People back then gave importance to humanity with out judging each other on the basis their religion. An open minded very liberal and progressive nation. Don't believe me watch the 90's shows and. Today's shows. You will see the difference. Still don't believe me??? Watch the news and the debates people are fighting like animsl on national TV. Back in those there was a profession called as "Journalism " . Now, the opposite. This is my first time watching the new version and I absolutely hate it. The music is not at all in sync and feels broken up. This version should be deleted from our memories. I can't even describe how much I loathe this.
