the chain of reactions from Aoife's shocked face, to Ian's 'what have I done!?' to luke quietly looking at the camera and hanging his head in disbelief, is honestly hysterical
Luke in Among Us is the ultimate chaos agent. He's a second bullet in the pistol in a game of Russian Roulette. He's practically guaranteed to pull some crazy stuff that makes no sense but is absolutely sensational to behold. Bravo, absolutely devastated I missed it live
The game after where they couldn't actually lose because Andy intentionally third impostered was even funnier. "It was either Luke or Andy." "WELL, WE KNOW THAT!!" XD. When they swapped space-buddies I thought we'd never see an Ian and Luke teamup, but instead we got the Ian, Luke and Andy trifecta.
As game breaking as Space Buddies is, I can't deny it's always hilarious seeing another Westaway Gambit backfire horribly haha. Definitely looking forward to the next stream, as well as hopefully future ones as well!
@@intergalactic92 I mean, it definitely backfired when he chose Andy and he immediately outted him haha. But I was thinking more in the sense of it being so 'successful' meant it couldn't be used, which is call a failure. A successful failure, but still.
I know Among Us has lost most of its popularity over the last while, but these streams are just as good as ever. Awesome seeing everyone playing together.
Can we all agree that "The Westaway Gambit" is both A) one of Sun Tzu's lost chapters of the art of war, and B) the subttle of the Mission Impossible movie we deserve about Tom Cruise infiltrating Nintendo for the truth about Link and Doom guy?
I have successfully employed the westaway gambit for a win. I was on a long imp streak and people were starting to get wise to my tendencies and lies, so I changed it up and Luke came to mind. It worked. Now, I understand that groundwork was crucial, but it worked. Some of it had to with subverting expectations in a long running lobby, and some of it had to do with the westaway gambit “being just stupid enough to work.” I promise I got at least one imp win from it, though. :)
You are not alone. I tend to watch a stream a day, but it can be so funny to see the commentators explaining their plans to viewers, when I know if it'll succeed or not.
I really wanted to see all the Space Buddies action and everything. Not that I'm sad seeing Ellen and Jane and all, but it would have been so awesome to see Luke and/or Ian's (or Andy's) stream for the Space Buddies saga.
Apparently it took me 9+ months, a minimum of 16 whatch throughs ( have rewatched this on every channel atleast 4 times) and reading this comment to realise that.
All the credit to Luke for wearing a tshirt that matched his game colour as well! Actually made it easier to track who died/called meetings and other stuff. Jane and Andy seemed to have done something similar as well.
The Space Buddies was formed because Luke and Ian kept dying early. The Space Buddies was disbanded because Luke and Ian killed everyone. Died together, holding-hands. Stood together, bloodied hands. How poetic.
@@KarmicKnight97 Agreed. I know that if I were playing with Lolies, I would always take her out first if I were the imposter. From what I can tell she does tend to stay focused on the tasks, so unless another crewmate decides to stick with her, I think it's pretty easy to kill her on her own depending also on where she's at on the map.
Sometimes when I'm sad I watch OX videos and I'm like "these are my friends" and even though it's not true it makes me feel better So yeah you're all wonderful
Having just seen the new map, it probably was for the better that you all were too early and could familiarize yourselves with the game again with the old maps cause that new one is HUGE, lol
I saw some games on the new map too and have to agree: this one's both huge and complex. There are some odd new tasks that impostors will have to learn how to fake correctly and just learning the layout will take time. Upping walkspeed is probably a good idea. And I hope you like cardswipe, as every locked door uses a keycard :]
It is SO FUN to watch each game 1 at a time from all 4 perspectives so you know where everyone is, where they're going, and what their strategy is. The format is awesome!
Ellen it's only the very beginning of the stream vod but I just wanted to say thank you because the moment you said 'welcome guys, gals, and nonbinary pals' I teared up a bit! It's been clear for a long while that Oxboxtra and friends are very supportive of trans and nonbinary folks but it's just particularly nice to hear it so explicitly and casually. Idk, it's such a small thing but this nonbinary pal appreciates you
I've heard Jane, Luke, Mike and Ellen explicitly call out trans right explicitly in their solo streams, I've not seen any of Andy's but I would assume he's a similar advocate :)
When they're discussing it before the game with Ian and Luke as imposters with Andy siding with them, all I could think of was comparing it to Hannibal, and I'm 100% on board with that comparison.
I’m so, so glad you’re doing more of these. They’re just so FUNNY. Entertaining and relaxing. Maybe not quite as terror filled as the Hallowstream, but a great time nonetheless! EDIT: 56:05 Luke, you could not have sounded more sus if you tried XD
@Cara Elizabeth I think you underestimate Luke. I mean, I can't think what it would be like for him to sound more sus, but if anyone could pull it off, it's our man Luke!
I have to say in defense of the Space Buddies. Harkin back to that 2nd Among Us stream, the 1st one with Eurogamer. Just watch the 1st one or two games... Now watch the Space Buddies happen. Now it's one of the BEST things on the internet.
Rewatching in 2024... When Luke dies first of all in the stream, Ellen quips that now she has to run Oxtra on her own Hits different after today's announcement...
You all got me hooked me your 4 person perspective Among Us playing and you have not played a new game in FOREVER! Can you please make this a weekly event! You have yet to do a FULL 10 person game and Among Us now allows 15 players! Yaaaaaay!
I love watching these VODs but also being one of those folks obsessed with among us things like the engine room confusion with Andy and Wheels was HARD to listen to 😂😂😂
I just love the idea around 44 minutes.... I'm just wandering around with the map open, I have no clue where I am......... but..... the map LITERALLY tells you the names of every room :D
I think it makes it harder for the imposters that you can see each other while explaining yourself, sometimes the imposters reaction to being informed they are the imposter is a dead giveaway as well, it's fun to try to pick them out based on that
It took me about a week to get through this two hour masterpiece, but I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. John Carpenter and Wes Craven be damned ... Space Buddies 4EVER!
Okay, so Space Buddies were the best thing to happen to this stream and I laughed harder at them every single time I've watching this stream than I have for any other Among Us shenanigan. But can I just say as an enby, Ellen saying "Guys, Gals, and Nonbinary Pals" made me start to cry. Its so wholesome and so validating every single time, thank you so much.
Is it wrong that I think the mere fact that Aoife can do that creepy broken doll-child voice for Hide and Seek, makes her even more incredibly unicorny? I'm not saying I want her to use that voice on me, It's just the fact that she CAN...
55:09: Luke's eyes widened in shock, so I'm guessing that's when Ian got Andy. 58:34-5838: Judging by what you see in the cams of Ian, Luke and Aoife...that's when the betrayal happened.
So, if it were me, I would've voted for not-Luke when he was first space buddies with Andy. Something about the idea that everyone knows who the murderer is but not doing anything while Andy has to helplessly watch his friends die sounds so funny 😂
