There were rock bands that were not just music bands but show bands really because they had dedicated dancer(s) as their members. Sadly we don't see more of these nowadays.
This is the night she won 5 GRAMMY awards. She couldn't attend the ceremony because USA refused to give her a visa. Tomorrow is her 40th birthday. Happy birthday Amy!
@@leonardodalongisland Any kind of arrest or criminal charges/record even a police caution disqualifies you from entering the US. They are very strict. I miss her too, multi-generational talent and I'm not even into jazz as such.
@@vtrmcs I didn't realize she had a "record." However: The US does not deny visas or entry to people with convictions for what are, under US laws, considered misdemeanors, although multiple convictions can result in visa and entry refusals. A crime involving moral turpitude (CIMT) may be grounds to deny entry.
I know! I empathise w her COMPLETELY! I can't watch this performance w/o tears steaming down my face 😪 GD...what a fucking waste,man...RIP, MAMA...U R FOREVER LOVED AND UR LEGACY LIVES ON🌈🎶💖
Unfortunately they did know of her suffering and her dad and I believe a body guard both tried to help her into rehab but she left it and refused so she wouldn't get help but unfortunately addictions are hard to deal with for the addicted and the loved ones because the addicted has to realize the addiction and want to get help or nothing will work but RIP to her because she was a great talent
Unless you've had addiction close to you you don't understand how impossible it is to help someone who isn't ready for it. All the love and good intentions are not enough.
@@721deco8 I have had addictions close to me so don't tell me what I don't understand I know how hard it is to try and help someone who doesn't want to help themselves doesn't mean she still didn't get help but addictions are hard to over come so yes I do understand thank you
She died bit by bit everytime she sang that song. In her Last preformans the crowd had to sing the lyrics for her. Seeing her that night broke my heart. I just wanted to hold and comfort her when she broke down in tears.
Era una gran cantante lastima que nadie estuvo a su lado cuando más lo necesitaba, mal padre que solo vio en ella un comercio, una máquina de hacer dinero que pena
theres only 1 thing she missed out on. Singing with other greats in her middle years. She would throw everything else out with the bathwater. It wasnt worth her pain and hangovers.
Many big blues and jazz stars do the same. Amy never sung the same song the same way twice, and so it sounds new and fresh every time. I don't remember who it was, but a jazz singer commented that it would get so boring to perform the song always the same way. I guess Amy felt the same.
As usual, a fantastic performance. I love that she never sings a song the same way twice, always adding incredible depths of emotion. Love and miss you Amy!
I never heard her perform this song the same way twice. But I always see that same look in her eyes of disassociation. Whatever trauma she faced, it ran deep....Pure talented sad soul she was.
Dissociating, yes & I'd take a guess & say her "Selfish, Creepy, Cheating, Lying, Using, Ass of a Father was her 'trigger'. He kicked off the 'start' of Amy's pain which sadly followed her until her death. RIP Amy xxx
Amy Winehouse s soul s good as gold Shes resting now somewhere safe and sound Still singing and happier than ever before No more pain and suffering Just peaceful soul happy soul lots of love AW x
I never realised how much she is potentially the best female vocalist of the last 50 years, suprassing the likes of tina turner etc in this performance, im shocked at how good she truly was ohhh my ❤
This performance right here was not her best due to being a bit tipsy. But when she was sober she was a fucking powerhouse. 2004-2007 were her best vocal wise. I definitely suggest diving into her Frank era to see what she could do in the jazz genre. She was a true jazz/blues diva through and through.
@@otralexvlogs5196 possibly, but also improvisation, you know? You can have problems and still do something interesting... two things can be at the same time. Unless you like your music sounding exactly the same way all the time, I don't know. An artist is always creating, all the time. Otherwise it's just commerce and you're just listening to a business person. Yawn.
It didn’t take long to take her away her cries and suffering were always at bay her fans and those that loved her could not help. she was just hurting with anguish herself. It’s with love we remember her and her pain. and that she will never be with us again. Love you and always will. Listening to you was such a thrill.
So unfortunate, so unfair, for her and for the world... we've been deprived of so many wonderful songs, concerts..and I'm sure she would have finally beaten the addiction...so sad
Amy could do SO many things with her stunning, emotional voice - and that's not even mentioning her exceptional songwriting abilities...what a musical phenomenon she was...
Gut-wrenching. This song, sung by Amy this way, is more than a song. It comes from somewhere deeper, and reminds me of "Dark Was The Night" sung by Blind Willie Johnson. Beautiful yet tragic. One of the greatest.
Amy is an artist that I truly miss in so many ways. She put everything into her music. You can feel the absolute raw emotion. It's so powerful and moving.
So witty adorable and that quirky sense of humour not to mention her talent is so unique and stunning . Miss her love her wish that she was still here . We miss you Amy Winehouse ! ♥️🎶🙏🏼✨
She was too young to die , she had so much more to give but it’s so fitting she left everyone wanting more. She’s our modern Billy Holiday so much talent and such a deep sorrow.❤ my heart goes out to those ladies may they rest in peace
😢she was meaning every word of that song...so hard to watch after what happened to her...i could see the pain she must have been feeling...poor Amy. The cry for help.....she gave so much .God bless her ! Xx ❤
1:48.... That face...I HONESTLY CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF IT, this is hands down my most favorite facial expression my girl makes. It's like you can see her passion coming thru right on her mouth. I mean she just allows herself to feel it and THAT is why I love her so very much.Honest to God I've never seen anyone that can even come close to the passion this woman had. And need I mention that voice....i mean, Amy is in a class all her own.I believe she gave her life for her music, and I truly believe noone has or will hold a candle to her. Thank you Amy, you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Here was a voice of aching beauty, a talent so rich and pervasive, one body could not hold that magnificent spirit. What a tragic, tragic loss. Love always, Amy.
DO NOT DO DRUGS, kids. Even platinum life can be over in the blink of an eye. Jimi, Kurt, Sid, Amy and others, learn from their example, no need to repeat.
This recording is a monument. She was so full of sense for musicality in every discipline: Tune, colorful voicing, but foremost and unbeatable in rhythm. Thanks God for such an inspiring human - although much to short...
