I have always looked for her back up singer. Extreme talent made you want to dance. Does anyone know what happened to the band? Amy to me was a rare frail little girl headed in the wrong direction. I as thousands of others loved her and miss her person and her one of a kind talent.
tbh no one on her team who continued to work with her when she clearly was mentally and physically completely deteriorating deserves to be called amazing for anything
@@harleyquiinnnn ...and what do you think he could do, that her family, boyfriend, manager, agent, security, close friends could not? He was always helping Amy but powerless to do much else. He could have rolled his eyes and left her to it, but he always helped Amy. You're point?
I lost my girlfriend this past June to alcohol.. she ended up losing her mind and also only weighed 85 pounds towards the end. Her family unfortunately gave up on her. Even her own twin sister! I tried to keep her with me, showing her love and compassion as much as I could. Was our third and last time together since high school. We made it three years this time. I miss her every day!
Lp
Thinkin bout u Steven!!! You’re such a good man. You really loved your girlfriend and even if she wasn’t your wife or fiancée don’t let people discredit your relationship with her. You did all you could. You can never go back. Please live with ABSOLUTELY zero regrets. 💯
Agree. I hate to see this. I’m almost 10 years clean. That life was living hell. I wish she had been able to live the principles and sing the rest of her days. 😢
Even when you were falling apart in our faces you have the voice of an angel. Babygirl I’m sorry you were hurting so bad. I’m sorry the doctors told you that you were just depressed. You were broken, and yet your voice hits me dead in my chest and I know it hurt so bad. But you’re still here in 2023 touching the hearts of those who needed you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love you always, Jazz

I JUST WISH SHE COULD HAVE SEEN THE WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL PERSON SHE WAS AND SHE DESERVED SO MUCH MORE!!! She loved Blake, your ❤❤❤heart wants what it wants ? I just wish Blake loved her....she wanted to be who he wanted her to be. He could of helped her to help herself!! I don't understand why he didn't !!?
Agreed, I decided to close my eyes about half way in and despite her being ill with her throat/chest and the fact that she was all jittery and nowhere close to sober, her voice was still there and what I mean by that is that for her, singing was as easy as talking. I closed my eyes halfway through and imagined her in a big comfy chair beside a fire with a big oversized cardigan on, a blanket over her legs all curled up in the chair and a soothing warm drink in her hands as she bathes in cosy light from a lamp whilst just singing to herself with a smile on her face, enjoying her own voice alone while she heals. I wish that were true xxx
I am 60 years old and I so relate to Amy winehouse. A reporter once said that without alcohol or drugs, Amy was like interviewing a rock. I get it. Born in the 60s and by the time the seventies rolled around, I was the life of the party, but of course I was stoned, drunk. I get it. I was social when I was tore the hell up. Sober, I was quiet as a church mouse and as insecure as you can get. As was Amy. And she had a much bigger audience than I did. Bless your heart I get it. May you rest in peace and I hope your personality shines now. Much love Grandma Gia in the Ozarks
to me too ... she left this world too young ... so talented. But she simply did not have the strong will or character to leave the greatest evil in the world, and that is the damn drug .
Hii!! I want to genuinely ask you this question, bz I'm really confused. So my Question is There are actors, singers who are famous and have fans in millions, these fans also sends them gifts and shows so much love that I sometimes think that these fans can even die for them. But then at such times when they should help their idols, they don't.So does it mean that their love, support towards their idol was fake?? I'm 17 yrs old medical student, I don't have much understanding of society and other such things, so could you please explain me what really are these fans. Are they fake or they're so selfish??
@@FreetheebeesI was in a long term top or the line treatment facility, and when I heard she had died from alcohol poisoning it stunned and numbed the hell out of me. Love you always Amy, wished you had tried sobriety for a longer time.
The ppl in the comments saying "how could those close to her have not stopped her?"...clearly you don't know a thing about addiction. You have to want to save yourself. It's the fight of a lifetime, it's not just a medical treatment. You have to want it in the deepest core of your being. Consistently. And then you have a chance. Those who love someone with addiction often say that one of the worst parts is watching them die slowly, right in front of you. And it being out of your control.
Some what you are right. But how can you ignore the fact that the industry ignored a duty of care towards her. They cared more to make money so the people saying this shoukd have been stopped are completely correct also
The sadness in the eyes of the singer closest to her, who helped her up & got her shoe was so wrenching to watch. So hard o see her trying he to best while having trouble standing. Beautiful girl with beautiful talented singing voice! Gone to soon! Loved & missed so much, never to be forgotten!🙏🏼💕RIP Sweetheart💕
this makes me so sad. she looks like she is dying but 100 000 people just want to get their money's worth. I wish someone stopped the show and gave her a hug.
A hug would not have helped Amy Winehouse. A serious intervention is what she needed. She was her own worst enemy. I remember the first time I heard her on the radio. At the time I had know idea who she was. I only knew she had the most wonderful voice I had heard in decades. I became instantly hooked only to watch her slowly desintagrat in front of my eyes. She left many fans heartbroken
Thank you!!! My thoughts exactly!!! That’s why I refused to go to the concert in my hometown, Belgrade. Couldn’t (wouldn’t!!!) watch her suffering on stage! And as expected it was a disaster, and tragically, her last concert ever. RIP dear Amy💕
Everyone literally watched her die.. and instead of helping her - the press made fun of her 😕 She was a a unique talent.. Much like Janis Joplin There will never be another Amy .. 😢
I think after this is when celebrities who had addiction issues really learned how to hide behind closed doors. She just didn't care she was just out there. She was shamed for that. But you got to say she looks so rough it's hard to ignore!
She wanted to be there.. she was open to the crowd about it.. she knew she wasn't in a good shape but her human spirit is inspiring.. one of the most authentic public figures of our time.. what a talent.. RIP Amy and thankyou for your fighting human spirit and your music ❤
Even if she was drunk or on a trip, she was so genuine!!! That's what made her special. She was honest. And I see many people here who are not! It's very easy to judge, isn't it??
@@clarewelter2207 I'll judge her as an alkie all freaking day long. That is my right. Other people would have sold their soul for the potential she had, but wasted. That is nothing to be a fan of and feel sorry for.
Her old footages are so so emotionaly sad , u can just wish for her well being rather then being with her at her low times , u wer a shining diamond Amy very precious
its horrible that people in the audience can look past her calling out for help. all she needed was a genuine person that cared for her. rest in peace amy ❤️
You're uneducated if you think it was her decision to preform this last performance. If you think this is what dedication to an audience should look like your crazed. Truely.
Are you seriously this dumb? Is the show was her priority, she wouldn't have taken drugs and drink before a performance.. The whole audience should've demanded their money back 🤡🥱🙄
Hermosa voz!!
Poor baby girl. I miss her so much. I had a precious little cat for 10 years named "Frank" and many nights, we would cuddle and listen to her "Frank" album. He passed away unexpectedly last year. I hope he was able to find Amy and was somehow able to tell her about that when he got there, how much we love her music. I like to think that maybe they can look out for one another. He sure took care of me while he was here. He was that friend I always needed, and I hope he can be that friend for her now.
It's amazing how she can go up in that stage drugged and with her voice super damaged and still put on a show. Although it was a horrific performance, she sang LIVE, NEVER went out of tune and IMPROVISED ways to go around the standard melody so she wouldn't force her voice with higher notes.
This is so heartbreaking. You can tell that she really wanted to be there even though she shouldn't. Amy was so passionate when it came to her craft... She will never be forgotten. I miss her so much.
She needed someone to put a stop to this. I wish someone would have protected her when she wasn’t capable of protecting herself. It’s genuinely so sad.
I cried so bad when she passed. I really really appreciated her and her talent. My sister friend introduced me to her music and I fell in love with her voice immediately. It's still hard for me to watch her or listen to her music. She was a true talent. Rest well Amy. 💜
She was so messed up she could not remember the words to her song ...You could tell when she forgot the words she would start mumbling and just making noise ...this is so SAD watching and knowing how everything ended for her .
It’s very sad to watch her struggle like that.. her thinness shows that addiction took over and won.. She didn’t want help, according to her Rehab song.. Too many drugs and drinking will kill your voice too..
She did say yes and more than once. She was clean of drugs when she died and had been for some time. Alcohol poisoning after attempting to quit drinking cold turkey combined with bad physical health was what took her from us.
Can you imagine if she was a nurse or a caregiver, we worship those who struggle , yet ordinary people get through life , yes she was an addict. But do not turn up for work like this, compassion is important, reality is real. People paid to see her perform, she should have cancelled, she had the power, mental illness is heart breaking, does not get you a get out of jail card. And her defiance with this song, rehab, makes me feel kinda sick. Ordinary people suffer every day, she had the money to get help. END OF RANT . AND I HAVE COMPASSION.
@@elainekomara8555 tell that to every rocker from the 70s 80s and 90s. most of their voice got better with rasp and distortion . kills the liver before it kills ones voice
This woman was amazing... her voice, and her sheer talent was just remarkable... She needed help, and no one took the time to care for her. I can only hope that Amy is safe and happy now, with the man upstairs.
@@mariohernandezmartinez9328 Don't be so arrogant! We all have our cross to bear. Hope that you or your kids, if you'll ever have one will never get addicted to hard drugs or alcohol.
This is the first time I’ve seen this. She should have never played in that show is the shape that she was in. Wth is wrong w the world of people? She was famous, she was a beautiful artist in the industry, there should have been an intervention, but the dark world of entertainment harvests the need for mind altering substances to bandaid the stress and expectations of the artists at the demand of their STARDOM. Meaning the people want to see and hear her so let’s let her keep going because she is entertaining and making money no matter the personal status mental health and wellbeing of that artist. Praying for all
This video hurts my heart for Amy!! How could her management, her band her friends and her family not stop this!! I know she’s grown but my god!! She needed help so bad.
wow, she can't even sing her words properly and she's dehydrated. her managers should be ashamed for making her perform when she clearly needed rest and some water. she shouldn't have left us the way she did
How could those people that were close to her not stop her? They could have refused to work with her until she got help for her addiction. It's just unbelievable, a blind man could see what was coming.
GhettoRanger Yeah it's pretty upsetting that everyone just lets this play out as if everything's okay :/ I bet even if she fainted they'd still let her perform.
+GhettoRanger Thank u for your incredible comment. it just goes to show there are people in this world who are sick cough cough her father and everyone close to her. if this was my daughter i would get her help asap and be there for her instead of milk her for money,, and actually do the right thing but just shows how many fuckers u got in this world. its very sad bro
+qoiiop h Dont be so fast to throw dad under the bus... Have you ever tried to ask/tell/help a dope fiend to STOP? You would have better luck talking a leprachaun into giving you his pot o gold..You cant help someone who dont want to change.Esp a person with power like a pop star thats use to having their ass llicked by all.The backup singers and her cook/security/keepers etc constantly begged her to get help and tried everything to no avail..She said NO NO NOOOO what?did u think she was singing that cause it was good lyrics?SMH
This is beautiful.. human vulnerability and a fighting human spirit.. this is what we all are inside.. we are all broken.. she was just public about and didn't care.. RIP Amy
The heart saying Blake in her hair. Their relationship was one of those that was always going to end in each of them falling further down the hole. Too much toxic love, compounded by drug use, to the point where they felt it was them against the world. I don’t think she would have listened to anyone. Hearing her sing Rehab is horrific. You often hear the defiance, but also the regret in her voice. People singing along like it’s just a song, when it was her life. She is a national treasure for us in the UK, I walked past her statue in Camden only the other day. I hope she’s at peace.
angel nava I agree. She might have at times had the help she needed. She made choices. At the same time she was sick/very addicted and these people should not have allowed this. She needed help then and there and they encouraged her to go on. She could not have fought this battle on her own. I am amazed at how many performances she had done in this state, in her condition, but she was money to them, so she didn't get the help and support she needed. It's so sad. We Love You Amy!
When she was good she was beyond fabulous. When she was on drugs she was really sad. Lesson for us all. Very sad for all she could have accomplished, and very sad for all of us she left behind. Rest in peace dear girl.
I would have caught you and carried you off and fought the world to protect you until you were okay . I love you my precious angel. I be with you one day sorry I left you for one second and you slipped away forgive me my love ❤❤❤

The world did this beautiful talent dirty. It’s just a tragedy. Even with (I presume emphysema?) and intoxicated, she is bubbling over with talent, wit, and genius. God I wish she was still here and happy with the kids she always wanted.
She was forced to perform by her management team in the weeks leading up to her death she was so out of it she got booed and cursed off the stage by the people who claimed to be her fans.

It sure is a shame that she is on the stage in her condition. I blame her dad and managers, all they see is money. In the song rehab she sings her father says she does not needed to go. The best jazz singer and writer of our time. Her songs were the story of her life, unfortunately .Amy could not handle fame and the press. Rest in peace Amy. Now you do not only sing like an angel, but you are an angel.
I picked up on that, it sounds from her lyrics that she actually wanted to go, but because she's so busy, or her managers are keep her work load at 100, plus her dad thinks she's fine (using her for his payday). Listen to the way she says that part about her daddy
@@danielsimmonds464 After surviving an extreme overdose of cocaine, heroine and alcohol, the majority of the people actually wanted her go to rehab or even lock her up in her own house for her own safety. Friends and business people. But daddy dearest didn't find it necessary to bring her to rehab! When I heard the song for the first time, i was surprised by the sentence 'and if my daddy thinks i'm fine'. How can a parent think you're fine? But later i heard the rumers about Amy's addiction and looks and behaviour, i realized that she didn't feel validated by her parents. Too often it's a reason for selfdestructive behaviour. After watching the documentary 'Amy' i think her father was extremely naief. So sad. A gifted voice is gone.🔊🔉🔈🔇🔌😢😭
@@s.wright6945 That's possible. When they were on vacation, Amy was surprised that her dad invited public. Apparently she thought they gonna spend some quality time with her family. And all daddy says was: 'But Amy, we need publicity'. I don't know who he meant with we, but it was definitely not Amy. I'm told that Amy was a modest person who didn't like big crowds.
If she was my daughter/sister/friend whatever....she would have been locked in a room until she got clean. How mitch could say she didn't need help....what a prick!!
and knowing how much music meant to amy (with how she talked about it in interviews) going out and performing like this must have absolutely mortified her. When amy was on top form.... well we all know she could match the best jazz singers of all time but this performance is so so sad. poor amy 😭😭. she was surrounded by people who were only concerned about her making money and not about her mental and physical health. very very sad. also while she's singing rehab and saying 'no no no' it's heartbreaking as it's so very clear to see that she desperately needed to go...to stay there and to get herself better!! hope mitch is pleased with himself that he chose back to black over his daughters health and well being!!
Caz l completely understand what you say. I had a brother with an addiction. I actually did keep him in house for 3 weeks against his will. As soon as He hit the streets right back again to alcohol. He was in lock up in VA hospital 3 times no help.He had part off his esophagus removed. once pronounced dead on the operating table and survived. He died from drinking. If someone does not want help, nothing will work. I tried four 6 years, I think it hurt me, mentally more than him. who knows maybe they might of met in heaven?

She is amazing. I really hope she is happy And at peace now. Yes I also noticed the raspiness and it sounds so good. It has been so depressing to lose so many amazingly talented musicians in the last five years or so and also just really good actors And decent people
