Efficient Ammo can wood stove with interior baffle to create more complete burn and better heat transfer from the stove to the surrounding. Heat does not automatically go straight up the chimney. Making coffee at -40C - Check out the links for gear in the video!

Love this. I'm disabled and about to lose my housing grant so a friend Kent me the money to buy a 2000 Chevy express box truck fire truck. ( Yes the red lights and sirens works perfect hehehe ) But I am looking to have a back up heat source and this is the best video I have seen so far.

This is one of the neatest Ammunition Can Stove build that I've seen! The use of muffler pipe adapters was great thinking, as was your damper construction (especially with the installed spring). The baffle and grate were likewise excellent ideas which improve the stove efficiency and longevity. In short, every aspect of your build was efficient, practical and neat. Very, very impressive, and a good tutorial, too! I'm very pleased to have found your channel and to have subscribed.

Definitely one of the cleanest, well assembled versions I’ve seen. And I’ve seen LOTS. One of these days, like you, I’ll get around to tackling my own 50mm can just sitting there waiting on me. For those not aware, it very important to burn these out first BEFORE using inside an tent or closed in area. Especially is using galvanized attachments. My only 2 thoughts on this one.. a chimney should be long enough to extend above a tent.. looks like more pipe needed, which is why 2 inch pipe would be better and can fit more in the can. The second thing would be a spark arrestor on the top. Those can be bought cheap enough rather than screwing around with DIY. A properly designed one keep the top of your tent, safe, and the woods as well. Oh, I almost forgot, this is the only version I have noticed when someone thought out-of-the-box enough to re-incorporate that handle. I thought that was really clever the way you did that! Very nice job on this one 😉

Thanks for the compliments, I know there are lots of versions out there and just wanted to build a better version. Great input on the pre-burn, pipe and spark arrestor

@@mattsgaragediy Thanks for the reply. Ship it on a really slow boat - probably cheaper that way : )

@@JamesEnTennessee Lol, yep. I have added a link in my video description to a stove that is similar and commercially available. You can find it in the the description. Not cheap, but looks well made, I figure if I had to buy each piece and part for mine rather then using what I had on hand it would have cost about $100 US
