Good stuff! I wondered about specs to test the tank. Thank you for directing us to specs. I’ll be looking mine over soon. It seems to be intermittent, and recentlyI even got a little squeal of feedback out of the amp at low volume, and it seemed to be related to reverb.
I should've watched your video before unracking and opening my new to me late 80s Mesa Quad Preamp, twice. It has two reverb tanks (one long one short) inside and I removed the top mounted long one to clean its connections and make sure no wires were loose. Multimeter was sitting right next to me but didnt think to use it atm. I want to eventually replace them bc it is supposed to have a unique sound w dual reverbs. The short one is in a tight spot tho.
@@NoSpoonsAllowed I ended up taking it into some guy near my spot. Might have been the connections on the back. I really wish I knew exactly what he did lol. When I showed up to pick it up he went to test it in front of me and there was a really loud squeal and he was like, that’s not good and he reached over and messed with something and it was all good and I haven’t had a problem since. Just be sure you are also plugged into the two channels all the way to the right. Either input on the second side. Also you need a foot switch to activate the tremolo
I have the remake of the 65 tube Twin reverb. I will be playing the guitar in the reverb Will stop. If I turn the volume up full blast it will kick back in again. Sometimes I have to tap it on the side. Do you have any idea what is wrong
