The train travels through 3 counties, the Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties reaching a top speed of 79 miles per hour on this portion of the route. In addition, long stops and waits for other trains at signals have been cut so you can enjoy the scenery without delay. This train was running around 35 minutes late, which you can hear the conductor reference several times throughout the journey.
