Great tip about holding the top of the stitches on the multiple trebles. I’ve always struggled with the top of my stitch getting bigger, so I’m delighted I now know how to control that. Thank you.

I just finished mine and I thank you so so much for the video. It helped a ton. I'm a beginner and reading patterns isn't the easiest for me yet and so I relied on the video a lot! The only downside is that I just received new crochet hooks and the spacing doesn't work for them. Well that just means I need to make another one 🙂

Just some personal notes to help me :) Row 1 1:25 ch 51, place s stitch marker on 51, continue to total 102 ch. dc on 4th ch from hook and continue dc in every st, leaving st marker where it is.

I did two attempts of making this... no success. Third time around I got it right 🤣I can say I'm really happy with my results! I might even make this again 🤣 P.s I have to say I REALLY LOVE this pattern. It's a bit difficult to follow at first, I had trouble on the end side where the pocket is. I had to really overlook what she was doing in the video to understand. But now I got the hang of it 🤣

Wonderful tutorial but I wish there was a printable pattern even if it wasn't free. Good to have a printed pattern to follow when I can't easily watch the tutorial.

Wow this worked up so nice for me! I wasn't sure what weight yarn you used. I looked up the brand and name you gave but found more than 1 weight that used this name. It looks like you're using baby or sport yarn (3). I didn't notice anything different when I made mine with worsted weight (4) yarn. Mine does seem to be stiffer than yours but like I said it worked up quite nicely. I've never even heard of the crab stitch and I've been crocheting for over 45 yrs. I wonder if there's another name for it? Now that I've made this without any difficulty I'll be making another for my 9 yr old granddaughter who has just started to learn how to crochet. I'll be getting her a nice set of hooks to put in it and give it to her as a Christmas present. Thanks so much for taking the time to show how this is made. You're a great teacher. Even though I've been crocheting for a very long time I've never really made much more than afghans and baby blankets. Now that I've discovered all the how-to videos on youtube I've been making lots of other items like slippers, mittens and hats. I've also discovered that there's a lot of stitches I hadn't heard of before. Unfortunately I never learned how to read a pattern but with the help of this kind of video I'm now learning. I made this as one of my very forst crochet projects. Im still using it. I absolutely love it! Ive been wondering how i could go about making the roll wider in krder to hold more hooks. And lso how to possibly make some of the pockets bigger for bigger hooks. Im planning to make another one since I seem to have collected so many hooks. 😂 Maybe i can yry to alter/adjust my nee one to better fit my needs. I have increased the length of the roll by three slots (using your formula of adding 8 chain stitches per pocket), and it worked out great. But three of my hooks are 7 inches tall while the other 12 are 5 1/2" tall, so I need to increase the height of the roll by at least 2 inches. I just finished row ten, do I need to add another repeat of rows 3 and 4 before I begin row 11, and then do additional rows for Row 13-19, to increase the height of the roll? My project is on hold until I get my beads from Amazon. I love your video! You are a great instructor. Thank you so much for all the work you put into making this video.
