Every doctor should be required to watch your interactions with your patients! I’ve been an RN for over 40 years and am impressed every time I watch your videos. You are compassionate, respectful, and take a holistic approach.
@@AnitaDil In 40 years I have worked with many physicians!!! Of course, there were some with good interactions with patients. But none to the level of this doctor.
@@AnitaDilfair enough. In this example Dr Js treatment plan in fact in all his videos his interests is more inline with the vascularity/circulatory of our feet with the main culprit being diabeties. I can say with clarity that my own podiatrist doesnt go into the level of care that DrJ does and you can hear the patient and his wife affirm this in the video. Have a great day
Absolutely never seen a Dr. With such a wonderful bed side manner like u have dr . My mother was a RN for 49 years she always complained about the attitude of dr ......u a so kind patient and compassionate with your patients and always a teacher of your profession that is sometimes what people need the most is to be informed about their medical condition .Dr.u are simply wonderful❤!!!!!!
Another RN here. Dr. J, you are incredibly special. Thank you so much for what you do! I’m in your area, and hoping to get in to see you for my foot issues.
I'm a primary care PA working in both family and internal medicine - but I'm also one of our diabetes educators. Dr. Jefferson - your videos make my heart sing. The way you educate your patients, the meticulous care you show to their feet, the time you spend with them and actually LISTEN as you work - would that you were closer to my area so I could refer all of my patients to you. At the very least, now I take special care in examining all of my diabetic patients' feet so I know when to refer sooner before problems arise. Thanks for all you do, sir - excellent work as always 🎉
I love that this doctor gets in and gets the job done rather than dragging it out for a longer video at the expense of the patient. He always puts his patients first! ❤
Dr. Kevin... there are times when I wish I could get jump through this screen and hug you. This is one of those times. You are a good man that brings kindness, compassion, hope and common sense to your patients. You are a blessing to those who really need that blessing. Thank you Sir! 🤗❤🙏
@@macyjensen3390 gosh, I hope not because all those people who he helps and coaches personally wouldn't have his healing hands and knowledge to help them🤗
I know that Podiatry is your profession, but I can't help feeling a since of pride the way you care for your patience. You educate but never scold and this is so important when servicing our elderly.
I’m 35 and I have type 2 diabetes. Mine is controlled. This is a warning to make sure I take care of myself. I hope his feet get better. I wouldn’t wish this on nobody. Good job Doc.
I’m hoping you continue to control your diabetes. I hope you are aware that you can become free from diabetes & medication by eliminating all forms of sugar and simple carbohydrates. Speak to your doctor about a Ketogenic lifestyle of eating. Peace and be well.
As diabetic (type 2) with some foot neuropathy, I feel extremely thankful that I don't have any issues as bad as seen here. Valuable reminder to stay on top of things!
Don't you just love this couple? You can tell that they have been together a long time. The way that they correct each other and it's not a problem. Please wish them well, and hopefully, this guy will have a speedy recovery now that he is in your good hands, superb job doc. 🇬🇧🙏🏼👊👏👌👍👍👍👊👊🇬🇧
Dr J, I live in Perth Western Australia and i want to say you are not just a podiatrist, no sir. I have noticed over the years your interests are in circulatory/vascularity of patients feet and number one culprit which is diabities. I feel you have a lot higher understanding of vascularity in patients feet and your scope of understanding and treatment plans is inline with vascular surgeons and i commend you highly. I work in a hospital myself as a O.R tech and one of my buddies is diabetic insulin depenent and his dr has changed his medication to the new insulin as metioned in your vid with your patient here. And i can say with clarity over here in Australia that new type of insulin is only availible for diabetic patients only for the same reason that other non diabetic patients were on it too to loose weight. Love your vidio very educational tool for other doctors/, med students in the field. Now i need to go book in to see my own podiatrist and get my orthotics looked at its been a year for me. Keep up the great work mate and keep asking those questions and having those conversations with your patients ❤ because you care. Regards Robin Tana Western Australia
Great job! So scary how big it got! I’m a full amputee and deal w not feeling the right sensations on my stump. It’s easy to accidentally rip a sore into myself. I agree that it’s so important for Drs to be straightforward and truthful like you are! Thank you for being compassionate and so kind to your patients.
My father had all his toes on 1 foot amputated due to neuropathy (from chemo not diabetes). It's very hard to deal with calluses on your feet/stumps. Watch out for Jardiance though, it'll make you urinate like a diuretic though. Hope you keep your head up. 🤗
I'm glad this gentleman came to see you. I really thought he had an ulcer under that callus. I'm glad he didn't but it looked like he was on his way to getting one. Good results on this treatment.
Someone took the words right out my mouth. Your videos should be shown to every medical professional as an example of the way to interact and treat patients. There's way too many careless, disrespectful, arrogant and short tempered staff out there that could learn a thing or two from your humble professionalism... Thank you.
That is the daddy of callouses‼️‼️ I’ve been an RN for 51 years, worked 35 years. You are an amazing Doctor and even more you are an amazing human. Thank you so much for helping this wonderful man💖💖💖
“He’s a teacher AND a Dr!” Education is key and the sooner more medical professionals realise it the better. Great job as ever and a lovely patient, thx Dr J.
As a former nail technician, the only thing I knew about diabetic feet was that I was NOT qualified to work on them. I knew I could potentially cause harm. It's very important to go to the right person. I love how much education is in this video. ❤
🤠✌🏻🦶🏻Hello from Nevada, Dr J❣️ Saying what we all know…you educate with compassion, always listen to your patients without rushing them, you are never condescending AND you do a complete procedure every time❣️❣️ Who else finishes with a caring foot massage with shea or cocoa butter!? 💞💞💞 YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST ~~ BETTER THAN ALL THE REST (Tina Turner) 💞💞💞 Love and Respect, DEB 🦶🏻✌🏻🤠
I had nearly the same amputation on my left foot. Only difference is that my podiatrist had to take the firsst two toes as I waited too long to see a doc after infection. That was 8 years ago. The doc was able to save my foot and I have been living a normal life and now know how to deal with my PAD and diabetes. I hvae been watching your videos for the past 2 months. I like how you relate to your patients and how you are able to set their minds at ease while you work to resolve their issues. My current podiatrist has a similar demeanor and is a great indiviudal too. Thanks for shring your videos. They bring peace of mind. Keep up the good work! Your service is invaluable. PS - My doc is jealous of the water-dremel you use (LOL). He just has a vacuum attachment on his tools.
You are by far one of the best docs out there! You make your patients feel so comfortable! You talk to them like they're your neighbor! I wish my family doctor had your bedside manner.....I really mean that Doc.....you're one in a million! ❤🇨🇦
Darn how crazy that this gentleman goes to another foot doctor not long before he comes to you and nothing seemed to be taken care of. SMH DR. Jefferson you are truly needed, Thank you for taking care of your patients like no one else does.
This couple is adorable! And you are awesome. Explaining everything to a patient gives us such power. We feel more in control, and allows us to be a full team member in our healing!
Dr. Jefferson you are a Godsend, the care, compassion, around the clock care and concerns for your patients truly moved me. I can't thank you enough for everything you are doing. Much love and respect for you. ❤🙏
I ABSOLUTELY ADORED this video. The couple was so lovely and the way you made them feel just filled my heart. Thank you so much for what you do Doc. You're making such a positive difference in the world.
Hey Doc. Just started watching your videos today. I'm so impressed how you care for Each and Every One of your patients. You're what the example of a truly caring Dr. should be. They are few and far between this day and time. Because of your knowledge, compassion, skill and concern for your patients I'm becoming a subscriber today! Thanks for what you do and sharing it with us! Take care and God bless 😊
Congratulations. Thank you, Dr. Kevin J., for the video and many more videos. I'm sorry to hear about his patients issues from neglecting. Sometimes, people do not care about their feet. Dr. Kevin J will help him. I am sure he is appreciative of the help. Everyone is greatly appreciated. Love always, Patricia ❤🎉😊 Great job!
After watching you for a few years now and a few others on RU-vid….I naively thought that the level of care you and others give is across the board. Once this patient said you were his third doctor for his issues…I realized that is not the case. Thank you Dr. Jefferson for educating all your patients and viewers of how care should be done. I wish that it would be easier to find doctors like you. I guess like other services you will “kiss a few frogs before you find your prince” ☺️
I love your videos. My boys (7,5) watch them together when we’re spending quality time together. And we’ve learned so much that we explain foot issues like we’re podiatrists. Then when we see other podiatrists videos we compare them to you and your work. So far, you are by far the best out there and our favorite!! ❤❤😂😂
Good evening, doctor, I would like to congratulate you on your work as a podiatrist. He is professionally very prepared and what amazes me is to see him serene and positive with patients. He listens to them a lot and does everything to help them... This means being a good doctor professionally and humanly. Unfortunately, not many doctors are like her. Greetings from Italy 🤗
THANK YOU!!!! Thank You for all You DO!! You make people WANT to see their Doctors!!! Thank You for the education you provide!! I have learned so much from watching Your videos!!! ❤
We need more doctors like this gentlemen he is truly professional in his practice and shows his expertise with his patients and the care he gives. I learned a few things I did not know before this video. THANK YOU
You are awesome. I live the care you give your patients. I was a home health nurse that did a lot of wound care. Now I’m retired and a diabetic myself. I have a horrible time keeping away from carbs.
I love the interaction between husband and wife. So funny. You are a saint for listening patiently. God bless you richly for sharing your gifts with the patient and all of us.
Such a great Doctor who is so professional. He explains all concerned areas of the patient's needs and the following of what should be done for the adequate process of healing and maintenance. Love this doctor’s mannerisms.
Every time I watch you Doctor I am so happy to see how caring you are. You certainly know how to do your job and you never make your patients feel belittled.
I love that you are straightforward, but still caring, which is harder to find than it should be. You explain things so it is easy to understand, but you also want better for your patient. Even at one point, the man says something along the lines of how this is what he needed, just someone to be honest and explain things to him. Knowledge is power, and you empowered this couple. Now, it's up to them to use that knowledge.
My God, I have never seen feet like these and never knew these diseases existed. This doctor is amazing and works with such grace. He takes such care with his patients. Loving it!🌹💞
It makes such a difference when your doctor talks "to' you and not "at" you. Thanks again Dr. J for treating your patients as humans and not dollar signs ❤.
Dr. Jeff, i`ve always marveled at your skill in taking out thick callouses. You treated this patient wonderfully. I wish him and him wife all the best 💞. God Bless 😊🙏❤.
Dr. Jefferson, i am continually amazed at the quality of your work and the manner in which you treat your patients. You are the best in the business. Kathy from the other Washington. ❤🎉
I feel so bad for this man. Dr. J. I have so much respect for you the way you show compassion, caring. We need more wonderful people like you. God bless. 🙏
Wow! What an amazing caring Doc worth empathy. I truly wish there were more Dr's who would treat their patients respectfully rather than a bother. You have all of my respect. Job well done!
I mean I knew you were a great dr, but wow, open door policy and getting those patients in asap! The care you give them, the explanations of what you’re, what they should be doing etc, you are so thorough. You are amazing. I’m so glad this couple found you!!! ❤❤
From the first time that I watched you work with your patients, I have been very impressed with your skills and knowledge and compassion. You are very thorough and are certain that when you’re patients leave your office, their feet are in much better shape and your patience are more comfortable than when they came in.
This is by far the most amazing, caring and informative session I’ve seen so far. Yes you absolutely do amazingly care with your patients but this one really touch my heart because it reminded me of my dad. I would always secretly check his feet because I understand how being a diabetic affected him. He’s passed on now but I wish more physicians would be as informative as you were with them. God Bless You 🥹✨🙏🏽
Dr. Jefferson takes good care of his patients. Off course he treats their feet but there is an even, dare I say more important thing he does. Thats taking the time to talk to his patients, explain what is happening in language that lay people understand. Being close to the patient and treating the problem in a holistic way is just as important as informing about and preventing illness. In this case good interaction with the patient can prevent amputations or worse. A little side note: these elderly people seem so sweet. They make me think of my own grandparents. Especially the lady. Taking the lead and explaining everything to the doctor. I hope that with the care of dr. Jefferson the patient can keep his calluses under control.
I almost wish we could clone Dr. Jefferson; the world definitely needs more doctors like him. May God bless you sir for all the kind and comprehensive care you give to your patients. :-)
This is only the 3rd video I’ve seen of yours. You’re different! But in a good way! You educated with a gentle but firm hand. You also don’t try to “fill” dead space by jibber jabbering. You’re okay with silence, and I like that you don’t feel awkward with silence. I am glad you popped up in my feed. I’m a fan.
God bless you, Dr. Washington. What a miraculous job you did on that gentleman’s feet. Your bedside manner is wonderful, snd as a RN, myself. I really appreciate the teaching you gave to this couple.
Oh thank God this won't be my story. Since Dec. 2022 till Wednesday August 30th my A1c # 5.6 no carb/ zero sugar lifestyle I'm in remission sugar daily checks are ❤106ml/dl❤ Bless his heart
Best damn Doc ever!!! Amazing health care! Amazing bedside manner! Every doctor should thrive to have the professional skills and demeanor of Dr. Jefferson!!!
Your kindness is everything! Sadly, some of your patients let their feet get really bad before they consult you. The ones that find you are the lucky ones.
I LOvED this patient and his wife. They are so sweet together-finishing each other's sentences and both of them are so funny! As always you are so kind and compassionate. Fantastic care of the whole patient, not just their foot problems.
I agree with this gentleman about other foot doctors. I took my father to a podiatrist and it was horrible. They didn’t really talk with us. They just cut his toenails and sent him on his way. Never said he had a fungal infection in his toenails and never set up another appointment. I was so upset with them that I said I could’ve done what they did and my father wouldn’t been charged for the rude service. I’m glad I found your videos. It has taught me a lot. So thank you.
Your the best dr.jefferson. you really took good care of those calluses....talk about big, he's lucky he got in with you. You really help all your patients out. I like how you have a no wait policy for your diabetic patients...Keep caring dr! 🎉❤
