i really love that you post about your solo traveling, adam. i moved to a new city this year and its been really lonely, but i've really been trying to go out and explore on my own. it's really helped me to watch your videos and see how good you are at doing things like that for yourself
Adam, I love how you take us on your travels!!! I’ve never been to Europe but so much of my family history comes from Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands.
I love Amsterdam. I’ve been three times. Once you get out of the tourist areas, it’s so lovely to walk around. The architecture is incredible. It’s like no other city I’ve ever visited.
The cat cafe looked lovely! Just a tip: Its really, really cold in Norway right now. Its ÷20 celsius here at the moment, close to Oslo. I bet Finland is the same and the reindeer part might be even colder. Im really enjoying these travelvlogs. Thanks for bringing us along! ❤
It is cold in Lapland and getting colder. All of us Nordics are extra cold this winter, it’s really cold even here in Helsinki, so perhaps not the best time to visit.
Just a fun fact, the reason why they (probably) gave you only one water bottle is because all tap water is drinkable in The Netherlands. That’s also the reason why a bottle of water is more expensive compared to some other European countries. I’m so glad you enjoyed my city! It’s very unusual for Amsterdam to be this quiet, but it’s probably because everyone is now busy studying and working. Also the weather is not great. You’re quite lucky to have experienced Amsterdam like this, lol. I recommend you make use of the subway system next time, it’s very convenient and fast. Have fun in Berlin! 🩷🩷
What a fantastic zoo!! Also loved seeing all kitties!! And yes sometimes I really prefer spending time with animals too!! Amsterdam looks like such a chill city!!
Dutchie here! Nice to see you enjoying Amsterdam so much! I can recommend seeing Rotterdam, Dordrecht, Zwolle, Utrecht and other cities too! The architecture there is amazing and less busy than Amsterdam too~ Any sentences you'd want to learn? hahah. Edit1: A bike like that is called a ''bak fiets'' its indeed used to transport kids and mostly used in the bigger cities! ill probs edit this once i finished watching it all ^^
I’m going on a five week trip through Europe in July and you are really helping me get keen and understand the lay of the lands! Love you queen, love these vlogs!
I speak Flemish in Belgium, which is the same language as Dutch but with a slightly softer pronunciation. I had learned French before coming to Belgium as a child, and upon arrival, I was enrolled in a Flemish school for a better education. Pronouncing certain sounds posed a challenge initially, but after a couple of years, I was able to express myself fluently and respond to my bullies. Now, years later I am an actress, voice actor, musical performer, and part-time music and art teacher in an art school. Where there is a will, there is a way. I can proudly say that I am the Flemish voice of Tiger Lily in the live-action adaptation of Peter Pan and Wendy. While it may not be considered the best adaptation by some, the journey I've taken to reach this point fills me with pride, especially as a first-generation immigrant from Istanbul. Always welcome to Belgium. Many greetings from rainland. :)
It's so hard losing a pet because I see all of them as like my kids. I lost my English Bulldog to cancer a while back but it still hurts a lot. But it's kind of comforting to know that he's not in pain anymore. sending my love❤
Haha i love how other people always think Dutch is so difficult. As an English speaking person the Netherlands is pretty eazy because basically we all speak English :)
It's so nice to see you enjoy Amsterdam as a Dutch mucker 😁 if you come back def come in spring cuz it's even prettier and there will be flowers 😻 Also I thought Sevilla is nicer than Malaga 🤭
"Got my first coffee, hope it's not laced with marihuana". It isn't, because you gotta pay for that! The thing in front of the bike is called a "bakfiets". By the way, what kind of flight crew doesn't understand "Bonjour"? I bet they were just pulling your leg by answering "Goedendag".
FyI you think Dutch sounds hard? Try Welsh! Also it's much quicker and less stressful to get the train from Paris to Amsterdam, cheaper and lower emissions too!
Plus Japan has the lowest crime rate ever they don’t put up with violence at all. So that’s even safer than Amsterdam abd the people in Japan are more friendly too
When you kept saying "omg the penguins are tiny" for some reason it really got me 🤣 The zoo section was probably my favorite thing I've seen you do so far, it was just so enjoyable watching you explore and hang with the animals! I just love your travel vids btw. I'm trying to get over my fear of flying so I can so some solo traveling of my own because it looks so fun. Thank you for showing us around and letting us experience these things that we might not to on our own.
I am having a really really difficult time sleeping and was really sad an d struggling and then I saw that you posted and with my country in the title and I just got so excited and snapped out of it lol love you Adam❤
probably the reason there is only one water is because we all just use tap water. The tap water is soooo clean so i guess that is why they only put one in there haha
Noooooo do not go to Malaga. It’s just tall apartment buildings and British fish and chips shops There is a seaside town called Nerja - when I was in Malaga I spent one night, then got a bus to Nerja and stayed a week and loved it! (This was a long time ago so idk if the town has grown) Anyway there are way better places to go in Spain - like BILBAO in the Basque region where they have a branch of the Guggenheim museum
I can relate 100% to the spotty sleep. Be thankful that it’s not nightly for 10 years ongoing and without fail, which is my experience. Welcome to menopause, and Thank Goodness you get to dodge it. Love your channel, Adam.❤
Awesome video! The video footage you took at the zoo was amazing. Love the Cat Cafe. I think you had a connection with the orange cat 🐈 The paintings you purchased are beautiful and will look nice in your apartment. Amsterdam looks like such a wonderful place to visit.
I’m Dutch and here are some easy words for you 😊 Hoi hoi (pronounched “Hoy hoy”) = informal way of saying hello 👋🏻 Doei doei (pronounced “Duy duy”) = bye bye 👋🏻 Good luckkk❤❤❤❤
I was born and raised in Amsterdam. It was so much fun watching you spend time here. I’m super surprised though that you think Dutch people are friendly and nice 😂 most people find us to be rude and distant 😅. I loved how you explained the bakfiets (the bike that transports children). Its very normal here, number 1 way of taking your kids places. I feel the same way about the red light district. I always feel disrespectful being there. I don’t know whether to look or not. I usually don’t because I’m not a paying costumer and if I’m looking at them I feel like I’m taking advantage. Like looking at them out of curiousity, when they are not getting anything out of it.
Currently binging all your latest vids, Adam. Just finished your Paris vlog, and just starting this video. But wanted to stop to pause as soon as you started talking about cat cafés because you DEFINITELY need to go to one or a few in Japan! They're really popular there, as well as other themed cafés. I've also been to a cat café in my area before, and it was super fun 🥰 . Sadly I think they closed a few years ago, though. Anyway, hope you continue to have a fun and safe trip! Going to continue watching now, lol.
You kept saying "coffee shop", then as you speak I knew what you meant but I was so confused initially. Also in the beginning you said you wanted coffee and then walked past a coffee shop. I'm like "there is one" 😂.
I love seeing different places, but i find a lot of times the way people do travel vlogs gets boring quickly, but i love yours! Its like you speak more like a regular person and its much more interesting!!!!!!
I agree that the elephants in Artis shouldn't be in this zoo. There are plans to re-home them though. I hope it happens soon! I'm Dutch btw, I also have been to that cat cafe haha. I recommend Blijdorp in Rotterdam, another zoo, much better, in my opinion.
There's a zoo in South Australia called Monarto Zoo that is in the middle of hills and its massive. you can take busses through the enclosures and it's one of the last places on earth you can see wild brumbies'
lol since cannabi$ is the scientific name u could research how to order a food without an ingredient and translate cannabi$. Love you queen. Sorry for useless advice
Selfishly- I want you to go to Prague 😂. I haven’t been in 20 years and love it so much. I have so enjoyed your travels so far. Thank you for taking us along!
