I do find it most interesting to see how other modelers work out a build! Not only that but I have first hand information on what to look out for in a future build! Learning new techniques is always a "BIG" plus as well. I am still at a loss as to how anyone can learn from a three minute vid and no explanation as to what is going on?!? I am always eager to learn!! And sharing the knowledge is Great!! Marvelous videos Pete! Thank You for sharing! Looking forward to the next one! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
Hi Russell 👍😃. Always good to hear from you and thank you for the comment👍. You'll be glad to know a newer video is already out,in this series and there maybe one or two more on it👍🤔as it's all been very interesting to investigate. Have you built one of these kits? Hope to hear from you again soon, best wishes from jolly old England👍😎 Pete 🤓
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 Kind of wonder if someone before you maybe botched the window and just tossed one in from the other style kit, since they are exactly the same size. That's ok I know you'll beat it.
It works like that with steel and the process seems ok on styrene too👍. Window fit is a joke, with this kit. I've not seen anything this bad since the 55 chevy pick-up 🤣. Thanks for watching and best wishes from jolly old England👍😎 Pete 🤓
Thanks 👍i thought it would be the best technique for just creating a little lip and increase the radius of the arch. 👍. Thanks for watching and best wishes from jolly old England 👍😎Pete 🤓
I'm still trying to think of body lines. I'm thinking of laminating other car panels on,then sanding to shape. Early development stages,I'll look for junk Torino 🤔. I have a bigger pair of ring pliers but they are stepped not tapered😉
Thanks Shawn 👍. I do wish round 2 would deal with some of the faults these kits have before they re-release them. Or that some of the review channels were more critical and called them out and not just say what great kits they are. I forgot to mention the lack of detail in the interior tub😕good grief😕🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks very much👍😃. I was sick of seeing builds of this kit, which is my all time favourite muscle car, being built with no attempts at correcting the wheelbase.😧 I later found that trek works has. I'm still thinking of changing the chassis🤔
You'll have to make a Lucite windshield for the front. Interesting technique for the wheel flairs. I would have just enlarged the wheel radius and then curved in a strip of thin styrene and then use filler on the body and shape it into a flair. You have some FLash? Ahhh ahh ah!
Yes so would I. But no harm trying other techniques. Really I was think what to do with the model. I did think of you when I saw all the 'Flash,ahh-ah'
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 I saw a different post on someone who built this car and they said the wheelbase was correct, but the whole frame had to slide back 1/8". So he removed the alignment posts and moved it practically into the rear bumper. Might be worth an experiment.
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 Sounds good. I have 3 of these kits, so I could try sliding my chassis back and seeing if it works out. It's just a matter of WHEN I can build those models! LOL! - I'm so slow these days.
