I was recommended to this Progressive music band back in 1972 by the owner of record store on High Street around the Ohio State campus. I am now 70 years old and still enjoy them thoroughly. Incredible group of musicians. I reminisce about my days when I was 20 years old and would spend hours and different record stores filing through album covers and getting background from the owners about particular groups, and learning which FM stations would promote this type of music✌
Amon Duul ll is awesome . I listened to all of Frank Zappa's, Miles Davis's , David Bowies, CANs and Jimi Hendrix stuff . Amon Duul ll is intellectual stoner music but drug free freaky people will also enjoy it .
Hearing flesh colored anti aircraft alarm live is amazing, even having gulp a sonata before it is awesome! That song has to be one of the most psychedelic pieces ever made, their best song!
Cette version filmée par Pop2 est la meilleure tant au niveau son qu'interprétation. 71-72 c'est vraiment leur age d'or ! Géniaux et déments à la fois !
I first heard this band when I was around 8 or 9 years old. This is my favourite ever band. I am now approaching my 60's. I can name everyone in this performance.
Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
Thanks mate. I hadn't heard that Chris had gone 😢 That is Weinzierl singing. I had to edit this answer as I read your comment without looking at the video again. Definitely John Weinzierl
Syntelman`s March Of The Roaring Seventies LIVE! The first thing i ever heard by these guys on the Dance Of The Lemmings Album in the early seventies aged 17.
Amon Duul II was once Amon Duul, but split morphed into a totally different sound. I don't know why, but if you check 'Robert Calvert's' "STARFIGHTER" album Amon Duul I plays on it with ARTHUR BROWN TWINK AND HAWKWIND MEMBERS
Great performance!. I think I prefer the studio version of "Syntelman's march of the roaring 70's" instead of the live version (mostly because Karrer sings much better in studio than live; however, he does great on guitar). But awesome performance of "Soap shop rock" :-D. Thanks for the upload
These guys are obviously very good at what they do (did?), but they don't do it for me. It took me 40 years to appreciate Zappa, so there's not time left - enjoy if you can...
@@dickranmarsupial4911 On Dance of the Lemmings, she is listed as a guest under the name Renate Knaup-Krötenschwanz, rather than as a full member. She was also a member of Popol Vuh during the late 70s and early 80s.
