This was the night that she told her close friend that she wasn't having fun because she just "really wanted to be high tonight." The world was at her fingertips, 5 grammy's and a live preformance for the books.. but she still felt like she was missing something. My heart absolutely breaks for this angel.
I think she was mad she couldn’t get Clearance on her visa to do the set at the Grammys…she was clearly upset in this performance kinda phoning it in…band however on point!
I guess that shows the "power of addiction" that certain substances have over a person- i.e., Amy would have rather gotten "stoned/drunk" rather than do this show.
Being completely tired of singing all the same songs again and again and therefore just starting to spontaneously modify them live on stage, creating totally new songs off the cuff, and still ending up with an absolute stunning performance, that´s when true talent stands out from the crowd.
OMG! She was just playing with the music score , a lot of improvisations, full of love, passion in music! Legendary live performances and here is the iconic moment when she astonished received the grammys, especially the last one which blow her mind. Her legacy will live forever! You are my inspiration Amy Winehouse and that's why i will always love you! RIP Amy Winehouse! :X:O:X:O
lord i wish she was still here. her music has inspired me to get up and move and do so much more. i wish i could meet her and tell her how much she’s made me laugh from her interviews. she always cheers me up. i’ve never even met her before and i get emotional just talking about it. rest in piece amy, you are loved by so much
I beg to differ ,however Amy was terrified of singing in front of an audience, she struggled with anxiety when singing in front to strangers which is how & why she took to smoking weed & then weed & booze ... ...She must have been so angst, and you can see she just won record of the year at the Grammys and she still looks shy and scared when she begins her acceptance speech. And yet an absolutely flawless live performance. but her smaller shows in and around Camden or among family & friends where she was comfortable, was something to behold. Alas still a stellar performance. . I wish she could have seen herself the way the world saw her...
What a phenomenal performer and musician. Taken too soon. She really was a genius of music. Totally earned that Grammy. Just wish we could have gotten her next album
She actually had to perform the same medley 3 times via satellite for the Grammy broadcast, so she was bored, that's why she kept changing the lyrics. She also told her best friend after she won the Grammy, that it wasn't the same without the drugs. The version that went live at the Grammys was erased from RU-vid for some reason but it's in Google.
For me one of the best female voices ever, if not the best, I know I'm being controversial but that's my opinion. Her voice was a gift to music and to the world, a gift that we opened without care. Rest in peace Amen ❤
I remember being a proud Amy fan, when she won almost all her nominations. But I need her to be at peace, no more relapses or using d*ugh to cope. You can do anything, just have to fight. Life is beautiful, can be dark too… but it’s about growing and evolving
The same media that put her at the top of the charts was the one that ridiculed her for her dependent state afterwards. The saddest thing about all this is that she had Borderline personality disorder, which justified MANY of her behaviors, her vulnerability to drugs, the grief she experienced at the end of a relationship, her self-destructive behavior, among other things. However, like most Borderline people, she was extremely talented at what she set out to do, but oscillated between anxiety and mourning. There was a lack of empathy, care and attention to the cries for help, like in Rehab, where she says that "All you need is a friend", the impression I have is that they sucked her in every way, the media, the family, the producers, wanted Amy the artist so much that they forgot to look at Amy the person. I know that you are in a good place, and if I could ask God for something, it would be to have the opportunity to give you a hug, even if in silence. Kisses from a Brazilian fan who also suffers from a Borderline personality, I will love you forever! ♥️
