Amtgard Class Tier List 

I find a lot of people sleep on Scout. What holds it back a lot for players that i have seen is their lack of equipment, once a scout has the full armour, throwies, sword and either board or bow they can be a pretty reliable fighter class and at least better then monk for sure #paragonmonk

I think it really depends in how you play the class. I like Healers in massive battles because of the unlimited heals, ressurrects (unlimited if you keep charging them), greater heals and greater ressurects. Wizards were more powerful in 6.0 rules overall if you combined their defend+enchantments+fireball , but they have become more specialized in the current rules. When monks used to have sanctuary + vibrating palm combo, they were home seeking missiles. Now they are an anti-mage class. They used to be an anti-mage, anti-assassin class.

Scout has fallen so much since V6--yeah, I'm old. I started in 1996, and was the first a Master Scout in VSR, 2nd in the Pacific Northwest.

what's the situation they are being graded on? questing, battle games, 1 on 1. good list, I don't agree with most of it, but good players do creep toward certain classes giving them the illusion of being good. love your videos!

I think you are underestimating scouts, I have filled healer roles (yeah I need a battery bard to do it but I can), dispels are useful, bows/melee + Armor, tracking...basically you are playing with bad scouts it feels like because a scout can be a VERY versatile class

I agree across the board, bud scout is atleast B tier for me.

Obviously skill curve aside for these, but you mention is it's happy to see on your team or useful you mean as a general measure or are you saying from the perspective of a certain class?

I 100% agree with that list in that order. Paladin eats Monks lunch now that it's a fully available class. They both have heal, res, all weapons, but Paladin gets 4 points of armor, shields, and javelin. I also rather take pro-magic 2/refresh along with pro-death and pro-command, then unlimited enlighten soul imo.

90% agree. Personally I would have put Archer in D Tier but then Paladin/Anti-Paladin opened up so non-hardened shields started to become a bit more common so they may have a bit more utility now. Paladin I would do B Tier due to how hard they inherently shut down Bards. Scout is very underpowered BUT they are another source of infinite Dispel so id give them C.

I love coming out as a scout with a bow and walking up to a healer and being undead with a bow.

If you have good stick, Bard is S-tier. armor, shield, and magic? It's like a win button.

as a barbarmain, you clearly dont see how it is an easy S, but thats ok, Barbar bombs are a thing for a reason.

What would be the best classes for beginners?

With monk I find they should b C tier with the popularity of running games such as CTF, ring the bell, and similar. But our class sucks at Defence style games. I feel skill curve is heavily a part here for monk. Throwies on a scab pole with Enlightened soul is a great combo but I see many other monks not make any impact without outside enchantments. In order for us to be effective we need throwies, extra swords or poles and the person needs to be good at stick and running. That might be too heavily reliant on skill at that point to qualify for the chart as written

No monster classes or peasant class??? This list is invalid lol jkjk good list. My favorite classes are monk and scout and I agree they are the weakest but i still love playing them

OK OK OK, i have a big problem with 2 parts of this tier list. you put Archer at C tier and Scout at D tier. like what? an Archer is a B tier like ya they are not always useful but i have seen one Archer change an entire battle field but a Archer can be a bad class depending on the game but there useful. like i am a Paragon Archer and i know it can be a bad class depending on the game but on other games it is a very good class to have on your team. there is a reason that at kingdom events separate them. but the biggest this it you put Scout in D tier?! like they should be in B tier as well as they are abel to fill meny rolls like they are a wield card no one really knows what they have at the time. like high level you can have up to three enchantments on at a time with out having any enchantment that gives them extra enchantment slots (Adaptive Blessing [does count towards Enchantment limit as long as you dont wear another enchantment from the Protection School] then you also have Evolution making the total at least three if you get an enchantment like Attuned, Essence Graft, or Phoenix Tears that number goes even higher) but it seeing how you need a class that can enchant you is why i say it would only be in B tier
