This is just absolutely THE most heart-wrenching performance of Back to Black. It's like she's really at the end of her rope here; Blake, the drugs, the alcohol, the fame; all of it. Yet somehow, she digs deep and pulls out this powerful vocal performance. Coming at the end of the Back to Black era, it's like a swan song. She would never perform like this again. Rest in peace, Amy.
@@tcgproductions683and she took us along on the ride with her. I think that a lot of people don't understand our love for Amy. We were with her every step of the way. When she was hurting, we were hurting for her. Her fanbase are the most empathetic, understanding and caring fan base I've ever encountered. Compare that to the fans of Taylor Swift that are just toxic. We went through what Amy went through, albeit 2nd hand. We lost our icon.
One thing about Amy whine house no one can deny that she had such a fuckin crackin talent. Every live versions of all her songs are complete different. She's up there with the greatest where she belongs. This is talent at its 100 percent best.
I was there that night. All the artists were rained off, it rained solidly for 5 days and 5 nights, but Amy performed. I looked at her and said "she's not long for this world"
And the Fog rolled in .. She sang a Song .. The Pain .. it Rings .. Murky Depths .. A broken Soul .. A Siren Stolen .. From the Cold .. Haunted Love .. Silent Screams .. Bones & Cross .. Long Live the Queen .. And if you ask .. Perhaps she'll tell .. Maybe Darkness .. Always Dwells .. Don't you Wander .. Get back Home .. The Devil Walks .. With Hat Alone .. Rest in Ashes .. Piece by Piece .. Deep within .. Eternal Sleep.
Remember, walkin in the sand remember walikn hand in hand the nights, the nights were so exciting your smile, your smile was so inviting and he kissed my cheek, with, with your fingertips sofly, softly, softly we met with our lips, softly we meet we met with our lips.
Remember, walking in the sand remember walking hand in hand the nights, the nights were so exciting your smile, your smile was so inviting and he kissed my cheek, with, with your fingertips sofly, softly, softly we met with our lips, oh Blake we meet we met with our lips.
Good god! At 2:05!!! So beautiful! Been holding off on watching this video cuz she wasn’t doing well then, and i didn’t want to see her messed up, but she does some incredible improvisations.
when you watch this ,you just wanted to be able to hug amy and say ,its going to be alright ,screw the music and just go away somewhere and love your self ,help yourself ,us fans would have waited for her to come back no matter how long, you cant just forget a talent like amy ,she sang those blue songs of life so from the heart ,you just couldnt forget her !r.i.p.amystill enjoying your music

People don’t listen to the lyrics they just sing The lyrics literally say “help me please” She probably (maybe not) just wanted someone to come up to her and say “it’s ok I’m going to help you love” And hug her ❤️
Awwww! This particular performance has a duality to it...she still sounded great and I love how she phrased this version as she was singing. But knowing how ill she was by this time...breaks my heart! I love you AMY!! ^..^
This may sound biased as I have always been and will forever remain an Amy super-fan (I cringed writing that but had to as I'd loved her from the second I saw her and we had similar upbringings, likes etc.) But she is the only artist that makes me feel what she's saying. Tortured soul that was failed by those closest to her. This performance is on another level, we're truly seeing the 'black' she said she would go back to. Even wasted her improvisations are outstanding. RIP Jewish princess ❤ you're in a place of pure love now.
We have not only lost an Iconical voice! WE HAVE LOST AMY!!! we have lost her wonderful and polite personality. We have LOST her lovable and unanulled way ❤️😩 I don't understand the people who just wanted her voice. It was about her. If we had heard her cry for help then she would still be here and have started a great family. But, of course, we were only concerned with our own well-being. We took advantage of it we were happy with this music and didn't see her pain. I'm ashamed, too😢 We had to notice it, and that we all 😔❤️
this is probably my favorite performance of this song but it so so sad. its hard to watch her in this state. i want to take her home and give her hugs and donuts.
You watch this performance now and it’s the work of a tortured artist in the eye of the hurricane. But I was at this gig and everyone thought it was awful at the time!
U so lucky! I wish I had the chance to met her! 😰 most ppl thought she was awful at the time she was alive but now everyone recognizes her worth.. 💔 (sorry my english isnt very good)
This was a surprisingly good performance. I tought it was going to be a disaster (like all her last performances) but it was good. maybe we have hope after all! Get better Amy!
Even though her state of mind wasn't the greatest here and she was high and depressed she absolutely nailed this performance. It's one of her top 3 Back To Black performances. She did an amazing delivery. Her turns and rhythm is amazing. She barely even tries and she sings it effortlessly. She had more talent in her pinky finger than all today's artists combined.
she is in full spiral downward in her personal life but she still sounds great with a vocal expression unlike any one else on the planet. . I miss her voice everyday and the song writing that could have been possible
Remember walkin' in the sand Remember walkin' hand in hand The night was so exciting Your smile was so inviting Then he kiss my cheek With his fingertips Softly, softly we'd meet with our lips
she was pretty good! and omg stop saying she was drunk here, she was FINE i think people just wanna say shes drunk whether or not she rele was at this point
its a credit to amy that walking in the sand fits lyrically into her song so well sad that we wont see her live again but she has material for 2 full albums and there alway the reggae full album that island rejected we will still learn more from miss w
I mean her voice sounds a lot better than that V Festival. It sounds sloppy, but maybe that's her intention. I do still see the light at the end of the tunnel for her. She needs to find some thourough people to associate herself with. I hear a slight improvement though. Yo, if she put her mind to it she'll be one of the hottest vocalist in the game. 1
it is just tragic-ravaged by drugs and poor care-and still with the best voice we have been lucky enough to hear in 40 years. As a singer-phrasing, chops, feeling-not since Sarah Vaughn.
A little scary at first sight - due to the blue lights and an Amy who´s grown so lean. Nevertheless an expressive performance again - specially the part with lyrics from "Walking in the sand", which Amy changes into a pleading address to Blake ("Don´t play with me!"). This girl could touch your heart (if it is a heart in your chest and not a stone). There´s no doubt at all, she was one of the greatest artists we´ve ever seen. Thank you, Amy, thank you so much!
