I have a few choices there Tim 👍😎. I'm going to check that etched grille and find which surround it fits in best. There seems to be size differences in those too. One day,I'll check them all together 🤔
That is a great pile of plastic that you have their my friend! It really makes me want to build some of those early Fords that I have stashed in the corner of my stash. I also have a couple of Lincoln's and some other gangster type cars that I've started but have not finished yet so I should probably get them off the shelf of Doom and work on them this spring.
Its an amazing quantity of styrene in those boxes. I would have been buried,if I'd opened them all🤣🤣. I've noticed different sizes in the 32 grille surrounds,so I'm going to compare a variety and the fit of the etched pairs🤔
Nice selection there Pete, a sort of Woolworths Pick n Mix by the look of it 😊. The next problem will be make a decision and keep to it 🤨 Have fun 🙂Cheers Bob 👍
There has got to be some good swap around in this lot. I bought two 30s,to do both versions, but am ending up with lots of spares. I want to find good uses for them. I'm very suspicious of the etched grille size too and will find out which radiator surround it fits best🤔. Thanks for watching, from seeing your videos, you must have a big box of left -overs too😉I think🤔
Yesterday a black one was down here at the lake was awesome Love the chop and the flames Cool photo etch stuff Nice find Oh Decisions decisions Which if any of those kits have the red ram valve covers Thats the only hemi i cant mold
Good to hear from you,Butch. The yellow mod rod kit does👍.The other model A kit describes a Chrysler 329 Hemi. I got kit with only stock parts left, someone else had the custom and V8 parts
Nice to see some 1932 Fords there. You have the AMT 1932 Phaeton. I think I have 4 of them. There was a time when our Wal-Mart was selling them with 3 other cars and non-toxic glue/paint for $10 each. Must be 2 decades ago because they are RC2 kits. The Photo-etch parts look like fun. Love the "Foot" pedal. I see an AMT 1929 Ford Roadster under there. I'd sure love to get another and get that amazing blown Dodge Red Ram engine. Seems like I either lost or messed up mine or lost them. Is the chopped '32 based off the Revell Orange Crate kit? Maybe a resin copy of the plastic kit? If so, I don't think the Orange Crate has fenders. I think the later 1929 Ford A Roadster includes Barris Ala Kart parts. If so, you also get custom fenders in there. Have a look at them.
There are definitely some ala cart parts in the mod rod kit,I'm not sure if it's complete. Until yesterday, I totally forgot I had this kit . It was a birthday present that got put aside😭😭
A lot of mixing and matching there. Yea, all the 32 Fords had the same wheelbase. Must be the difference between model manufacturers. The chassis you have from the 30 Ford looks like a 32. That kit came with both 30 and 32 frames. The 30 model A is a straight frame where as the 32 has the "curve"
